I asked if we could use this service to find information on an uninsured driver who hit our car & was told that would be an acceptable reason; so we found her but unfortunately no information that we didn't already know about this person. While we had the trial membership, I searched myself & other family members, in which I found some errors; however the site offers a link to report errors, so I have no complaints about the peoplelooker site. The customer service reps are very professional & extremely friendly! The only reason I gave it a 4-star instead of a 5-star was because of my initial reason for the search, which showed less than I already knew about that person; but considering this at-fault driver is apparently known for deceit, I am not really surprised at the findings.
I am very impressed that this companies operations are based in New York, and answered my communication in a timely manner, with team members sincerely trying to provide a level of excellence with every communication.

I had a problem with BeenVerified billing. I did not notice that I had been charged on my credit card improperly for 3 months. When I discovered this I sent the company an email explaining what happened and asked for a refund. In less then 48 hrs. It was fixed and the charges reversed. What a breath of fresh air. I expected all sorts of hassles.

I paid the fee specifically to receive employment information on myself. There was nothing there. And the rest of the information on me was either missing, wrong, or incomplete. I looked up a few friends, and saw the same for them.
So I immediate wrote customer service asking for a full refund. They replied by the next day, and approved the refund.
I can't say I had the best experience with this site. But I did very much appreciate their quick and courteous customer service team.

It happened to me. I was pleasure surprise when Beenverified support staff - Linda - emailed with a resolution before I even look at my next email after writing them an email with erroneous charges were happening on my card after service was cancelled in Feb.

Only wanted to find long lost contact. Already had the old information. All they had was an address, phone and spouse that was 14 years out of date. Nothing up to date for the one person. I emailed request to discontinue any further charges to my card. Got a quick reply saying no more charges but did not offer refund of excessive charge. On this one search, it was useless!

I signed up to use "Been Verified" on a short-term (trial) basis, as I was seeking a single piece of common information about a "long-ago" friend with whom I'd lost touch. After providing basic information that was required for the search to begin, the results which "Been Verified" found were, I felt, inadequate, considering the fee I'd just paid. I notified the company by e-mail, and on the very same day "Been V Verified" made arrangements to discontinue membership (at my request) and refund the charges. I find that to be extraordinary in this time of widespread deception, both on the web and in countless other ways. I am sincerely and surprisingly pleased with "Been Verified" 's customer service... nothing short of outstanding!

Like many other posting here, I've attempted to cancel my contract via email three (possibly four) times now, with no response. My account is still being debited monthly for $22.00. Tried phoning, I simply don't have time to sit on hold for hours. Besides, if they don't respond when I have sent email as backup, do you think they will admit to talking to me on the phone? Don't go there! Learn from my mistakes
Been Verified spreads nothing but false information over the internet. Anyone who relies on their data is being duped. In my case, I had an annulment 30 years, and that's the only information they provide regarding me. Will they update the information? I've asked - they said no. These people don't care if they ruin lives.

Just signed up for one month@ $22.86 specifically to get a criminal background check, which their site clearly states is a category covered. Nothing showing, which I know is not the case on an individual with a extensive criminal history. But, for an additional fee, of course, they'll send a court runner to fetch more data. This should have been explained up front prior to signing up. I called & got the professional run around, 'maybe it was expunged', nah. So I just paid $23 to basically get an address I already had.
Just like so many others I didn't check for reviews on Beenverified before forking over for a month. No excuse really. My report gave a comprehensive list of all addresses for over 30 years, but the information I really wanted was PREMIUM and required an additional $10.
Classic bait and switch. The social media search comes up with somebody else, certainly not me. Yup, I got conned. I'm going to contest this charge on my credit card. I got next to nothing for my one month charge!

We also offer the ability to purchase a comprehensive report upgrade in any report you run, in order to unlock all additional sections of the report. This will return any results we have in additional categories such as: UCC fillings, watercraft ownership, DEA licenses and more.
The social search lets you search an email address to return any online social profiles registered to that email, depending on the privacy settings of each profile. This should return results like Facebook profiles, LinkedIn, and more.

I did searches on known criminals and nothing came back. Total scam. I really wish I checked the reviews before buying into the subscription. Luckily I paid 1 dollar for a five-day subscription, and so I will call and cancel and then see whether they continue to charge me the full rate or not.
If you look at the replies by some of these BeenVerified reps here, they do not do any kind of deep search. It appears they only receive the kind of information you can receive for free doing the search yourself, which proves how much of a scam they are. Stay away or you'll be sorry. They got my dollar.

We are dependent upon the criminal data that's made digitally available for integration into our reports by the county courts, departments of correction and other state agencies. Some sources make more data available in this format than others (some may include arrests for example while others will only include felony convictions), and there are still some that do not make their data digitally available to us. We do list our coverage area from the Criminal section of the report so that you can look to see if perhaps we don't receive data from the source you're looking for.

I signed up for a 1 dollar trial for a single phone number but didn't end up receiving any information about it and decided to cancel and get a refund. I have to mention it's 11 PM at night and people Manning these phones are probably tired and their shifts are ending soon. The person who picked up the phone was the sweetest person I'd ever had at the end of a customer service line and was very helpful. Told me all the information about the cancellation and how the refund would work, even gave me the cancellation verification number. When I complimented her service she sounded so happy and told her I made my night and I have to say she made mine too. I know the phone number thing is good since I've had friends of mine compliment it but it's just not my thing, so I'm not going to sign up. But the people they hire for customer service are top notch!

First off, I like BeenVerified because, unlike most such sites, when you search with their tools, you get all the information that's publicly available - not a sales pitch to pay $35 for "a full report" when all you want is an address. So, after my first month, I happily went for a one-year subscription. Secondly, when I had to call their customer service to straighten out a payment issue, I got a representative who was a friendly, patient listener and promptly straightened out the (fairly complicated) problem -- the sort of customer service experience you always hope for and never really get. They're the Real Deal!

First off, I did so many searches just to verify that it was good information, which I found out it really isn't. I've had my cell phone number for 17 years and with major carriers like AT&T and Verizon, yet when I searched myself, it didn't list that number. I searched many of my friends and family and found that it didn't have their current phone numbers either, and it's not like they just got a new number. Second, which is the most troubling is, when I searched for an acquaintance of mine who did about 10 years in a federal penitentiary for armed bank robbery and has been out for about 5 years, it didn't list any criminal issues with him. I think that this site can give people a false sense of security if you are using it to do an actual background check on any one. The only thing that it was accurate on was in regards to the property searches, but that can be done easily enough by going to the county assessor's website for free.
