Their system is absolutely horrible and their machine doesn't recognize anything I say. The automated system goes around in circles and doesn't understand "NO" and continues to ignore you on the phone. Then it just hangs up, happened twice. I just want to talk to someone to remove an authorized user. It keeps wants to give me my activity. Why does it even give that without even asking, it just wastes time!
I grew up going to the GAP. As an adult I grew into BR and Old Navy is a solid stand by. But not only has their clothing quality cratered with the business model of seeing their clothes as disposable after a few years. They are not made well enough to last longer. So you buy more! But their customer is a joke. I ordered an item weeks ago and have literally spent hours trying to figure out what happened and where it is. The chat function is useless. Serviced by untrained children probably in horrid conditions in sont far away country. The folks on the phone are no better. Seriously I've spoken to SEVEN different people in FOUR departments. After everything even a simple refund once it was clear this was never going to happen takes 5-8 business for them to complete and another 30 days before I have the money they took from me. Ridiculous. I'm not a kid anymore and don't need kids clothes that I'll have to throw away in a few years. Jcrew, COS, Brooks Brothers. They have earned my loyalty. The GAP brands are done. Bankruptcy would be too good for them.
As a once frequent and loyal BR shopper, I no longer have anything good to say about this brand. For years they have been the go-to for many occaisons and have always come through. However the past several months it feels as though the brand is nose diving into oblivion. Cheap cheap cheap fabrics, questionable designs, unflattering fits, false pricing, I could go on and on! From a design standpoint, creative director Marissa Webb has made an absolute mess of BR! Even though she was recently demoted(to supposedly work on her own brand!) it will be interesting to see if they can pull themselves out of the swamp they are currently in. Meanwhile, wait for their sales, none of their things are worth it for anyone paying full price.
I shop pretty much only when I'm forced to do it. However, my shopping experience today at Silver Sands Banana Republic store was the absolute best! The two men that helped me were simply delightful and the most personable, helpful, and fun assistants that I have ever encountered. I generally always like people anyway, so when I say these were exceptional, I really mean "exceptional"... so, kudos to BR for your Destin staff. Good job!
I placed an order for a dress on 07/15.6 days later on 07/21 I received an email that the item was out of stock. What? The order should not have been completed and money taken from my account if the item was not stocked! I will not order from this company again. Or affiliates, which is a shame because I order most of my kids' clothing from the Gap. I'm usually an easy-going person but waiting almost a week for an item I think will be showing up at my doorstep any day to then be emailed that they don't even have any of said item? Ridiculous. Sure my money will be refunded, and they were kind enough to give me a whooping 10% off my next order. But I won't be getting what I ordered and now have to look elsewhere and hope I can find something that will make it to me on time.
Beware of misleading advertising! The company sent me a $15 off coupon for my birthday month that clearly says on it the coupon can be combined with up to one other offer. When I tried to order the customer service rep told me the coupon code says it can not be combined. Although I'm looking at the paper in my hand which clearly says that it can! Short story is I wasn't able to get the discount on the item. Plus I wasted 20 minutes on the phone with them trying to sort it out. What a waste. Their stuff isn't worth buying full price, so I guess this is the only way to lure you into shopping and hope you'll still purchase when they pull the wool over your eyes. And I've been a BR cardholder for 20 years.
I bought a jumpsuit on line size small and it came in huge,I called them but they refused to exchange or return. This is. Big rip off. A big company like them can afford to make an exception to please their customers
My order number ID8HL38
One of my favorite and go-to shops for casual clothes. I can put together great combinations and looks for every day wear. It's casual, comfy and professional all in one. They often have bargain sales and a decent rewards program. I can always leave with something good when I visit.
This brand used to represent luxury, beauty and function in design, and aspirational fashion but sadly it has deteriorated over time specially after Marka Hansen stepped down. Its designs lack inspiration, freshness and edginess and the brand lacks direction and clarity in vision. I don't understand their aesthetics. Their sizing is off, too. Gone are the modern and beautiful designs, replaced by boring and tacky ones.
I recently purchased an item online, which didn't fit properly and now I would like to return it and its final sale, so I'm stuck with the item. The Company will not make any exceptions, online purchases should never be final sale, that should be illegal. How is Banana Republic not backing their product? They not only doubled the prices of their clothes during the pandemic, they have also basically terminated all costumer service. I'm so disappointed in this company, what a shame.
There is always someone who greets you with a smile. More than one person comes up to you and makes sure that you are looked after. Layout is great, and well displayed, highly recommend the Rockland Shopping center location
I purchased a trench coat from here a few weeks ago and must say that it is one of the most comfortable and trendy trench coats I have owned in a while. The quilted lining is great as it is removable - many others I have owned have not have removable linings therefore can become quite warm especially in warm spring months.
The only downside is the price tag, if you are willing to part with the cash the this is a great buy.
Overall a 4/5
I used to come to this store many times each year and spent about $1500 annually. Recently they have brought in a new store manager who is THE WORST.
I have watched her berate an employee in front of other customers. She is rude and obnoxious to deal with. I believe her name is Shawna. I was so disgusted in seeing this person act the way she did that I will not be back again until they dump her out the door where she belongs. I cant imagine what it must be like there now to have to work for someone like that. I pity those people. I had come to know a few of them and they are not a happy bunch. I'm not the only one who will take my business elsewhere. IF you read this and believe people (customers or staff) should be treated with some basic respect and kindness, take your business elsewhere and fire this place from your shopping itinerary until they fire the manager!
I'm 6'5" and look for nice T-shirts that are tall and extra large. BR t-shirts seemed to fit the bill. However, their Luxe Touch Performance t-shirts shrank after one wash and the collars are wrinkled. I do not recommend buying these shirts. I do like their Premium Wash shirts as they seem to hold up fine after washing.
I purchased 2 pairs of pants, not knowing which size would fit best. I was going on a 2 week trip to Italy. I ordered the pants on April 1st and received them on the 8th. One week later I was flying to Italy. After my return I called the customer service line on May 4th and was told it was to late to return my pants. These are pants that are new and have never been worn. Not even 30 days old. They would not accept my return. The poorest customer service ever. This will be the last time I buy from Banana Republic. Very dissatisfied!
I just want to give a review on the packing of my shipment. I received my package. The outside package was not wet. Inside that package are 2 jeans both packed in separate plastic bags neither are wet on the outside. I removed the first pair perfectly fine. I open the second plastic bag and inside the pair of jeans are very wet. Wtf. These jeans should never have been sent. This is an awful look for your brand. I totally get packages getting wet or damaged in transit but this left your warehouse like that. That is mold. Very unhappy customer. Will be returning both pairs.
I contacted the online customer service to return a couple items. My invoice says I have 45 days to return. Customer service said they cannot accept them due to the change in their policy to 30 days. EVEN though MY receipt says 45 days. I am very upset
Ordered a suit online, they shipped all but the jacket. Turns out that they didn't have the suit jacket in stock, so they had just cancelled it without telling me. Now they refuse to give a refund for the vest and pants, even though without the matching jacket they are useless. In summary, they stole $1000 from me.
I used my Banana Republic card exclusively for the last three months in order to save up points to buy a new winter wardrobe. The clothes are ill fitting and actually quite ugly. The herringbone seafarer pants are massive! According to their description, the model was 5 foot 10. I am 5 foot 10 and thin. The pants definitely don't hang on me like they hung on her. I looked like a clown. They brushed marl pants are nothing more than pajamas and I couldn't possibly be seen in those in public. I didn't notice that the turtleneck description said there was a seam down the back. Who does that? I could find a better style and fit at JCPenney. The only thing worth keeping is The alpaca sweater. It's cuddly soft although a bit scratchy at the same time.
Banana Republic Credit card was likely the best reward points credit card every paired with a very reputable brand with decent quality clothing. I've been a customer for 25 years and a card holder for 14 years. The credit card point system has been changed and no longer benefits cardholders - it is now on par every other credit card reward program. You can't qualify the point system because they are now trying to comparing apples to doritos and their online checkout platform is as transparent as mud.
Answer: Sometimes. Most of the time they true to their size
