I have been studying for 4 years. They offer a good curriculum and the teachers have been good. BUT THEIR BUSINESS POLICIES AND SERVICE ARE TERRIBLE! 1. They will use high pressure techniques and not take NO for an answer. 2. You only have about 2 days to get a full refund. After than cancellation fees are 50-100% of the enrollment cost - that is about $600-1200 USD 3. They will charge you to change your start date if you attempt to do so more than once no matter what is said by the salesperson 4. If you have a financial problem with them, they will stonewall you and since they are not bound by US laws, there is little recourse. Kiss your money good bye. Their business practices are unjust, disrespectful and unfair. So be very careful when you buy something from them - and record your conversations if possible. Good luck. If you know this before you sign up, you won't get stuck. (PS - and yes, if they incorrectly charge your credit card just submit it as fraud because they will never admit that they screwed up and don't seem to have a reliable accounting system).
I feared not being able to retain what I was learning at my age, but I am. So far, so good. Naama is patient. I would only wish for more feedback on my homework. Am I making any mistakes?
This is my 3rd level with E-teacher. I would like to make Aliyah to Israel someday, My goal for now is to be fluent in Hebrew in a little less than 5 years. I'd been trying to teach myself, even got Rosetta Stone, but I just wasn't making a lot of progress, Then I found e-teacher and even though it was a little expensive I decided I would to be frugal everywhere else and splurge and take Level One. I am so glad I did. I loved the way the class flowed and how well you could understand the concepts. Level Two was a lot harder than Level One. I love Level Three as the stories are so interesting. My biggest weakness is remembering all the vocabulary. Sometimes I'm so busy at work it's hard to keep up with my studies and other weeks I am on top of them. What I love the most is my teacher. I have been blessed with the same teacher in all 3 levels. Having the same teacher is making me accountable to someone other than myself which is what I need. The only thing I would like to change is to be able to have continuous access to the recordings from my previous levels.
I have a such love for the people of Israel. Since I was a little kid I always wanted to visit Israel and learn their language. 8 years ago I became a member of Orr Shalom an Organization for Children and Youth at Risk. A=And for that reason I have been wanting to learn Hebrew so bad so I can communicate with them when I visit them.
In march 7 2022 a sale representative of Rosen School contacted me and offer their course. Everything was so fast and weird I asked the representative to explain more she said as soon as you make first payment someone will get in contact with you she didn't said how they will contact me. On march 9 2022 I requested the course to be cancel due to medical reasons. I called their number on their website several times without success I wrote several emails, I texted them on what's app they keep saying someone will contacted in 48 hours they did but days later
About 3 days ago and today I have been argument with this guy from Finance He has disrespected me in all the way possible. I requested to be given a chance to speak with a manager or supervisor he said " you are not allow to speak with no body here but me" I am still in shock, I could hear in the back ground they were laughing. I never started the course. He has been harassing me over emails. I have already reported to the bank as fraud and also reported to the Canadians authorities.
My heart is bleeding I am so devasted by this experience, I am going through some serious injuries and dealing with this Rosen School representatives is taken my life from me.
I need help if someone knows how can I get my refund back and make this people stop harassing please reply here.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the course with teacher Yona Gur. I have learned so much during these months. Yona is a great teacher, patient, funny, yet demanding. Perfect!

First it was eTeacher, then it was Rosen School of Hebrew and now I see them advertising on Jpost as the "Israeli Institute of Hebrew". Only con artists need to change their name regularly.
What I'm shocked and disappointed with is the Hebrew Univ. Giving them a veneer of respectability and credibility.
Just do not deal with them. If you really must, then refuse to give them a credit card number and refuse to allow them to make withdrawals from your bank account. Instead, tell them you will send them a check for each instalment you agree on. And that's the othe problem - their "tuition" changes depending on how determined and resolute you are in negotiating the lowest price. Best price is nothing at all until they are audited and the Hebrew Univ. Either cleans up their act or has its name removed for it lends a degree of respectability to these same con artists (I checked the people involved - same as eTeacher). I now no longer trust Hebrew Univ. For its association with this group is questionable.
For those who are happy, some of the teachers are great and they're underpaid. Check and see who now owns this operation. Used to be it was a Pomoja company.

Aliza Katzman is my instructor and I could not have hoped for a better instructor! The course is instructive and certainly relevant to contemporary Hebrew.

I looked at the course it was very primitive in their teaching at best, worse than some of the free courses available online, A complete waste of money so I sent an email to cancel today July 27th@ 8:59 AM
They claim that this was over 24hrs and want to charge me and additional $59.65 over and above the $75/- they charged me initially
Please be aware these guys are a total ripoff, stay away from them

Very bad that this company has a very hostile and offensive customer service in Spanish, they have been sending me emails that they were trying to contact me, and they charged my card taking advantage that was the first day of the year, January 1st., when i havent decide how i was to continue the course. Then the girl from the customer service sent me an email stating that i was aggressive and was behaving as a child? Where in the world a customer service treats a customer like this? After reading the reviews i found out they are ready to take your money but not ready to help you. Stay away from this company. I found out Rosetta Stone has a cheap and very good teaching set, you can do it at your time, and repeat the lessons again. Please be careful. I called and asked for an english speaking customer service representative, i hope they really can help. In my opinion more posts and tools to improve the learning experience of every course. As for the rest I'm very satisfied withe eTeacher.
I now have private lessons and its awesome. I improve real fast and the teacher helps me to reach my personal goal in learning to speak Hebrew.
Since 2011 I was thinking and planning to start to learn Hebrew. Happens that my first daughter born and I had to change plans, for good of course. So, finally, this year, on 16th September I decided to enroll in this course. I'm from Brazil, but the course is online and provided by an Israeli company. The sales pitch from the attendant was perfect, explained to me that, because of the Rosh Hashanah, I would have a 70% scholarship on the course. I subscribed to the course and the deal was an enrollment payment plus 7 payments in a total amount of R$1200 (one thousand two hundred Brazilian reais - something like $300 USD). But the dream becomes a nightmare. When I made my access to the online dashboard to check the course, the course I was on was not the one with Live Teacher, but a self-paced course. I contacted them and explained that I understood that I was buying the course with a live teacher. This happened on the next day, less than 24 hours. They said they would listen to the conversations and would give me a reply ASAP. 11 days since that talk and today they decided that I bought the right course, and, if I desire to cancel, they would retain 30% of the full amount "because I was canceling after 24 hours". This is more than disrespectful. The delay of 11 days to answer me benefits the company? Shame. Disappointed and frustrated with something that should have been a great experience.

Great way of teaching hebrew in hebrew! The best way because you practice thinking in hebrew instead of "translating". Highly recommended!
Answer: I have the same experience - they took from my visa account 824 Euro for 1,5 teaching hours - the whole amount for the whole semester even if I cancelled after 1,5 teaching lessons:-(
