I posted my business for sale and started to receive responses immediately. The site gives you a free trial but you can only respond to inquiries if you pay. Here's the thing... I have embedded my contact details into more than one section in my business description. Any real inquirer would be able to contact me directly- that's how you know it's a total scam.
I have over 9 listings and had responses. BUT not 1 of these contacts are reachable.
We would call and numbers are not reachable, we would email and no response. It is a disgrace that people would disrespect our sellers and brokers like that.

Every time an interested buyer enquires on our website, one member of our admin team will check to make sure it is not spam. However we are not able to prevent timewasters and we do recommend sellers use due diligence when contacting interested buyers.

We do treat any abuse of our service very seriously and we are always looking for ways to vet buyers more effectively whilst at the same time being careful not to put up an unnecessary barriers to any interested buyers who are looking to enquire, as this would result in a lower response rate for the business sellers advertising with us.

I would like to say how disappointed I am with how scams have flourished online.
I know of five people who got scammed on businessesforsale. This sham listing agency is bad for buyers and sellers. If you search for reviews online, you will see the first page of google has many negative reviews for this company.
Whoever reads this review, Businessesforsale is a scam, plain and simple, if you look online and search for reviews, you will find negative feedback from both buyers and sellers. If you a buyer that is unhappy they will not refund you, if you a seller that got caught in a scam. Hard luck, they don't care

I listed a company for sale with this site. I was initially not entirely satisfied, but they responded immediately to my concerns, and this does show good customer service!

Just listed my business. Immediately got responses with names that just seemed to weird and wouldn't invest in Ecuador. It just didn't feel right. I've paid for 3 months and have gotten 7 inquiries in less than 4 days but, I only 2 have responded. I'm letting all of them know that we can set up a skype call before sending information and nobody has replied (those are all the ones with weird names) the other 2 do seem legitimate.
So my thoughts is that you will get one or two real inquiries but the rest are people that work for the company that do it to make you believe that your money is going a long way.

This site is "free" to list your businesses however you need to pay a monthly or annual fee to respond to any queries. They then send you "fake" responses to your listing to entice you to pay the sign up fee. The closer it is to your trial period ending the more responses you'll get.
Listed twice and paid once to see what would happen. As expected, all of these person who were interested in the business never replied.
Avoid this site! Major scam!

This review is for sellers that wish to list there business with businessesforsale.com. I have to warn you not to list your businesses with this website, they are a scam listing site. They clearly state in there terms and conditions if you unhappy with there service you will be refunded, well I was very unhappy with there service, and no refund for me. They keep on delaying responses and making up excuses. I paid more than $100 to list my business with them, very poor traffic to my listing, and all the business inquires are fake and sent by the employees.

This seller got a great response to his listing which is still live on our site. To date he’s received 31 genuine buyer leads (these are from independent users who supply their phone numbers and contact details to the seller) and over 720 views in 21 days, which is an excellent result.
We say in our T&C’s 'Refund requests are reviewed on a case by case basis and issued at Dynamis’ discretion.’ This seller requested a refund as we would not display his personal contact details online, which we never do and is explained at the point of registration.
Over our 20 years of trading online we’ve seen terrific results for buyers and sellers globally. All correspondence for this case were responded to within one working day. This is a seller who is getting quality results from advertising on our site, but simply changed his mind and is now demanded a refund.

At BusinessesForSale.com we're committed to selling businesses, which is why we offer prospective advertisers the opportunity to test our service first. This gives you the unique opportunity of seeing whether there is a market for your business before you pay to advertise.
With a Limited Free Trial, you get to take out a listing on the site without paying for it. You will be able to view some of the information a buyer has provided, however we do withhold their full contact details until you select a paid subscription package with us. This is when we will release all the contact information of the buyers that have expressed interest in your business so far and you will continue to have full access to any new interested buyer that enquire going forward.
The Limited Free Trial lasts for 20 days after you have received your first response. After this time, your listing will expire. You will need to choose from one of our advertising packages to continue.
As part of our review process with business listings, if you try to include contact information such as email addresses or phone numbers within the description of your listing they will be removed by our team.
