I have an excellent Credit Score, pay every thing on time and ahead of time, pay as I go. And If I put one thousand dollars on My AMEX and pay them before they are due CK docks me five points on my Credit Score because I spent 1K. They don't event wait to see if I am going to default. They should be looking at my bank account and be offering me lines of credit instead of hitting my credit. Every thing Paid up 100% for every $500 spent it's at least 5 credit points.

Not current
July 18, 2023

Although they say they're current, they are not. For example: I've had one credit card paid off for over 2 weeks and it still shows I owe about 50 percent of the limit. Credit Karma says they update daily. That is tough because I'm trying to monitor my credit so I can use it better.

These scammers claim your credit score is updated daily and even if you have had an account for years they will shove the "we don't make the info" spiel in your face. I just got done talking to the 3 credit companies who have the correct info and so I get on the chat with credit karma and say "hey you have the wrong info on my credit karma account." It's either a bot or a moron answering the chat because they were not interested in helping me, they were interested in parroting a script. Credit karma is not to be trusted and I would never in a million years on this planet or any other sign up for a credit card through them, their bottom line they make money from. Just a bunch of scammy crooks lookin to make money off people. Get a credit card straight from the source, not from lousy data brokers that don't even have their onfo about you correct.

Do not put money on a CK debit card. If ur money gets taken, they automatically deny ur claim. All foreigners are handling ur money concerns. Do not risk it. U will never be able to speak to a manager or an American! I am very disappointed. One operator pretended to escalate my concerns and when l called back, l found out nothing was done. I received an email telling me to contact the vendor who frauded me. Horrible! I stopped my automatic deposits. Your money is not safe with these monsters!

Wow! What a horrible downgrade. I've been forced out of Mint and forced to use Credit Karma. After being told the functionality would be there... Its just horrible.

The Good: Credit History. Net Worth.
The Bad: No tracking bills, No tracking budget, No tracking manual loans, No reports that you can customize, No almost everything that Mint provided.

Do yourself a favor and find a different service.

This place didn't keep my information or money safe. Worst banking app ever used the worst customer service ive ever dealt with and I do not recommend this banking app to anyone they are very unhelpful. The thief's name was all over my account and they still denied my disputed transactions. This banking app is one of worst banking apps out there. They don't do anything to protect your money or your information I've been trying to close my account sense cause who knows what information the thief has of mine but they won't close my account says they have to contact a higher level of people. Again worst banking app ever and highly suggest you do your banking business elsewhere cause this place is a joke when it comes to protecting your information and your money. Do bussiness here and you might just be a victim of fraud just like me.

Hard inquiry means someone ran a credit check on you, like a thief looking to open accounts in your name. Credit Karma notified me in May 2023 of a hard inquiry on my Equifax report. I checked it out. An fraudulent account had been open and a purchase made. A lot of work and time was spent to fix this so my 815 credit score wasn't damaged. Problem is, Credit Karma now thinks that since I responded so quick to their "hard inquiry" mail, they can just use "hard inquiry" to get my attention fast instead of "hey look at this deal" email.
I don't appreciate their scare tactics, so I contacted them. I asked that they show me the actual "hard inquiry". The reply I got was an email telling me what Credit Karma does as a service. In other words, we couldn't care less about you because we're only in it for the money and we'll continue to do as we please. Avoid this company.

Truth is Credit Karma has helped me balanced my credit by keeping me alert to make my on time payments and by alert me of any due bills I might have that's upcoming. When I started this journey with Credit Karma my credit was in a very bad place and was terrible! My score then was in the 300 range very very poor. Credit Karma helped me to get rid of my negative debt and resolve with many creditors any outstanding balances. I love Credit Karma for helping me maintain all my good statue's I worked on to keep all my asset's in great shape. For the record I've been approved for many credits cards through the Credit Karma App saying my approval odds are good or great for certain cards and loans but Credit Karma bases your score of what you could be approved for and doesn't guarantee that a bank will approve you because there are certain credentials you have to have to get that credit or loan. These words are my words that I say and I stand behind Credit Karma 150%

Credit karma is a liar!
October 30, 2023

Credit karma sent me a email saying if I wanted a new card I could check credit cards without it affecting my credit score. It was a lie as soon as I checked it my scores dropped over 30 points. Now they trying to lie again. I will be going over to credit sesame. I have Capital one. All my cards are paid on time. They will do everything to keep your credit down. Transunion immediately drop my score after I checked it. It was a prequalify for a card. Which shouldn't have affected my credit at all. So stop lying credit karma. Transunion is the worst of the three credit company's. And credit karma help them to make your credit bad.

Karma Guarantee
August 26, 2023

I applied for a credit card using Credit Karma app. It was a Karma Guarantee. I was denied but never received $50. Now the same card is recommended as OUTSTANDING. A pure scam. Credit Trash is my name for them now.

They locked my account for not reason. Called multiple times, they say they can't help. 6 days later still no access to my money and the meme we support team is a $#*!ing joke. They don't care as they laugh at people not having assess to pay bill even though I expressed I have children needing things. This place and people are a POS. Don't trust this bank. You will never give the level of service you need from a real bank.

Run the other way
March 15, 2022

Credit Karma is a scam of a company, do not open an account and give them your money. Once you do they'll mysteriously freeze your account denying you access to your money for weeks and not respond to your emails other than with the same form email that its under review. It seems there are hundreds, if not more, other people that this is happening to also. I see a potential class action lawsuit in their future.

There are so many "free" credit report sites out there with odious names like "Triple Advantage" that con you into paying a monthly fee to monitor your credit rating. Credit Karma is free with no weird issues. I do suspect the information is less detailed than some other sites... but there are no costs involved. No mysterious charges showing up after you thought you got something free.

It's not 5 stars though because it could be better. My credit score swings between 720 and 800+ mostly depending on my balances. If I have a higher balance one month then it can go down. I haven't used the tax services they have advertised. I think I will stick with TurboTax.

The only free credit check I've ever seen online. They say that it's just so because the score is estimated rather than a raw credit score, but they let you know about where you stand and how to improve your standing, as well as projecting consequences for missed payments and the like. Pretty good for the average joe who's making some attempt at staying on top of his score.

I don't know where to start with this, its just that bad. I was a long time mint user and the fact that intuit thought this was even close to an alternative makes me question if they like being in business. Credit Karma tracks your credit score every day because who needs that kind of frequency? Either you have good credit and you don't really care about day to day fluctuation or you are working on your credit and real change doesn't happen over night, either way its not really necessary. The whole account is basically just a big scam to ram credit card offers down your throat. Everything links back to an advertisement for a new credit card. I used mint to track my spending across multiple accounts and by categories but credit karma refreshes my spending once a month and literally only lists the balance on that day, NOTHING MORE. IF you want anything more than this you have to sign up for their checking and spending accounts through them, and if you do that it still offers minimal information despite your "premium account" designation. It does offer some tips on how to improve your credit usage that may or may not be personalized but it usually directs you back to applying for a new credit card. It kept suggesting I upgrade my credit accounts and the offers it gave me had less rewards than I was already earning. The whole thing is sad and desperate, makes me really question Intuit's whole operation.

Credit Karma was on top of things, the alerts notified me someone was making numerous credit inquiries back to back in 4 days. I was traumatized, after I collected my self I went into action obtaining free credit reports and there were 9 fraudulent inquiries pulling my credit score down. It was necessary to place a freeze on all three credit bureaus and fraud alerts to prevent devastating possible fraud. Thank you so very much for monitoring and notifying. Also there is plentiful information educating one on what to do in the case of identity theft, help is definitely provided in detail. I feel you are as my guardian angels. Love and Kisses
