INSANELY HORRIBLE: HOW IS THIS COMPANY IN BUSINESS
November 29, 2022

I got sucked into buying from Anthropologie Home by the gorgeous photos of items on their website. THE JOY ENDS THERE! They cannot get orders straight! There is no reliable inventory logistics, NO quality control, the most confounded customer service. How is this "company" still in business?!

Ninety-Percent of the merchandise (Menagerie chairs $988/each) were literally broken into pieces! The fabric did not match and they sent one chair that was the completely wrong color! Third- party-delivery personnel attempted to deliver chairs broken in pieces, four chairs turned into one and then went into a loop of backorders; for a year!

A year later, we were set to complete our four chair set and ALL arrived with gross defects! Items were returned and a refund was finally finalized, an almost year long process! Now, November 2022, I am constantly getting calls to pick up items that were resolved six-months ago! This is a complete nightmare!

They have some lovely clothing, but be careful. The online pics are not always accurate. The colors can be stronger or even different, like in one blouse I order, the tassels are shown as red, but they are pink when the blouse arrives. Read the reviews before you buy anything online. The shipping is expensive and the return is not free either (even because of inaccurate pics). It normally takes 5 business days to get the item. Much slower than nordstrom, neiman marcus or zappos.

Beware when you order on line! My daughter ordered shoes (that are available online only) and was told the package would take 2 weeks to arrive. When the package arrived, despite the order form indicating the size she ordered, the actual shoes and the box were 1/2 size too small. Customer service indicated to me that in order to ensure that the same issue doesn't happen again, they would have to tack on an additional 3 business days to the process to make sure that the shoes inside the package are the correct size before it gets mailed back out to her again. If I waived that option, it is likely that the same problem could happen again. Seriously? Do they not have any quality control as part of their standard protocol? There was NO apology for the mistake. I can't believe a large company such as this does not have better quality measures in place to begin with. Too bad these shoes are super cute, otherwise we would have returned them and been done with it.

Terrible service
October 1, 2021

My package was sent to an old address. I contact Anthropologie as soon as I realized it. Customer service told me I would receive a refund if the incorrect recipient didn't send it back to Anthropologie. They also said I would receive communication within 48 hours. None of these things happened. When I contacted customer service again, they told me to file a police report instead of issuing store credit or a refund—way to lose a customer.

I ordered these two handmade chandeliers - made of bronze chain, woven shade with intricate handwoven trim - it must have taken weeks to make them - and they are absolute stunning. I ordered first, and then read all the terrible reviews, which nearly panicked me into cancelling. I call the American helpline from the UK, was answered within minutes, reassured by a lovely helpful woman called Alison, and three days later my chandeliers arrived. They're so gorgeous. Where have all these bad reviews come from? I feel they must be fake because I had no trouble whatsoever getting through, and the products arrived promptly in great condition and are the usual beautiful, unique Anthropologie quality. Five Stars x

Anthropologie is definitely a girl's store. It's filled with patterns and chiffons and all things pretty. I'm more of an Urban Outfitters girl (both are owned by the same folks) but I'm obsessed with good sturdy pants, and Anthropologie's got the goods! Shopping at anthropologie.com is nice because you don't have to deal with suburban socialites knocking you over to get to the tube tops. The only thing to be careful about is, just as with Urban, sizes run differently according to each brand. So it's a good idea to know what size you are in this or that brand before getting it online. Both stores have a great new reviews feature, however. So be sure to read the other customers' reviews to find out if the sizes run big or small, if something feels cheaper than you think, etc.

I love most of the merchandise at Anthropologie even though it is pricey. It's best to shop in the store so you can evaluate quality. Quality of items vary. Sizing is inconsistent, and shipping charges are outrageous. $12.95 for a few items in my opinion is high. Also they are shipped separately. If you return, you need to return each item with the shipping label for each item so that tracking shows delivered back to vendor. That's $5.95 deduction from your refund for each return even though you only had ONE order. You can not put your entire order in one package because you have no proof you returned all items. You need the label for each item. I'll stick to shopping in the store only.

I still like the store but... make sure you like their shoes because if you ship them back it will take 3 weeks for them to receive them and an additional week for them to processyour return... I find this unacceptable... Their clothes are not the quality they used to be :}

I love their branding and i love shopping in their stores. I think the shopping experience on their website could still be improved. I recently bought a bib necklace from them. Although it is kind of expensive, but totally worth it. I love their beddings collection as well.

They have great clothes but the customer service isn't wonderful and the prices are outrageous. The sales are very good though, that's mainly what I buy

I ordered earrings online as a gift at Christmas. They came in broken and when I attempted to return them in the store was told not to, and I would have to use an envelope being sent to me... Envelope never appeared, I tried calling in 2 times to follow up but after being on hold for over 30-1 hour gave up both times. Recently placed an online order for a dress and it came back canceled. I thought I hit the button wrong so I re-ordered it. Went to follow up to see when it would arrive and saw it too was canceled. After 2 phone calls, (both waiting for over 20 minutes to talk to someone) found out that because I had never returned the earrings my account had a hold on it. One that I had never been communicated about despite my best attempts at making it right. Also found out that because it was after 4 pm there was no way to receive my dress in time for the event I was planning on it for. I live in a rural mountain area and have no way other than online ordering to get nicer things. The way that Anthropologie set up their online ordering operationally, sets them and their customers up for failure.

I ordered a large mirror (Aperture) that arrived broken and when I reached out to customer service via email I never got a response so I called them and spoke to Misty. I told her that before I even could take the mirror out of the shrinkwrap I could tell it was broken by the rattling of pieces inside. When I explained the situation that I received a large broken mirror, she never apologized and then suggested that I open up the box completely and take a picture to send to them as proof and told me to dispose of the mirror myself since UPS would not pick up a broken mirror. Now, explain to me how I'm suppose to open up a box of sharp mirror pieces in my home and somehow put it all back in the same box and dispose this myself when UPS wouldn't dare handle it. I should also mention that this box is about 50 lbs and is 48x48 inches which took two people to carry into my home. We agreed I would send a video of me shaking the box demonstrating the broken pieces but disposable of this mirror is still my responsibility. Unbelievable. I love their clothes and their furniture designs have upleveled quite a bit but their customer service is pretty awful. Would not consider buying from them again.

Do not bother trying to get in touch with customer service if you have a problem with your order. They will not get back to you. Their "24/7 customer service" phone line is a joke, I called a few times, on hold over 30 mins each time. Emailed 4 times, tried the chat option as well, no one available and they ask you to leave a message. They say you will hear back within 24-48 hours, NOPE! Joke... so disappointed and will never order from this store online again!

Ordered a gift for daughter on December 27. It's now February 11 and not delivered. Have been told for weeks it's been shipped. Reached out today and they issued a refund with no explanation. Terrible service! They take your money and hang onto it for months, make promises and don't deliver. I will never order from them again.

I love anthropologie and love their website. It's really helpful that they post reviews from other customers about the items. That definitely helps me to make a decision if I am unsure of whether or not the piece of clothing will fit properly.

Horrrible Customer Service
October 20, 2021

Ridiculous customer service. Still not received order placed 3 weeks ago. They do not even allow you to cancel the order. No one gets in touch with you to update. After wasting time chasing them, you still do not get any results. Frustrating. Feel they are in the business of taking your money.

Ordered an item and within the hour tried to cancel. Customer service claimed it had been shipped and could not cancel. Find that hard to believe as other items I have ordered took over two weeks to receive. DO NOT order from this company

Love, love love! Their site is great, and not only has lots of wonderful clothing and accessories to choose from, but after I ordered my two items (dress and heels) they arrived two days later! I will definitely be buying from them in the future!

Anthropologie charged me 4x for an order on backlog that was eventually cancelled (only because I spotted it before Anthropologie charged me anymore!). 2 months later I STILL haven't received a refund. I've contacted the support team 5 times about this issue, each time with new promises made but nothing followed through. Horrific customer service. Give me back my money. Clearly no understanding of the damage caused to customers with issues like this. I hope someone senior sees this. I am furious.

I have ordered many things from Anthropologie (mostly on sale), and they always arrive within 2-3 days of ordering and are neatly packaged (although I sometimes wish they would not squeeze nice dresses into such tiny bags... but the tissue paper and thick envelopes are always a nice touch, and they've never come damaged or wrinkled, so it's really okay)! Occasionally, I've placed an order the day before a big sale and have contacted a customer service rep afterwards, who honors the sale for me and returns credit to my credit card so that I get the sale price, too! Very pleased with Anthropologie; it is my go-to shopping destination (and if you wait for sales, you can get some amazing deals)!
