I sent two items in almost a month ago and I still haven't recieved payment for either. I've gotten a few "status update" emails that were too little, too late and I was told over a week ago that I would recieve payment for one of the items in 2-3 business days... that certainly hasn't happened. Customer service has stopped responding to my emails. I've never encountered a company with worse business practices than BuyBackWorld. I've resold electronics to other companies before and had smooth experiences. I would avoid BuyBackWorld.

We're sorry you weren't happy with your experience with us on your most recent transaction. We cannot process payment until all devices in your order have passed inspection. As it stands, on 08/13/2018 your Apple Watch passed inspection for the Fully Quoted Value of $110. Additionally, we emailed you on 08/13/2018 in regards to your iPad 4th Generation being iCloud locked. In order to proceed with inspection we ask that you please remove the lock from the device. We then heard back from you on 08/17/2018 in regards to you removing the iCloud lock. Your device was then rechecked on 08/23/2018. It was found that you removed the iCloud lock so your device passed inspection on 08/23/2018 and your payment was then processed and sent out to you on the same day. Since you chose PayPal as your payment option, your funds were available to you for immediate usage. Thanks again and we look forward to hearing back from you in the near future.

Within a 3 minute time frame I was notified that my device passed inspection and payment would be processed, 3 minutes later I was notified that my device failed inspection and was offered a $1. I declined the $1, now the device is being shipped back to me.

What a waste of my time and packaging materials and USPS services.

Never again!

YOU CAN'T REACH THEM

They have hours posted for your chat, but it's never available. They also have hours posted to call, except that all calls go directly to a full voicemail and get disconnected. I've been trying to reach them for two days and cannot. Terrible customer service.

There Very good!

Scam artist

Like all the other reviews have stated this company never responds to any communication, even when they have your electronics. Interesting that all the reviews are 1 star or 5 star. And all the 5 star reviews have tons of exclamation points, Obviously very fake.

Lost return package and no compensation
May 11, 2023

I declined their low-balled offer and requested the return of my trade-in unit. The company delayed the return and it ended up taking a month to return my unit. The irresponsible carrier they used lost my returning unit and BuyBackWorld did nothing about it. Basically they did not propose any plan to compensate my lost but keep saying they were "sorry" about the event. Excuse me, for a customer, they would like to have a genuine apologize with a compensate plan. Very disappointed about how they treat the return items like they don't care about it.

Poor communication
February 13, 2020

Same complaints as other users here. Chat not available, call and VM full and not answering emails. Sent in 6 iPhones 5 weeks ago and they still have not processed. Order number is PS*******011. I used them in the past and had a great experience. Quick and easy! Not sure what the issue is this time.

Unjustly paid me less for half of my items
October 25, 2022

One person checked half of my items the first day and said they were fine and paid me what I was quoted. Another checked the other half of them the next day and said they all had fluid leaking all over them and paid me less or have them sent back. I felt I had to take what they offered and not have them sent back due to fear they would break them on purpose. When I securely packaged them they were all in perfect condition. Will not do business with them again.

Fast. Fair. Efficient

Knowing the surrender value of the device before sending is priceless! Printing postage paid ship label is immediate! The only real challenge is finding a suitable shipping container. Payment via Venmo is very fast! BTHO of dealing with a Pawn Shop!

Great Experience!

One could not ask for an easier way to sell electronics. BuyBackWorld provided simple forms to fill out, excellent communication, all the packaging needed to ship the item, and quick payment once the item was received and evaluated. The price received for the iPhone was the best that could be found! It was all in all a great experience! One word of caution: be honest in describing the item. BuyBackWorld will offer a price based upon the condition of the item.

Great Service-Best Price!

Approach with caution

10/26/18) My advice is to approach this site with caution. I made an "order" to sell them a Moto E4 (a current spec phone!) for the ridiculous price of $15. I stupidly sent the phone in & they received it on Sep 10,2018; I *finally* received a check on Oct 25 - a month & a half later! They claimed the delay was due to moving to another location. NOT MY PROBLEM. If they couldn't fulfill their business obligations, for whatever reason, they shouldn't have been accepting orders to buy or sell phones. I have to wonder how long it would've taken (if ever) to get payment if they hadn't seen one of my online reviews & replied to it. At any rate, they did eventually complete the deal; only time will tell whether the time frames will get better once they've settled into their new location. Your experiences may vary.

Got a quote based on model # of a 4G smart phone and submitted request for kit to send in. It went thru and no acknowledgement. Upon contacting "customer service", I was told they couldn't find my order and to re-submit. Then I was told there were TWO orders. I was then sent TWO e-mails with TWO tracking #'s and again, contacted customer service and told to use whichever one I wanted. They got my phone, said it was "different" and gave me a "revised" quote. After days of arguing, I finally accepted their offer. Then 3 days later, I got an acknowledgement. 3 days after that, I had to contact and threaten to file a complaint if not paid. I got paid within hours of that... FINALLY.

We're sorry you were not happy with our services. We strive to offer the quickest turnaround time and seamless process in the world, but do understand sometimes we fall short of your expectations. We had a manager review your order transactions and see that two orders were placed for the same item so we have cancelled and closed out the duplicate order. In terms of the Shipping Kit never reaching you, we send those directly to the address provided during the checkout process and then rely on the USPS to make final delivery. If there were any issues on their part, we apologize on their behalf, but we are always available via phone, chat or email to send a kit directly with tracking once an address is confirmed. In any event, your device was sent a revised offer from $12 to $5 because the model you indicated during checkout did not match the model we actually received. Your item was received on 12/31/2018, inspected on 01/03/2019, and the new quote was accepted by you on 01/09/2019. We then promptly issued your payment directly to your PayPal account on 01/11/2019 for the revised amount. We appreciate you trying our service and hope the next time we can provide you with a better experience. Thanks again for the opportunity to buyback your old products.

Smooth and efficient process

I recently purchased an iPhone 11 Pro Max but did not want to use my iPhone XS max as a trade in because my wireless provider was not offering fair market value and capped the value at a much lesser amount than what BuyBackWorld was offering. The process was easy and user friendly. I submitted what I was trying to sell, received a quote, mailed out my iPhone and in less than a week the exact quoted amount was deposited in my PayPal account. Very happy with the process and will use BuyBackWorld on all future transactions. I will also recommend to others who are interested in selling their mobile devices.

Lost or stole my phone

To make a long troy short BUYBACKWORLD recieved 5 phones from me total to purchase.
4 used ones and 1 new one.

Of course the 1 new one that was worth the most was not received. Im not sure how you get the other phones but not the new on when they were all sealed in the same package.
