I'm the private owner of an old Jaguar. The price of the report was a bit steep considering all the missing information (many items were empty), but in the end I got what I asked for: The most important facts about my car (in Italy). Lots of details missing, but if the Jaguar service shop I'm using doesn't update the data in the "official" systems, what can carVertical do? By entering the VIN code of my car I got some complete crap first concerning some cars of different brands located in US. However, after I paid for the report, the data I got was aligned with realistic facts (as far as I can judge) from Italy, where I live and where the car was first registered. Carvertical seems like an honest business for me, but I would appreciate lower prices if so much of the data on the report is missing.

Carvertical - what a scam that is, best not to use it, purchased a check with them, wanted to see what was the damage of the car, there is no pictures, they say damage type unknown and cost of repair unknown. Contacted them to obtain a refund, they have refused. They say they cannot be responsible for what insurance company is giving them, so false advertisement for the company really. Do not use them, it's a scam!
I went to look at a new car yesterday (Skoda Octavia) and having seen CarVertical on Salvage Rebuilds and Chops Garage, I decided to do a check with CV. Yes, it does cost a little bit more than your usual HPI and that, but the amount of info is second to none and gave me full confidence to go ahead with the car. I would certainly be using this service again if and when the time comes!

Pour ma part j'ai reçu le rapport d'un véhicule utilitaire acheté d'occasion dans un garage avec un descriptif très complet de tout l'historique année par année, avec l'évolution du kilométrage, ce qui permet d'être rassurer ou de pouvoir être informé de soucis volontairement cachés...
Comme je le disais dans le titre, c'est un peu cher pour un ou deux véhicules...

Exactly everything I was wanting to know about the vehicle I purchased. The previous owner didn't really have any good info about the history of the car. Found out I'm the sixth owner of this car, service records, mileage on the odometer was incorrect, (seller had already told me that info). Great report IMO, worth every penny. Yes, should have done this prior to purchase, but good info to have on hand. Would recommend this site!
Errors crept in, the report stated no finance outstanding, that is wrong, it is still under a loan, it also stated that it was not a "disabled" car when it is an ex Motability vehicle, other than those minor points seemed to work well.

Yes, all the dates is correct. I sey this because is check my car. I will buy in the future just after I will check.
The reports are too expensive and you are not guaranteed to get info that you are expecting. For example I paid only to check the milage, but I didn't get it.
UPDATE: After writing a complain to the support they assigned another VIN car check to my account, so I can check for one more car. I hope I will get all the car data next time.
