Hello,
I wanted to give feedback on my experience with Adorama. I purchased a speed editor plus activation for Studio. The shipment didn't come with the activation so I reached out via messenger. The support staff there claimed it didn't include the activation in spite of the webpage clearly stating it did. This was after stating two conversations with his/her supervisor. I asked for a return/refund at Adorama's expense but the support staff said they could not do that. I then called and got feedback that they made an error and will try to fix it "call us back in a week". A week later they informed me the activation code was on backorder, call back in a week. A week later the activation code was still on backorder. I noted their website still showed Speed Editor and Activation code combo's, but in order to try and get started on Studio I asked they send a dongle to resolve my issue. They agreed to pass it up the chain and asked me to call back in a week. A week later, they again said it hasn't been resolved and call back in a week. I called back later that week (being near 28 days), issue still not resolved. I instead asked for a return and refund (my second request) which they agreed to, and I am hopeful to receive that refund.
I ordered an item on Adorama. When I ordered the item their website said it was in-stock. A few days after my order was placed I received an email stating the item was on backorder. I did not mind and decided to wait a few weeks. After a few weeks went by I called Adorama and they informed me that the item was discontinued all together and that I would not be receiving the item I purchased. Obviously, this frustrated me as I had been waiting due to the item being in-stock and then being on backorder. They never communicated with me to tell me that the item was discontinued other than when I called. The customer service representative transferred me to a manager and the manager said that they would make the situation right. The manager told me they would call me back the following day but, unfortunately, did not call me back. I followed up with a second phone call and was told (a second time) I would receive a call back, but I never did. Due to poor communication and poor customer service, I would never recommend Adorama.
I have just played around with the camera a small amount but works great. I pleased with the way it works and feels. Adorama did a great job in the pricing and delivery of this camera.
Great product! Great packaging and received earlier than expected. The results after the first use were great and exactly what I expected out of these products!
I bought the new EOS 90 D. I was delivered next day for free and it was perfect. It was packed correctly and it came at the time I was informed and I consider that it was a great service.
This Canon is amazing and is prepared to all kind off shots... All kind of weather... All kind of time, day or night... This is a brutal photos machine
Adorama misrepresented the financing terms of their credit card. I used their credit card to place an order over five figures. The website calculated the minimum monthly payment by dividing the total order by the term of 48 months. Their bank, however, determines your minimum monthly payment by calculating 3.5% of your total balance. In my case, this was significantly MORE than their website promised. I discovered this AFTER my order was completed when I called the bank. Adorama's response to misrepresenting terms to a customer and putting me in a position where my monthly payments were 50% more than the payment they promised was to offer me a $150 gift card. All of this after they butchered my order, forced me to buy gift certificates to place the order because their website couldn't process it properly, didn't deliver it when they said they would, and put a $4700 authorization hold on my credit card for 7 days when they were only supposed to charge me $113. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because I do not believe they operate business in good faith I gave them every opportunity to resolve my situation and their solution was a gift card. I will never buy from this company again.
Bought the used Zeiss 100mm f/2, it is fantastic! Tack sharp! I was able to get a superior quality lens that I would never have been able to afford new. I couldn't be happier!
It also seemed to me that there was no significant reason for distrust or negative feedback.
Everything is organized and accurate.
The prices are acceptable.
A nice camera store that produces some great youtube demonstrations on how to use the gear. They sell lights, lenses, and all kinds of creative tools. I like them.
Well packaged, reliable products, and fast shipping (aside from the USPS delay, which is understandable at this time). Very satisfied, great customer support.
I placed the order on May 24 (6 Items) and the Items were delivered by May 27, that's fast but the packing was not that great and as it was ripped. After completing my set-up, 2 items (Center Speaker n Sub-woofer) were not functioning properly. When I called Adorama customer support "Dixie" said, we need to work with Jamo Customer Support and get the issue fixed OR If we are not happy with product resolution we can even return the entire set of products before 30 days. Due to Covid-19 not able to reach Jamo CS yet, however will call them, understand the issue and will take a decision on my return process. I wish the return process would be simple like UPS Pick-up or Return Labels sent to customer to have hassle free returns.
I purchased a printer that was advertised with a $250 mail in rebate.
Turns out Adorama was falsely advertising the rebate, and in fact, the printer was not eligible for rebate until 2 weeks after my purchase date. I only purchased it because of the great rebate.
Adorama support was rude and disrespectful to me. They straight up denied that their website was advertising the rebate. I know for certain that it was, or else I wouldn't have purchased it.
Adorama wouldn't honor my request because it took Canon 3 months to process my rebate... and Adorama will only help out with things up to 30 days after purchase date.
My reply:
Hi,
After going around and around with customer service, the manager at Adorama, Joyce, denied that there was a rebate for the time I purchased this product. She said she had her team check on it, and there was no rebate.
That was super confusing because the reason I purchased this, was because of the rebate advertised. That's why I say it was false advertising! I felt dropped.
I downloaded the rebate form from the Adorama's website, but ended up with something that was apparently not right. A rebate form that was for a different set of dates?
I feel totally screwed over on this due to the lack of clarity on your website's part.
I feel that it's Adorama's responsibility to make it REALLY clear for customers which rebate form to download... if the dates are constantly changing on the forms.
I ordered the Benro TMA47AXL Mach3 AL Series 4 Extra Long Tripod & the Benro B3 Triple Action Quick Release Ballhead & am very happy with both. Tall, heavy duty, solid, well thought out simple design. An additional short center column is included, so you can also adjust the legs on the tripod to lay almost flat on the ground for ground level shots Tripod comes with a nice case with attachable shoulder strap included & and an additional liner case. Read the spec.'s before purchasing this, but for me it's just what was looking for. Also, shipping & delivery by Adorama was Very quick!
I have been wanting this brand of speakers for awhile. When I saw them at a great price at Adorama I didn't hesitate to grab them. The Klipsch F-300s sounds great in our home. Thanks Adorama
I recently ordered a DJI Phantom 3 Pro and received it from Adorama. Noticed that the box I received with the unit was not sealed and the tab to open the box had signs of being opened. Didn't have issue with that as long as the unit performed as expected/advertised. Didn't dawn on me at first but I was pretty sure that I read somewhere that this unit came with two complete sets of propellers. I only received one. Contacted support and was informed that this unit only came with one set. (Wrong both with their ad and that from the DJI web site) No resolution. Now again I find my self trying to resolve this very petty (10$ on a 1200$ purchase) issue but again, I find myself talking to a different rep. From Adorama for over 40 minutes. Still wasn't resolved. Oh and when I first inquired about the missing set of props for it in a package deal, was told they were on back order and would be shipped later? Hummmm? Wonder if that may be why the extra set in my DJI package were missing in the first place? So... Now I receive two, not 4 props that are listed in the package deal as a set? Told that two were all that was included in the extra package? But it is listed as a set. It takes 4 tires to make a set... on this drone, it takes 4 props to make a set. I contacted DJI direct for verification and was told by them that indeed, there are 8 props sent with the product and that a set does to them mean 4 props. Adorama just lost a customer with their petty and uninformed ability to resolve a very simple issue.
I was deeply concerned to see this, Darrell, and would welcome the opportunity to help. However, I'm unable to ID your order from the info above.
Can you please email me: Helen@adorama.com, with your order number, and it will have my immediate attention.
Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused, and I very much look forward to hearing from you.

I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews of Adorama -
I admit our 'first stop' for photo goods that we can't get locally is B&H but Adorama is our #2 supplier and we've done a fair amount of purchasing from them over the years.
We also accidentally found them on eBay and have done very well purchasing used or trade-in merchandise using a 'Best Offer'. We operate a commercial video studio and sort of 'bottom feed' on bargain equipment pretty regularly. We recently purchased used studio lighting (Colortran) and a used video switcher (Tricaster) from Adorama and it was smooth as silk.
All of our dealings with Adorama have been very pleasant - and we've never had to return anything so have no experience with that aspect of the business. But what experience we have had ordering photo goods from them has been accurate, fast shipping, well packaged and fully satisfactory.
As I said, I'm surprised at the number of poor reviews - although many of those reviews are from one-time reviewers and maybe are a bit biased. Human nature I guess.
The worst experience ever. Horrible customer service. Item was damaged. Paid for express delivery and received late. There are better places to order from. LEARN FROM MY EXPERIANCE.
Adorama is a half billion dollar company for a reason.
I ordered 2 cloth back drops for photography use once, received them, but had no immediate use for them so I put them on a shelf and forgot about them. Flash forward a year or so when I need cloth back drops and was slightly confused that BOTH of the back drops I had were green(!). I thought that was odd, but I didn't remember exactly what I had ordered. After some thought, and checking my order confirmation, I realized I never ordered green cloth back drops at all.
So I made a long shot plea to them to take them back & give me a credit, or exchange them, and they refused. They wouldn't even buy them back as used (one was used once) backdrops. Nothing.
As for sales of used gear, you will get no deals from them. They ride the line of market value like champs. I've purchased many used items from them through ebay and they're never a single dollar below the prevailing market value.
As for sale of used gear to them, you will not receive a fair deal. Unless you're desperate, avoid selling them your used gear because what they do is make you a decent (not great) offer based on your initial description of the gear, then you ship your gear to them, then they "evaluate" that gear and make you a real offer that will be 70% of the initial offer.

Answer: Please can you email me with your order number so I can help? Helen@adorama.com
Answer: Never deal with them, slow and shady. Price may be changed instantly
Answer: You can`t be even sure that it is in stock. They attract traffic with low prices. I was recently put on hold for a sweet deal on cinema camera (that is why I am here) and finally they cancelled my order. Price was too good to be true.
Answer: Dear Laurie I have not received any emails at all from you - I have checked my spam and my trash. Please send ONLY your order number to me: Helen@adorama.com. Do not attach or include pictures. Helen Oster Adorama Camera Helen@adorama.com

Invoiced & Shipped on 11/06/14
There was no false advertising. There was a Canon rebate at the time of your purchase which we posted on our website.
Rebate Promotion ID: 8191320 Purchases must be made between October 26,2014 and November 22,2014. Must be postmarked no later than December 22,2014
You did not send in for the rebate
You first called us on February 17,2015 for a copy of your invoice so you could mail in the rebate form that was valid at that time.
You mailed in the Rebate form with Rebate Promotion ID: 8191324 for purchases between November 23,2014 and January 31,2015.
This one had to be postmarked no later than 3/2/15.
The problem is you mailed in this later rebate form but you reported to Canon that you purchased it on November 6,2014.
Canon declined it - Program Violation
This was not Adorama’s error but rather your own.
