A fireplace grate was on backorder and and could not find the style I needed any place else. I thought after 6 months it was discontinued. I gave up on it and about 2 months later I got a call from Kathy, she held on to my request and informed me they were in stock again, so I ordered one. Fast delivery!
I called on Thursday with questions, they took my number and a tech called me back shortly when he was free from another customer. All my questions were answered and I placed my order. That afternoon I received email conformation for the transaction and another email that it had shipped. The next day at lunch time FEDEX freight calls me to set up a pick-up time for Monday. Fireplace and pipe arrived Monday undamaged. I was completely impressed with how quickly I received my order. This fireplace is being installed in a new house we are building and I will order from efireplace again when I need a fireplace.
Customer service was very helpful in helping us select the right unit and size. Shipping was fast and the whole process was very easy. We have our new unit installed and everything is working and looking great. We will definitely use them again to convert our wood fireplace to gas.

Its awful! There is no assistance with any installation issues, but most importantly if there is problem with your unit you have to go with a 3rd party company. The first one couldn't find the part that was missing off my brand new fireplace because their numbers were different from fireplace and now I have been waiting for 5 weeks for a special toggle switch. Its like a bad Friday night live skit.
I ordered a $1400. 00 fireplace log set made by Real Fire G46-30-11p. The delivery went fine but that was it. I have installed many log sets. This set in particular was tough from the beginning. I can't blame the fireplace store for this. It was what followed that I am giving them the rating. It took five phone calls to the technical department. Four times I was disconnected after waiting on the live for a total of almost 2 hours. When I finally got through Brennan could not help but promised he would contact the factory and get back to me. He never did. On the sixth call to the seller I was told there was no Brennan.

Ordered some fyre logs to ship to Canada. Good price and in stock. Responded quickly to both my questions and in providing a quote. Disappointed that Shipping was 1/2 the price of the item at $140 because no free shipping to Canada. Had to call them back after my order as my package hadn't been picked up by UPS according to the tracking #. They quickly fixed the problem when I asked. A few days later I get an second invoice for $100 brokerage fee from UPS. I would have still ordered but I would of appreciated being told the full price of shipping was $240 or that additional charges would apply.

I ordered a blower from them and realized once it arrived that the way the gas line was placed I would have to hire someone to move gas line and the glass plate and logs in order to put this blower in and get it to fit. It wasn't worth it IMO. Trying to return and their return policy is outrageous. They are trying to charge me for original shipping that I got for free, restocking fee of %15 and I have to pay to ship it back. So the total will be over $80 for something I didn't need. They won't budge.

Answer: Hi Ed, Thanks so much for your interest. That's a fair question as receiving freight shipments is not, generally, a normal part of the day for most people. Yes, the customer does indeed need to be present at time of delivery. This is to not only physically receive the freight but also to inspect it and sign for it. Most freight companies will not allow their driver to simply drop the freight without the customer being present. Regarding the unloading, there are two options listed below. These are common for online sales and delivery. You can choose "curbside delivery" which is free and will have the driver bring the freight to you but the unloading is your responsibility. Often, our customers will back up their pick-up truck the rear of the delivery trailer. That way the merchandise can be off-loaded into their vehicle and they can drive it right up to the home. Alternatively, you can choose "liftgate delivery" which includes a hydraulic tailgate on the rear of the delivery truck for lowering the merchandise down to the ground. This option carries a cost of $75. Once off-loaded to the ground, moving the freight up to the home is the customer's responsibility. Regarding "hidden costs" there are none - unless a delivery appointment is made and then broken by the customer. The shipping company levies a $130 redelivery fee to have the merchandise brought back out to the customer. However, this only applies if the customer changes their mind on the delivery appointment or the delivery address after the delivery has been scheduled. In either case, at time of delivery, it is very important that the shipment be fully inspected for loss or damage prior to the shipment being signed for and received. We've researched this events on this customer's order and, while we did recommend the customer contact the manufacturer directly for escalated installation assistance, we never would have recommended they resort to a third party company for parts. The exact opposite is the case - we have a claims department standing by ready to file claims with the manufacturer for no charge replacement parts. It appears that our attempt to save the customer and their installer time by referring them to the manufacturer's tech department set them on a path of greatest resistance. While we are too late to intervene and assist with the parts needed. We are certainly happy to reimburse the customer for these parts they should have never had to buy.
