We ordered 20 LED Bulbs recently, when they arrived we found they were not what were looking for. Literally the same day I got the product I phoned in the return, they apparently "processed it" but never sent me a the Return Form stating it was "approved".
I just called them again this morning, and made the request again, spoke to a Customer Service Rep - who seemed like she woke up on the wrong side of the bed - told me that it was processed but never emailed to me. She also informed me (first time I was hearing this) that I had to pay for the return shipping. I have never ordered something where the company did not pay for shipping of the returned item.
They obviously do whatever they can to not have to deal with the return and make it inconvenient to the customer. There was no indication by the Customer Service Rep when I originally phoned in the order NOR the Customer Service Rep when I wanted to return it, that there was ANY MENTION of Customer having to pay for a return label.
"The customer is responsible for return shipment arrangements and charges and is welcome to select carrier of choice such as FedEx, UPS or USPS for the return shipment. It is suggested to obtain insurance and tracking service for the return shipment."
Now I have to spend JUST AS MUCH for the shipping & insurance as I did on the Bulbs! This business does not stand by their products. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I have had the worst experience with ordering online from 1000bulbs. I saw on their website a specific bulb I needed for a fairly competitive price. I placed an order for 7 of them on February 24th, only to receive an email stating their website was incorrect for having these bulbs in stock and it would take a few weeks for their manufacturer to ship them. No big deal, I understand how these things work. Only to receive another email a few weeks later that the bulbs were again backordered for another month. Again no big deal. Only to receive ANOTHER email a month later that said they were going to be backordered another few weeks. I emailed the online sales rep, that this is an unfortunate rollercoaster I have been on. She assured me she spoke directly to the manufacturer and guaranteed me it would only be another two weeks. Fine. Only two more weeks of this ongoing nightmare. But I just received another email the manufacturer had delayed the product another few days and then shortly after another week. I honestly can't fathom how an online company can function like this. Luckily, I only needed these bulbs for personal reasons (I'm building a screen print studio in my garage, and needed UV bulbs for exposure), I can only imagine being a business with high demands for such products and how infuriating this type of situation could be. Honestly, from my experience, I will not be purchasing from 1000Bulbs again, which is bummer, because I could see myself needing more supplies in the future. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else.
I ordered a number of bulbs but never got them because the USPS lost them. 1,000 bulbs won't take responsibility for shipping but neither will they allow a more reliable shipping option.
I run a gallery and ordered floodlights. After waiting a week I called and asked where they were. "Oh, they are backordered, the rep explained." I Never any notice as such and could have waited a year without knowing they did't carry them in stock. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
I did not like that they did not post my product reviews on their website, which provided information about equivalent part numbers and clarified different light bulb manufacturers' product lines. I spent quite a bit of time writing those. Transactions were OK but not as smooth as I would have liked.
The purchase was made 4/23/15. It was for just about $50. The email I received said they would send an email confirming shipment. I never received an email so I call them today (4/30/15) as they had taken the money out of my bank account on the 23rd. The manager said it wasnt shipped but everything was in stock. I asked why they hadnt completed their end of the transaction and she said she didnt know.
I believe this company may use this as a some sort of fraudulent charging scheme. Only if you call when an order doesnt come in do they make an attempt to send an order. Shady. I would look elsewhere for bulbs.
I ordered some Reflector Shields for my T5 lights that I use for pretty much all my indoor germination. 1000bulbs.com, took my order and sent me an email confirmation. 10 Days after the order was placed, I called inquiring about my order. Besides not having a single person available to speak to me for nearly an hour, I finally got through to Kent the Sales Manager. He informed me that although they took the order, they had a new policy that they did not ship to addresses different than that of the billing address. The reason for this is because the owner simply didn't want to incur any fees from a "charge back" which happens when someone disputes a [fraudulent] charge. This is a standard procedure ensuring purchasers are protected from fraud and is a NORMAL COST OF DOING BUSINESS [especially on the Internet]. Now although my money has been returned, after I called to inquire about the whereabouts of my purchase, I looked on their website and asked 2 simple questions; 1) where on your website does it say this? And 2) why does your website allow for me to make the selection to ship to a different location if you won't actually allow for that type of shipping to happen. The answer I got was "Because our Owner Kim Pederson said so and he's my boss." Well Kim, you have operated in bad faith. You took money and failed to deliver [literally]. You failed to communicate with your customer and canceled an order without a legitimate reason other than to save yourself $15 (If it was a fraudulent purchase-which it wasn't). Your Website which allows for the selection of a different delivery address to a billing address (which is 100% normal for 99% of internet web-stores) operates in BAD FAITH since you can not do what the website sends a receipt for.
It's just bad business. I am going to avoid these guys - Maybe Kim made to much money being named 2010 Entrepreneur of the Year…. 5 Years later He's a hack….
BUYER BEWARE! Find a local store and have them order for you! This company is what's wrong with America! Not even an I am sorry for the inconvenience…. Just "that's how it is sir, like it or not…"
Vote with $…. I don't like it and I won't buy from you again.
There's nothing that says "hunter" better than shotgun shell Christmas lights. I found them at 1000bulbs.com. Easy breezy and definately not cheesy. Arrived in excellent condition and when I say breezy I mean fast. Four days
Offensive, uncooperative and not to trusted. Do do buy from them
Answer: I don't know about everything else but a T9 12" circular light bulbs delivery fee was $18. The light only cost $5. Got it at Walmart for $7.
Answer: I didn't due to an $18 shipping charge on a $5 bulb. Then they pulled my review down which only stated fact. Not a reputable business in my mind.
