The team was great and the car is great, the only issue was the experience of getting to the office to take the car - our flight was delayed and so we had to find a way to the offices which was a bit challenging

Please inform the broker BSP Auto that the Europcar office is not momentarily in the Athens airport. We would have chosen another rental car company should we have been informed correctly on their website because of the waste of time.

We had a great experience with Europecar Athens Airport. We received a great car, and everything went very smoothly both at pickup and at return. But more than that we could really feel that it was genuinely important to everybody that we will be happy with our rental. We greatly appreciate that.

I believe my customer service agents name was Antonis, I might be wrong however he was awesome. He was patient with my awkwardly heavy luggage and made my check in process so easy. I was a bit concerned when booking because I learned that the rental agency was not in terminal, but Antonis(?) was waiting for me right outside baggage claim and made sure my checkin process was easy peasy. He even made sure I'd have someone to shuttle me back to airport once I returned vehicle.

I made the reservation at Europcar app, indicating hour for dropping the car was going to be at 6am. It was not indicated anywhere an additional fee of 37€ if we want to return the car before 7am.
Rest of the service es good and the lady who attended us was very nice.

Our experience with Europcar was excellent

Our experience with Europcar was excellent. They were very helpful and did everything they could to help us and very good customer service.
Our problem was with carjet.com who we rented the car through who in no way helped us or did any kind of customer service.
We recommend Europcar. But warn everyone to handle through carjet.

Employee on site said its not necessary to record all pre-existing damage of car on the diagram i was asked to sign. I explained i wasnt comfortable with that but he insisted that only major damage is recorded on diagram. I didnt want to argue so instead i was forced to take a video of the car just so that i have some evidence that damage was pre-existing in case i was blamed for it.

Other than the above, no other issue.

All in all it was okay, the only think that made me mad was that my creditcard was not „working" (everywhere else it works), so I have to pay with my normal bank card and has to pay extra insurance taxes.

Dear Europcar,

We entered the Athens airport arrivals hall and went to the Europcar desk (03Sep22 at 18.00 hours). There it took more then 2 hours! Waiting time, with 5 clients in front of us to receive the rental agreement (it was already fully prepaid online) and 2 Europcar staff members helping at the desk. How is this possible? I am a Travel Industry veteran and I have never experienced this before in my life... and has caused a huge frustration and a very late arrival at our final destination! Which in this case with this treatment in unacceptable!

Europcar really needs to do something about this!

Due to this delay, some of the reservations of people who were on time coincided with those who were late. Because of this, the delay was quite rightly mentioned, which was the cause of the delay. He offer us that to add 700€ more what it a rediqoules.
He tell us "every one has is own noise".

The staff was perfect, kind and competent!
They were very punctual both on arrival at the airport and also when they took us back to leave at the end of the rental.

The car was very clean inside and out.

The only thing I didn't like is that the car didn't go very well, it didn't have good road holding, perhaps because the wheels weren't new or because they were very worn. In the corners we had to be very careful and go very slowly to avoid drifting.

5 stars for the staff
2 for the car

What a mass

First the Europecar server was down and we had to wait for more than one hour before we could start. Then at our first stop 45 min away we realized that the electronic of the locking system of that absolute new car was out of order and we had to wait for a substitute car kindly brought to our spot by a Europcar assistant.

Very efficient

Very efficient. We were met at the airport so we weren't trailing around looking for the office. Cars fit for purpose and very pleased with our chose to use Europe Car. All the people we had dealings with were professional and friendly with good English.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. I will never work with europecar again. I rented a car from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and when I arrived at the airport there was no service port, I had to call them to receive me. Car at 23:00 that was in the contract and already paid. I asked them to cancel the contract but they said that this would not be possible since I had already paid. Bad experience... Upon delivery of the vehicle, they signaled a damage that was on the vehicle before and they were only convinced when I showed a video that I made myself at the time of reception. Anyway, never again... We have many companies even at the airport that will certainly provide a better service.

It was difficult to find the rental desk which actually was in the car rental parking and also difficult to reach the parking as it was far from the airport. We had to call the main company and wait til we get some instructions and luckily they sent us a shuttle to drive us to the parking place. Everything was fine with the check in. Very pleasant boy and helpful. What actually we didn't like is the extra insurance service, it could be more flexible and not so complicated. It should be provided by the car company and not 3rd parties. In general the car was new and we really enjoyed the ride around the island.

I received a booster seat for +5 years child instead of a full baby seat for 3 years old child. That is not safety at all. I had to put my child of 3 years in a booster...

The USB socket into the car doesn't work so it is impossible to plug your phone to charge it. I had to use my phone as GPS (google maps) but without USB socket, my phone got low battery before I reach my final destination.

It is the first time in more than 15 years of using Europcar that I really feel unconfortable in a rental car.
For me, it is a very bad experience.

The staff were wonderful, such lovely people, the car was perfect and the same as the booking picture, it was just difficult to find as I arrived late in the night and the phones weren't connecting, but when I did the staff cheered me up!

For the price I was expecting a more performant vehicle. Ok the car abyway is pretty new but I am not sure it belongs to the right rental group in my opinion. Besides I was honest by saying that my plan was to take the ferry and go to Naxos and for that I had to pay a fee because apparently there is no insurance for the ferry transfer. I mean, honesty did not pay. How many people say that instead of avoiding the fee? And anyway this story of no insurance of the ferry is completely unfair. Greece has thousands of islands but it is still the same country. It never happened something like that for other rental in other countries.
