Purchased a new Keystone 5th wheel from camping world in October 2021. First shakedown cruise revealed the regrigerator was not working as required. Returned to dealer and explained the freezer works fairly well but the refrigerator compartment does not keep below 45 degrees; this even though the outside temperature was in the 50s in the northwest. They kept the trailer for a few weeks and explained they fixed it. We took trailer on another short trip and had the same issues with the refrigerator. Returned to dealer for a few weeks and they fixed it again. Did not fix!
We subsequently traveled with the trailer for 90 days through the southwest in hot temperatures and freezing temperatures. The refer stayed around 45 degrees when the ambient temp was in 40s and below. In Death Valley the refer failed to even attain 45 degrees. We had to purchase an expensive ice chest and live out of that for the duration of the trip.
Returning to Seattle we returned the trailer to camping world and told them the problem still persists. They kept it and tested it, replaced this and that, and said it works fine now. We took it home and tested it in driveway and it did not work. Returned to camping world and pleaded to repair or replace. They kept it another month and "fixed" it again. The same result.
This has gone on for one year now. Every test has failed but camping world will not honor the warranty to repair or replace. Now we have been told that camping world is turning the problem over to keystone (trailer mfr) and Norcold (refer mfr) to decide who pays. In the meantime we have no working refrigerator.
Camping world says they guarantee repairs for the first year of ownership, except when they have to actually replace something, then it is someone else's responsibility. So we wait for this to settle out. We will be living out of an ice chest for the foreseeable future on our trips. Thank you camping world for absolutely nothing. No integrity, honesty or help.
I ordered a convection toaster oven with rotisarie. Had to pay shipping. What i received was a pain toaster oven competely different of what the discription online was. I called customer service immediatly. She twisted my words around to i said i dont like the product. But i expained that it is not was i ordered. She couldnt help me and said someone will contact me by email. I ask tomto to someone and she said thats not possible and not the way it works. Long story short no answer after a whole week and when i called back and ask for a superviser i got told to call back in 2 hours. After i called then got told superviser doesnt want to talk to me and might call back... never happened. And when i said i want a return lable they told me i have to pay for it
I tried to explain it is not my fault they sent the wrong product. And found out later that this was the only choice available and that the online discription was wrong and misleading. They refunded the money for the toaster oven but not my shipping cost. That i really bad practice and customer service
Firstly to our first host, the young Hogan Mims, who attended us from the beginning, with interest, professionalism, patience for not knowing the English language (only Spanish), at no time did he feel frustrated or impatient, on the contrary, we he treated us politely and affectionately and found us a colleague who is bilinguals that he could translate and explain everything to us and the best options that we could've, he was attentive to everything that we needed to achieve our purchase, until the last moment he was by our side, we are really very grateful for all his behavior towards us, he is an excellent sales agent.
The second person who attended us was Oscar Dayoub,(bilingual), he was our translator when we needed him, a respectful man, Cuban like us, talkative, intelligent and friendly, characteristics of our countrymen, who treated us as if we were family, explaining all the things in detail and he called us when it was necessary, some document so that we could take it to Camping World and he always gave us his positive opinion in all the procedures that we were doing, at all time he was present helping us to have the best possible time in that process, without this person, Really do not know if we would have achieved our goal, how did we already do it, once again a thousand thanks for your excellent performance as an agent and worker and for your help towards us, many blessings to you and your family. And finally, I also want to thank the gentleman, who explained to us each and every one of the things and parts of our new Rv, he showed a lot of patience, knowledge and professionalism, he was also very friendly, I don't know his name and II apologize for that. And many thanks also to, the last agent, who assisted us Rashaad Duncan, with whom we ended up signing many papers and documents necessary for the purchase of the trailer, he was very professional, creative and explicit, we really liked the attention he gave us, thank you for all your help.
Poor QUALITY and even worse service at G-town Ky. In for service the last 2 months and NOTHING done yet!
Both of us are disabled Purchased online they sent pictures of everything but what they did not want me to see, was told it was a very nice camper, and that everything was going to be checked out and in good working condition, paid full blown retail price for this camper I thought it would be in top condition when delivered, not the case when delivered the pig tail rubbed the pavement and rubbed into, ref. Roof vent busted to pieces from dry rot, roof vent in bathroom busted to pieces from dry rot, spare tire flat dry rotted, tail light didn't work, electric brakes all 4 wheels had to be rewired they did not work either, refrigerator circuit board was fried, ref. Gas burner rusted out, gas regulator and hoses had to be replaced gas valve on water heater had to be replaced, gas valve on furnace had to be replaced was leaking gas, roof leaked and rotted floor and back wall out like this when it came to me still leaks, tag holder was broken, tongue jack didn't work had a sheared pin in it, battery cover missing, bumper plugs missing, radio does not work, shower head leaked, outside shower hose leaks, smoke alarm In kitchen missing, 12 volt water pump don't work, fuse to gas detector was missing because of all the gas leaks fumes building inside camper, no keys to doors or storage compartments, they did not even have the title to it. Exaust fan in bath room is noisy, some inside lights don't work, some ext. Running lights don't work, propane tanks hold down bracket wing nut was missing, roof needs to be resealed, or replaced exterior needs to be re caulked at seems, window seals need replaced. Come to find out the camper was consignment they did not own it after they told me they just got it in and haven't had time to clean it up. ( Quote top reputable sales person) sold it to me. And they said it was checked out and ready to go. If that's not taking advantage of disabled people not being able to travel to see it then I don't know what is, the least they could have done was offer to bring a comparable replacement camper. Forgot to mention the holding tanks level indicators don't register right either some show 3/4 full when empty some shows 1/2 when full, roof still leaks when it rains. So everyone I talk to that want to buy a rv I will tell them my story with camping world and post on the internet on any feed back sites I can find about my experience at camping world. Pics sent never showed roof or any fixtures, rotted wall and floor, if it was checked out none of the above mentioned would have needed done, not even road worthy when it arrived, So you asked I told you.
CEO STATES THAT HE DOES NOT WANT ANY TRUMP SUPPORTERS AT HIS BUSINESS... SO JUST THOUGHT I WOULD PASS ON HIS WISHES
TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE NOT WELCOME!
Right out the gate I will say the sales and finance departments were pretty awesome. Hard stop. From there it has all been downhill. We took the RV on a 3 day trip to Syracuse and made a list of two items for the 90 day check up. We took it to the Rossford facility because there were a couple of warranty items that they had. It is a two hour drive. We told them when we arrived that the propane tank did not register inside the vehicle. The strange thing is they knew this when we drove it away but they needed the sale for the EOM and it was June 30th. They did not call us, we called them after two weeks. It took at least three calls to get any kind of an answer on the status. It was as if no one knew what was going on with it. We finally we found out when they would be finished, however, they never addressed the propane tank that we had told them to look into. A few calls later the tech said it was the wrong tank for the vehicle and needed to be replaced. They were supposed to call with the lead time. We had a trip scheduled for September 5. They didn't call me so I called them. No one was available in the service department so I asked for the service manager. Chad was very apologetic but that didn't fix the problem. The lead time is three weeks on the tank which completely thwarts our plans. I am annoyed that this wasn't dealt with when we first took it in. I am disappointed in Forest River for the mistake in the first instance. We paid a fair amount of money for a brand new RV and it turns out to be a bad move. If I could change time, I would not buy this RV and I wouldn't buy it from Camping World. This is not the best organization for extended customer service. I sent an email to Marcus Lemonis and did get an automated response saying all are read and some are answered. His problem is bigger than just me. I should have taken more seriously the reviews others had written, and so should Marcus. My bad. His bad.

I have a rv from camping world. They tell you that you have a three year warranty but it's a lie. Warranty for first year is for the things inside your camper. But they will always say it's your fault and make you pay for it. The second year warranty is the outside warranty. But again it's your fault and they won't fix it. The 3rd year is just structure. They always get out of doing anything. They don't care about the customers. All they care about is money. The one that bought shares Marcus Lemonis he don't care about anything. Except money. They just slap them together they don't test them to see if they are right. They always want you to bring them up to the shop when something is wrong with it. They want you to use your gas to bring it and to bring it back home. They don't want to make service calls because they know they would lose money with all the repairs. The service team sits around talking and don't work. The make out like they fix it and don't. If you by a used rv they tell you you have a warranty. But when you call them about a repair they tell you that you don't have warranty. So that you would have to pay them for the repairs.when I got mine the awning tore up the stove wouldn't light a door fell down window leaks. Oh and the heat tore up.i have had my rv fora little over 4 years but they always wanted me to bring it up and the awning was hanging out. I have a friend that got a rv from them and she had to fight them to get the toll package put on they wasn't even going to put it on and she had paid for it. She has leaks coming out from under the bunkbedsand a toilet leak and a leak under the bathroom sink. She hasn't had it but 2 months a they don't want to fix them. We should all get lawyers and take everything we can get from them.they need to be put out of business.
My husband and I purchased a used 2021 Keystone Montana 5th Wheel from CW of Concord on the 8th of July. The sole purpose of buying this camper was so we can live in it while we sell our current home and build another. We also purchased an extended warranty. CW explained that they inspect their campers and we did a walk through the day of purchase. The camper was delivered to us on the 28th of July. We had no way of hauling at this time. We then had power and sewer hooked up and we were moved in 2 weeks later. After 2 days of being in the camper, the gray tank needed to be emptied. We went to empty the black tank first and the handle would not pull out. It was stuck. So my dad calls them while I was at work and left a message for a mobile service tech. She calls later that day after I arrive home, but would not speak with him. Once I got on the phone with her, she had a bit of an attitude. I explained to her what was wrong and she informed me that we had to bring in the camper. I told her we are not able to haul it yet, plus we are living in it. So that's impossible. She said that is the only way it would get fixed. I, being frustrated at this point, said I should have never purchased a camper from them because of all the negative reviews. She then hung up on me. I then reached out to my salesman, who was great by the way, and he replied that he would forward the email to the service manager. I have to get a response. Since then, the kitchen sink was backing up. As we took the plumbing loose from the sink, black stagnant water was in the pipes all the way through the roof of the camper. Now we have to look for a second gray tank. We find it after days of searching and the cord is missing. My dad gets it drained and now the kitchen sink is working properly. Also, we cant get water to work in the residential refrigerator in the camper. My point to this review is that we paid $7,000.00 for an extended warranty and $68,000.00 for the camper and they were supposed to "inspect" the camper before they brought it to us. There is no way possible an inspection was done. They knew up front that we would be living in the camper and never once said we would have to bring it to them whenever there is a problem. Had these issues not happened immediately after delivery, I can understand. They failed to do their job and we are paying the price for it. I have contacted the CEO of the company and I'm currently waiting on a response. I also, have video of a service guy going through the camper work is. He never once pulled on the black tank release valve. The fact that the water in the plumbing lines was black and stagnant confirmed no inspection was done. I never write bad reviews but I feel this is warranted. If I can't get anywhere with the CEO, I will proceed further.
This is the worst dealer you could visit to purchase an RV. Both locations are horrible, Houston and New Braunfels. We purchased an RV in 2019 in cash. While driving the RV the spare fell out from under the RV because it was not secured properly. The vehicle was not a month old so it was under warranty. We reached out to the Houston location and was told since we live in Austin there was a camping World near us. We drove there with the RV and it was the worst execution ever. The service person we were assigned made every attempt to discourage us from leaving it there. Saying the manufacturer was bankrupt and they were not. The service person even told us out right that there were things they were not going to fix and that we needed to take it back to the dealership we purchased it from in Houston. After a few moments we decided to leave the vehicle there and I was sometime in possibly the early to late November right before the Christmas holidays. We are now in the month of January 2020 and we still do not have the new vehicle that we paid for. We have reached out to the manufacturer and they are not in fact bankrupt. They explain the process of their warranty and how it works and that they could very well send the parts to the dealer to repair the vehicle. I have called both locations in Houston and new Braunfels where the vehicle is kept or being repaired. Neither of these locations is of any help they are dragging their feet as if they have Not a care in the world. I would be very wary to purchase any type of recreational vehicle or trailer from either one of these locations because neither one of them are up to snuff for us up to par with their customer service and anything that they offer. I have attempted to reach out to the location managers as well as reached out to the corporate office and each person attempts to tell me how they can't change with someone else has done but they don't mention how they will go ahead and get the problem solved as quickly as they possibly can. Having pay cash for recreational vehicle that you have yet to actually drive anywhere is pretty bad. So for those of you considering camping world you may want to check out their reviews because they are very bad including my review and they also have a ton of better business reports a ton of them over the last three years. So by your beware.
After seeing all these horrible reviews, guess where I'm NOT going to purchase ANYTHING. I appreciate everyone's "warning".
Worst place I have ever dealt with. They do not deserve any stars as far as I am concerned. I recommend recording your conversations with the service department and keep a memo of record and get everything in writing that you can. It took 5 months to get warranty work completed and was lied to about repairs made. It's a long story but I have documentation that backs up my statements above. Check out their other reviews before doing business there. If you buy your RV from another dealer and go there for service or warranty work you will not be valued. I was even told to pick up my unit before the warranty work was completed or be charged a storage fee so they could service other units that were purchased there. Forest River told me that I could go to any service center that sold their products. I always shop around and will travel to another state to purchase big ticket items if I can save money. Even with my vehicles if I drive four hours away to get a better deal, I can always go to my local dealer for service and warranty work with no issues. After my first dealings with Camping World of Colfax and finding out after getting back home that my camper still was not fixed, I took the drive to the dealership where I originally purchased it. After inspecting my unit the service department turned in a warranty claim to Forest River and was denied the claim because of an open ticket still at Camping world of Colfax. Forest River contacted me and sent documentation proving that the parts ordered for the biggest problem had been delivered and signed for. They even had the names of the people who signed for the parts. These parts were in their possession when I picked up my unit. I was told that those repairs had been made already. I was in a hurry when I picked the unit up and only did a quick look at the repairs. The control module inside the door was actually hanging off the wall and I went back inside and they sent someone out to remount it to the wall. I was told that it had been repaired and they must have forgotten to remount it. So I had to return the camper to Colfax again to have it repaired. I missed over a day from my job in travel time plus a tank of fuel or more trying to get this resolved. I was disrespected at Camping World and more or less threatened with a storage fee if I didn't come pick it up the first time. Plus the comment that my unit was not purchased there and that is was basically in their way didn't help the situation. I wonder if they turned in the work order to Forest River as being complete before it actually was? I was disrespected, lied to and bullied. I have waited a week before making any comments hoping that I would cool off but the more I write, the more disgusted I get. My family, friends and I will never do business with Camping World in the future.
Call to complame about it. Thay don't tell you have to pay EX FOR drain hoses and TP I NEVER US A OVEN&MILAWAVE THINK
Been waiting 60 days for my plate that Camping World was supposed to get for me. After 45 days my temp ran out, had to rent storage unit to get my class b van off street. Called manager of store he hasn't called me back. Now I have a trip we are supposed to go on can't take our RV so have to rent one for 1800 a week for 2 weeks good luck with Camping World they are terrible
Please, whatever you do do not buy a camper from Camping World. They are very nice when they take your money afterwards you're treated like dirt spend your money elsewhere. They lie to you Mr. Marcus is the one that says oh you're not happy. I'm not happy he can care less if you're happy I'm haven't been happy for six months to fighting with them. They have my camper for four months. Do you think Mr. Marcus would reach out to me? Nope nothing they can care less. All they care about is taking your money if I can give them a -10 I would do not buy from Camping World or Ghana horrible.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
