PetMeds is AMAZING! I ordered a prescription at 9:45 in the morning, and mind you, they had to confirm the order with Buck's vet, and I received a shipping confirmation before 11:30 AM. The PetMeds folks should teach other businesses how to do this online/shipping/processing thing. I am impressed every single time. AND they send a treat to both my pooch and my cat even though the order is almost always for the dog. Luna totally appreciates THAT! :)
My dogs flea meds were about to expire on 8/6. So on 8/1 I ordered more medication from Petmeds. Well, Petmeds dragged their feet and didn't contact the vet until after the rx had expired. Now, because of their laziness and inattentiveness, I have to pay for a complete office visit and panel just to have a new rx issued. Great Job PetMeds!
This site is very easy to use and ships quickly. They will contact your vet for you to confirm information, which is helpful. I've had to order heartworm meds from them when my local vet sold out and was glad to be able to do so.

I placed an order on Monday. They didn't contact the vet until Friday or Saturday. On Saturday I got a notice that they had changed the dose of the medication to the wrong one and already shipped it. They never contacted me to let me know the vet changed it to the wrong size. So the wrong medication is making its way to me via first class mail and I have to wait for it to arrive, mail it back and wait for a refund.
I've been dealing with 1800petmeds for years! I love their pricing and their shipping is quick. I always receive treats in the box for my dogs. If I have ever had an issue and sent them an email, they have always responded immediately. No one can beat the pricing and they are awesome!
When i placed my order i did not hear from them about items being out of stock or back ordered. I contacted customer service several times over the course of a month and they told me they'd let me know when my order shipped. In the end they were demanding the nature of my large order saying they needed to know this in order to be able to serve me better, then they proceeded to tell me that now and forever i can only order a few at a time due to supply chain issues, even though i'd placed many large orders from them in the past on a regular basis. I would think they would be happy that someone wants to give them business and be a faithful returning customer placing large orders time after time. Is it not MY business what i use them for? Originally this company was very quick to fulfill my orders, and i was hoping to enjoy my shopping experience with their great prices and fast fulfillment for years to come, but alas this makes me so sad to have to leave such a poor review.

I ordered a 60day refill of medication for my dog with them for the first time because Chewy was out of stock. The process was smooth and quick and the prices were cheaper, I was excited to make the change. Unfortunately my dog passed away shortly after I received my first order and I called not knowing what to do with the remaining meds. They refunded me in full and gave me instructions of medication disposal places. Highly recommend, wonderful customer service during a hard time.

I am very pleased with 1800petmeds. My wonderful Dog was on a couple of different meds and they always came quickly and with a fun big treat for my dog. From her first package with a treat, anything that came in a box became hers, as she thought that all boxes had treats. After opening her med box, she would carry the box around for a while, thinking it would produce another treat. I loved the added touch of the treat in the med box. I started using this company when my dog was about 13.10 yrs and used them for a year. She has recently passed at home and we couldn't be more pleased with customer service and our last order we placed a week before she died and it was shipped and she ate the treat that came in the box. This company cares about it customers and I would highly recommend this company to friends and family. Their prices were much better than the vet prices.

I've been using this site for at least a couple of years. Their service has been entirely reliable and they deliver (in both senses of the word) exactly what they describe. Meds always arrive on time, securely boxed regardless of how small the container might be, and they send the dog a free bone-shaped biscuit with every order as a neat final touch.
If you aren't familiar with the site, the name might put you off as it did me, initially; 1-800-anything sounds too much like one of those tacky not-available-in-stores offers. But this is the real deal and gets a rare top rating from me.
Incidentally I just noticed this is my 300th review, so I'm pleased to be able to mark that small milestone with something entirely positive, just for a change!
They take forever to put the order through, forever to contact the vet, forever after the vet clears you to make the purchase, forever after that to notify you of order. Goodness, I cannot even imagine what the shipping process is going to be like. They do not accept rebates the final straw was how rude and snappy the customer service lady was for NO reason at all. Very unsatisfied. I will not use them again.

In this case, we sent our first request to your vet on the day you placed your order (4/24) and again the next day, 4/25. We received the authorization from your vet on 4/26 at 7:40 pm ET. Since shipping was closed by then, your order was shipped the next morning.

Unfortunately I had a rocky start with receiving my order due to some kind of computer glitch. The first two customer service reps were very nice but I never received my order. Then the third time was the charm! I got TAMARA! She fixed the glitch, told me she would make sure my order was sent out and made a follow up call to make sure I received my package! I'm a long time customer but no longer. Placed an order today for refills for my pet's routine meds. Next thing I know, I'm enrolled & being contacted by a 3rd party entity called Vetster because of Petmeds sharing my information.
I got notified yesterday that a script had been auto filled. I called 1800 pet meds and notified them that my pet had unfortunately disappeared. They told me the order had been canceled. A little over 24 hrs later I receive an email saying that my order had shipped.? I called them back and was told there was nothing that could be done. I would need to return the order for my credit card to be credited. For an order that I had canceled? I live in a rural area. I now need to go out of my way to send back an order I had canceled less than an hour after I was notified that it had been filled. Have they noticed the price of fuel? NEVER AGAIN!

Not only did I receive a call today that my payment had expired and they would help reset my account. Then I get a call from the pharmacist that they had reached out and refaxed my veterinarian for approval that we have been waiting for. Great coordination guys, really better than some of the people doctors out here. Appreciate y'all.
I called Petmeds to order a prescription on Monday morning. I told the woman my dog had enough pills for 3 days and was told I would receive the meds within 1 day of shipment since I lived close to their warehouse. I was also told I would receive an email when they shipped. I never did. I called them back on Thurs to see what happened to my order since I don't have any meds left. Was told they are going out that day via next day delivery. I didn't receive them so I called again on Friday and was told they are in the process of shipping but wouldn't receive them until Monday. This woman said she would make a special order to ship out overnight for Saturday delivery. It is Sat evening and no meds. I called Petmeds again & was told there was no special order. My order was still showing Monday delivery. Meanwhile, my dog is out of her steroid pills. The discount cost is not worth the it. I will only buy through my vet from here on ifor her meds. This is the worst!

I placed an order on 5/31 for a med that required vet approval. Petmeds sent the request and my vet faxed approval same day (5/31). On 6/5 my order status wa still 'Pending Vet Approval'. I used the online chat at Petmeds.com and after waiting 15 minutes in the queue and got a response that they'd not received approval. The agent responded with a pharmacy phone number and ended the chat abruptly. I called my vet and they faxed it again. Then I called Petmeds and after waiting 21 minutes the agent again said they'd not received approval even though my vet now faxed it for a third time. I cancelled the order. 30 minutes after I cancelled the order Petmeds charged me for the order! Can't even believe this…….
I did a google search for Galliprant pet meds and on the right side of my screen, it advertises a 60mg, 90 count bottle for $77.99 from 1-800-petmeds. It also says "price drop, was $179". I click on it to order and the price almost tripled to over $200! I call the number and they say, we don't see what you are looking at, the price is $204 and is on sale for $198. What a rip off. They should honor their prices advertised. Won't be shopping here.
Chris, I'm very sorry for any confusion. I see the ad to which you are referring. However, the ad says $77.99 for a 30 count bottle of the 60 mg tablets. The 90 count bottle is $204.99. Unfortunately, we can't sell a 90 count bottle for the price of the 30 count bottle. You won't be able to find that price for a 90 count bottle from any reputable source because it is less than the actual cost of the product.

I have tried other brands but they had other ingredients that over time made my dogs ill. This product has helped both of my dogs as they age; one is 13 the other 10. I recommend this to all of my friends with older dogs.

I so much appreciated PetMeds this week. My rescue pooch has to have Prozac (I wouldn't even let the shelter tell me her story bc it was too grim). I had waited too long to get my new prescription for her filled, but PetMeds came through for me wonderfully.
I ordered my dog's meds and even ordered the overnight shipping so he would get them in plenty of time. After a week I contacted them to find out where my order was and they said my vet needed to speak with me before authorizing the meds, except they never conveyed this message to me. So my dog is out of his necessary meds and they never offered to try and fix this or contact the vet or try to expedite my order. Do not use this company.
