The designers are great, without a doubt.

But 99 Designs operates in a way that is a little bit shady, or at best is opaque. They start off telling you that you can expect 60+ designs when you actually get 2~3. They tell you Satisfaction Guaranteed but then to iterate designs you are forced to accept them and waive your refund rights. They operate with tight and strict timelines that they don't disclose in advance. At the very end they pop on you a contract you must sign and this contract wasn't disclosed at the start. It's all a bit shady.

We settled for a 3 star review design because the support was unable to help us. Also, there was a particular support person, Hannah, she was rude. Instead of listening and helping she persisted to argue and lecture us. Not very sympathetic to our concerns. We will not be using 99designs again and will let our other cofounder friends know that they should just use Fiverr or upwork. At least you will get better customer support if you deal directly with the designer. Their contest blocks you from speaking to designers. You have to explain everything via their comment box. Not the best process when looking to create a brand together.

I bought an address from GoDaddy and within a day these people are texting my personal cell phone UNSOLICITED! I will follow up with GoDaddy as well but I went to their website to live chat with a service rep and she ended the chat abruptly with me... abusive tactics used by this company tell me that they can't get business on the merits of their actual product... do not use this company!

Someone serious about starting a business will do research and look to a professional designer that they feel is worthy of the task of creating the face of their baby.

Brands aren't just about logos. If you don't know this, you're not ready to start a business. Brands are about how a company makes the customer feel, their experience and feelings towards the brand, knowing they cut corners and contributed to screwing over the design industry will definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth...

I picked a bronze branding package (with the £75 extras pack), and was over the moon to receive over 360 designs! Our whole team had fun voting on which they liked best. The designers couldn't do enough for you, and were happy to do anything from a tweak to a complete makeover based on our requests. All in all, a fun process that has enabled our company to come away with an exceptional new brand and logo design.

I wasnt sure how this would go. I am a face to face hand shake business owner. This was not my norm, however I am so happy I went with 99 Designs. The process was simple and we had fun picking the designs and communicating with the designers. Im already working on another project with some designers and additional work with my prize winner with the 1:1 feature. Keep up the good work 99 designs team. Throw a bunch of hungry people with a computer into a spec work situation where they're "creating" something for free in the hopes of being picked, and you get sub-par and often illegal ripoffs being touted as branding.

These aren't designers, and the owners don't care about design. This is money-grabbing at its worst.

Very easy process

Never received the right file from this website, designer(s) simply lack the skills and worse than all they really don't understand your English; I guess they use Google Translate! Would never recommend this website. Terrible customer services, never ever after paying for couple of projects I could actually complain about their services and the designer(s) as there seems to be no one really caring about quality there. Believe me with the money you want to pay here you would find a better designer locally if you look a little bit more than what Google Ad would recommend!

Excellent designers

I was looking for a reasonable & an economical designer for my book and I found many, but the individual designers or companies were real poor in Customer service. Worst 99Designs Support
February 10, 2018

Though 99Designs is a Great Idea of having Design Contests where Clients gets a variety of Designs to choose from. But if at any point you need to contact customer support. Don't Contact, there's no one.

Like you get suspended for low quality designs or for some other issue, they'll suspend you asking a Portfolio of 4-5 designs for 99Designs live contests. Don't design the portfolio, NO ONE IS THERE TO CHECK IT!

You will Never get a Reply from 99Designs or You may get an AUTOMATED reply declaring that you will remain suspended.

They Don't have dedicated Customer Support members! I haven't seen anything worst than 99designs customer support!
