I started using California Pet Pharmacy about 6 months ago. From the beginning, where we had to send the prescription in, make sure that everything was in order, CPP has been helpful and prompt in getting our dog Roger's prescription to us. I can place an order in the morning, and have received notification the same day that it has shipped! I save lots of $$$ ordering through them and have always received prompt customer service, even when leaving a voicemail. Thank you CPP!
Beware of this company. They sent me two six month supply's of heartworm medicine or pills and the box and the pills had an expiration date of 12/2017. I just received there pills from California Pet Pharmacy on 05/20/2017. I don't know if this situation is unique but apparently they may buy from a distributor and in my view provided my pets with almost outdated or short dated pharmaceuticals. I called Virbac, the manufacturer and they said I was sold "short dated drugs", but they may last through 2018. They also shipped it in a box handled via the snail mail which was exposed to a lot of heat and left in my hot mail box instead of delivered to my door. I guess I could have chosen better shipping options. Warn your local vets about this possible practice, maybe this is a one time incident, but who knows. It may cost more to buy from your local vet, but at least it's not short dated drugs exposed to a lot of time and storage.
By far the best place I found to by my pet meds from online. I used to use a couple places out east but their prices keep going up and sometimes would be back ordered on the meds. The people are always nice to talk to on the phone. They also pick up the phone FAST usually under 1 minute. I will continue to use California Pet Pharmacy.
I've used CPP for years and have never had a bad experience. The prices are always great, the customer service is quick and attentive and they handle the relationship with the vet effectively and efficiently. Thank you, CPP, for saving my household tons of money and helping to keep my beloved pets healthy for the long haul!
I have been ordering for years and never have had issues with California pet pharmacy. My refills are super quick and easy to do. I usually have to mail in my prescriptions because my vet doesn't want to deal with another pharmacy. I never have to wait any extra days for my medication because they are on top of their game telling me when I'm getting low and will need a new prescription.
I love CPP! I have been ordering my dog's daily medication from them for several years and have always received exceptional customer service over the phone and fast shipping. Their pricing is much less than my veterinarian. When my prescription is out of refills, they fax a request to my vet's office and fill it immediately upon receipt of the approval. A couple of times my vet's office lost or did not receive the request and CPP re-sent it when I called and asked.
Cheap prices got me in, lack of fulfillment and broken promises on order #1 will keep me from returning.
Order placed Nov 5, vet confirmed two days later. Received a call yesterday stating the firm needed my vet's name, which was on the original order. I have ordered these online for the last 5 years and get them within a couple days from every company I've tried, with the exception of California Pet Pharmacy.
After speaking to a representative yesterday, I told her that my dog was in pain without her meds, and her mobility should not be made to suffer due to the complacency of the company. I was assured the meds would be sent out overnight by the representative.
Receiving an email this am stating my order went out today (13th) and I would receive the product in 3-6 days. I detest being lied to.
I will gladly pay a bit more to have an ounce of service.
Excellent customer service! They faxed my prescription request to my vet immediately and I got my doggie meds within 2-3 days. They keep all my records. They make sure the exp date is good. I save lots of money. At least 50% of what my vet was charging me.
Days after my order is placed I receive a email saying either they can only place half of prescription or they need a new prescription! There are multiple refills on file so I have to call them every month to get them to fix their mistake! I paid extra for the faster shipping and was expecting these important heart medications the day i get email! I call and complain and ask them to ship them overnight since it was their error! They get a manager on the phone who is the rudest person i have ever talk to and she comes up with every excuse as to why they can't overnight the meds that I ordered 3 days ago and should have been here today! I finally tell her that it is her company mistake and they need to make it right and i can not wait another week on the meds! She says OH Well! DO not use this company!
Our dog was prescribed medication that is used by humans as well and the first time that we filled it, the bill was nearly $400. Someone referred us to CPP and we spend about $40 per month. We are so grateful for CPP.
NEVER AGAIN! I paid for Priority shipping. They shipped USPS First Class. It took 10 days to receive. I called Customer Service -- they told me they were back ordered. This should have been disclosed when order was placed. I would have cancelled and ordered elsewhere!
AWESOME! I used to order from another company that I didn't even know was not a licensed pharmacy. I guess you have to be licensed to do this stuff and it was some vet selling stuff out of his clinic pretending to be a pharmacy and got shut down. I found these guys and they took care of obtaining the prescription approval from my vet and even offered me a consultation from a pharmacist. WOW. I didn't think all this was required to sell pet medications but I guess a pharmacy is a pharmacy whether its human or animal.
California Pet Pharmacy is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with.
I ordered a medication that was sent to me in a closed sealed plastic vial that acted as an oven and totally subjected the medication to extreme high temperatures rendering the medication defective. They did not want to issue me a refund blaming me for the high temperatures when they are the ones that chose to mail the medication in such a ridiculous, dumb manner. I have been back and forth with them with no results. I threatened them with contacting the B. B. B and leaving negative reviews online and they did not care one way or the other. They need to get out of business.
Never again. Deceptive shipping practices. I paid for overnight shipping since my pet was sick, but I found out after the fact that they wouldn't actually ship overnight unless I paid $55. This is extortion. Customer service lied. Buy somewhere else.
I received an order from them and it was incomplete. I immediately called to report I was missing 3 out of 12 items. The packaging employee was not in and they said they would call me back next day. I called them the next day and was told the employee claims the order was complete. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she repeated the same, and said my only recourse was to dispute it with my credit card company. This was an order for two prescription drugs which were packaged. The pro-biotic, which can be purchased on the internet without a prescription, was missing. My total order was over $300. The three missing items were less than 10% of the total order. It was not even the most expensive item in my order! No credit with them was offered or to reship. There are many other reputable pet pharmacies on the internet that offer the same products. Even if I have to pay a few pennies more I will NEVER use this company again. Beware: They do not treasure their customers.
I used California Pet Pharmacy for the first time this month and was not disappointed! My order shipped out the next day and it took 7 business days to receive in the mail. If I ever need anything for my pet I will definitely order from here again!
I really like and depend on CPP. They have great prices and have free shipping over $100. They process your order quickly and have it promptly delivered. I've used them for several years and have been very happy with the quality of service they provide.
I have always had great service and great prices from CPP for the last 5 years. I live in Texas and understand that any medications ordered from CPP will take several days to arrive. Their customer service has always been friendly and it is easy to place an order.
CPP has saved me a lot of money over the years!
I have used CPP for a year and they have been timely in delivering my product, usually sooner than promised. Once the product was on back order they informed me and did give the the chance to get another product in it's place or wait on the product. It only took a couple extra days to receive the product. CPP was the cheapest I could find on the web.
I really liked this company and would have used them forever. However, there wasn't an account setting. Each and every time I would have to look up my vets info and copy and paste the street address, the city, the state, zip code, phone number, fax number, vets name... The account page has said "coming soon" for months. If they ever got that page up and running I would come back if I was looking for a new pharmacy.
Answer: Do you have a question? I believe you're sharing an experience... that would be under the rating section.
