BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I give them 1 star because 0 is not a choice. We live in Cleveland and found the Winnebago that we liked at Camping World Grand Rapids, we negotiated by phone, came to an agreement on price/financing/payment, gave a deposit, then drove 5 HOURS FROM CLEVELAND to GRAND RAPIDS stayed overnight, saw the unit AND DROVE 5 HOURS BACK TO CLEVELAND. After we gave the deposit, we couldn't get ANYONE TO CALL US BACK or ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS. Seems like once they get the deposit, YOU GET SLOW BOATED TO THE END. 4 days later they called us and said that our payment would be $100 per month higher and gave no explanation as to why. All the financial information we provided was accurate. We wasted 2 days of travel, paid for a hotel and nothing. Why in the world would they knowingly let us drive from Cleveland to Grand Rapids if they could not deliver on their deal? Camping World Grand Rapids is the worst, they'll take your money and that's when the communication stops. Buy ANYWHERE ELSE.
Jackson Brown was very helpful worked great getting our deal together everyone was very nice got the camper we loved
We purchased a used class C motorhome from Camping World in Summerfield, FL. The sales experience was fine. The salesman was actually very knowledgeable. We were very excited about our purchase. However, when we got to the financing and insurance part of it, that was another story. The price on the tag was $42,900. We did our homework and felt this was a fair price so we didn't negotiate on that. However, when the contract was written up the sales price was listed at $43,900. When we asked about the difference of $1000, the finance person mumbled something that we couldn't even understand. That was our first red flag and we should have walked away at that point. Then came the really fun part. The finance and insurance person tacked on a $12,000 extended service plan, offered us a very high interest rate, and would only give us the monthly payments... not the actual cost of the added items. We had to insist on a breakdown of the items that were tacked on. We ended up taking a $6,000 extended service plan and were told that 6.24% was the absolute best rate we could get. We have 840 credit scores and again should have walked away. Two days later we called to cancel the extended service plan and we were told that the dealership had already been paid by the bank (even though we did not pick up the unit until a week later). We called day after day to set up the delivery, but not a single call was returned. We finally just showed up at the dealership to see if the unit was ready. We were told it would take 16 weeks for the refund to be processed. We signed a cancellation form for the ESP, but the dealership did not send it in until we returned 6 weeks later asking why the third party administrator had not received the cancellation form. At that point they sent in the form. We learned a lot from this experience. We have bought a used unit from an individual since then and got our own ESP and financing at 4.79%. If you find your perfect RV at Camping World, as we did, buy the unit there, but get your own financing and ESP. DO NOT let Camping World talk you into that. We learned a costly lesson.
Listed my camper for sale on Facebook marketplace. Was emailed by Brendan Hall of Wentzville location that camping world was interested in buying my camper. Didn't reply to the email. 2 weeks later he called my wife's cell phone and made her an offer. Mind you we never gave any of our information to him so still don't know how he got the email or the phone number. He took the liberty of filling out the online camper valuation for us to get his offer which he denied along with everything else when I arrived. After they walked inside the camper, they told me they were only willing to give me $2300 less than the offer he made originally. I would have never driven my camper the 50 miles into that location for that. The reason he said was because they would have to put new seals on the roof. I asked him to prove the allegation. We went out to the camper for him to show me and that's when he realized my model does not have a ladder. Not one of them had looked at the roof. They didn't know that I had just purchased this camper a few months prior from a reputable dealer and they had put all new seals on roof per my request. Everything they said was a lie. When I asked for Brendan's manager to come out, he refused to get a ladder saying he didn't have to prove anything. They also called my wife a liar even after I showed proof that Brendan Hall had somehow found my wife's information and emailed and called her. He also stated that he hadn't been looking for campers on Facebook for at least 6 months even when I showed Brendan and his manager that the initial email was dated 1 month prior to my visit. If a zero was possible it would still be too much.
I took my rv to campingworld I sc and who ever was doing sevevice to it ran into another rv, if I hadn't went up there they would have not told me what they have done, Now it is back up at campingworld so they can fix the damage, I called them yesterday an talked to miceal who is there service manager he told me he would call me and he never retured my call, this is reall a sorry place to get your unit fixed I wouldn't buy nothing from them, don't buy any rvs form them there out right sorry, buyer beware!
The service at this place is terrible
Must be whoever is running it
They need to go broke
I look forward to that day
We bought our RV in 2018 the hot water heater went went out 6 months later and I took a camping world where we bought it they said they fixed it they gave me receipt looked at the receipt after I got home and it was for another RV another owner then the hot water heaters stopped working again so I was without hot water for another 5 months so I went to camping world again and put it in there I was without the RV for 4 months while they fixed it got it back and we had damage to it so they agreed to fix the damages went back we had more damage done to it came back and there was more damage done to it the manager told us that we're doing it as we're coming to pick it up and that they're not going to fix it and we said that we didn't do it we haven't even had it long enough to do anything we haven't taken off this site yet and they told us get it off or we're calling the cops on you. Each time I called camping world called a customer complaint and you saw him I was told the problems would be rectified that the service manager would be taken care of at the other camping world that threatened us to call the cops and I said I wanted to get our extended warranty refunded to us and they said they would do it and that was in 2019 2022 still no refund
Customer service provides lip service only. They lack processes to fill orders. Be prepared to wait.
Do not buy if you value your camping experience I promise you if you have a problem with your camper you are out a summer of camping VERY POOR SERVICE
Best online RV parts retailer.
The most transparent and professional RV supplies retailer available.
Ed was my salesman. Ed was so patient with me. Ed didn't pressure me in anyway. Ed showed me RV's for two days.
Insulting offers they completely dismiss rv nada values and go with some imaginary corporations numbers
Jennifer trafford was extremely helpful, as a first time shopper she left an incredible impression on me. I will definitely be back.
Rude and aggressive staff. Their "friendly" advertising does not match who they are as a company. Don't go!
Campingworld offer slow delivery times and then decline quidco cash back. Shop elsewhere for a cheaper deal
This is one of the most dishonest companies out there. Buyers stay away, they will not help you in any way other then to take your money!
We purchased a 2018 Jayco White Hawk on 4/7/21. Within a few short months (i.e., ~3-4), we began experiencing structural/mechanical issues. One of which (e.g., rotted floor on the slide), given the extent, had to be present at the time purchase. Subsequently, the latter also wasn't identified during the 90-day mark when we transitioned the travel trailer to the Camping World Braidwood, IL location to have the seals checked. We noticed the issue shortly thereafter.
Long story short, the travel trailer has been in services of some short and Camping World's custody for nearly 1 or the 2 years we've had it. To make matters worse, the work has often been shotty at best and required re-work. We've shared our mechanical/maintenance concerns with both the management team of the location where we purchased the item from (i.e., Georgetown, KY) and Camping World's corporate office. Disturbingly, they were less than helpful at best, and patronizing/condescending at worst.
We contacted a personal property attorney who advised we had a solid case; however, our warranty agreement limited mediation to an arbitrator. Given my wife's a traveling lab scientist who requires use of the product (and myself an active-duty military service-member with two overseas combat tours), we've decided to keep the item for the time being but are actively looking to trade it soon. We'll never do business with Camping World again and humbly recommend that anyone who's considering doing so read/take heed of the reviews submitted.
We ask that the Camping World senior leadership be made aware of this review. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. The treatment we've received cannot be indicative of the image the company wants to portray. Thank you!
I had excellent service at the Camping World Salt Lake City Utah!
I've had a series of problems since I started with this RV a 2019 Thor 30.3 rv since my purchase in February 2022 at Camping World, Gulfbreeze, FL. One of the many problems was the Furnace would not stay lit. The past three nights where I camped, the temp was 32*.
I went to the Camping World Service Center, Salt Lake City, Utah morning of 4-May-22 and told them of the all problems I've had with this unit, especially the Furnace, That I had emailed a list of my complaints to the Company CO Marcus Secretary of all the problems I have had with my RV,
The service manager Corry, at Salt Lake City (I guess) took sympathy on me!
They arranged for me to bring my RV in
The next morning at 9 o'clock and have successfully repaired my heater!
Salt Lake City Camping World has made me a very Happy Camper!
I greatly appreciate the service of Tina one of the receptionist, Jacquie Marcos the service advisor and of course Corry, the service manager and the technician that quickly found the problem with my Furnace! The problem was only a Bad Wire connection from the thermostat to the heater!
The heater works great now!
I greatly appreciate the special service they showed me with very friendly and professional attitude from all the Staff at Camping World, SaltLake City Utah!
I now very highly recommend Camping World, especially At SaltLake City, Utah
Bought a new Jayco travel trailer in January. Table was broken when we purchased it but they said it would be fixed before we picked it up. Picked it up and table wasn't repaired. Made a schedule to bring it back to have the table repaired. Also had the dewinterize done which cost over $70. Brought back to have table repaired and ask why the onboard water pump wasn't working. Turns out that they never did the dewinterization which would explain why I had to flush the system to get all the anti-freeze out. Pump wasn't working because they never turned the valve which would have been done had they actually dewinterized it. Argued for an hour with the service manager to get my $70 back for the work that wasn't done while he rolled his eyes and treated me as an annoyance for taking up his time. Jo, the service desk woman lied to me and said that they never flush the system of the anti-freeze but the technician said in front of her and the service manager that they always flush the system after a de-winterize. No respect to customers who just spent nearly $30,000 and to argue and lie is beyond just dishonest.
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
