I purchased my ZAD 900 12 String on April 9th 2022, Expecting dilivery in July, I was suprised to recieve it May 21st 2022, It was in perfect condition and required very little tuning, This is the best 12 string I have ever owned, better than my Martin and the craftsmanship is excellent. I think that all the negitive hype out there is from disgruntled individuals and not real acoustic guitar enthusiasts. I thank you and wish you the best

I have just received a new Zager ZAD50CE OM from Dennis/Denny Zager and it is beautiful. The fit and finish are perfect and I am very pleased. This is my first graduate to an acoustical from a classical and the action/playability is prenominal. I look forward to many years service from this excellent instrument and to pass it on to my younger generation when I am gone.
A comment about Guarantee and Customer Service: I had previously received the same model from Zager and it had a dent (hit) behind the neck opposite the 3rd Fret. I immediately contacted Dennis and he immediately had another one sent out the same day. No questions asked! Just wanted to make sure I am satisfied and I could not be more pleased. The new one arrived within a few days and I sent the damaged one back with the delivery of the new one.
I would recommend anyone wanting an excellent playing and sounding acoustical guitar to look at the Zager Line. I know you would be greatly pleased with the instrument and the service from Dennis and Denny Zager is unreproachable.

Highly recommended, one of the best guitars I've ever played. Well made, quality guitars, super easy to play!
I just received my Zagar Travel Guitar and as a engineer by education and profession I always do a detailed inspection of new products I purchase with flashlight and magnifying glass. I was extremely impressed with the build quality of my new Zagar guitar. The weight and looks of the all solid wood construction gave it a good feel of sturdiness. It's is a looker too with the abalone, gloss finish and the African mahogany body. I am not partial to the rough matte finish that some companies produce. I have been searching for a wood travel guitar and played all the well-known Baby's and JR's and even bought one of the baby's and swapped pins and put on handmade strings and while I made it better, it still had that tinny sound that made it so unsatisfactory. My new Zagar Travel has a great balanced sound with a full throat of low's. You really would not know that it is a Travel Guitar without looking at it. My Zagar Travel Guitar compares very close to the Baby Collings that i tried here in Nashville. I actually definitely prefer the looks of the Zagar Travel Guitar, as far as sound I actually think the Zagar captures a little more of the low's. So check'em out.
I am a proud owner of a Zager ZAD900. I contacted Dennis Jr about a problem where I was getting a ping here and there, mostly around the B string. Dennis and Jessica recommended adding humidity by placing wet washcloths (wrung out but wet) inside the guitar with the sound hole covered by saran wrap and left in the closed case for 72 hours. I was more than skeptical when the problem didn't resolve right away. I continued to email Dennis and Jessica and was sure the ping was caused by something other than humidity, like a fret adjustment. They continued to tell me to repeat the washcloth process. I did so... two more times, and to my amazement, the problem went away. The guitar plays beautifully... even after lowering the action a bit I get very clean and gorgeous tones all the way up and down the neck on all strings. Two lessons learned for me... listen to what the Zagers tell me and keep my guitars in their cases with the Zager humidifiers and NEVER let them get that dry ever again. Currently, I gig about 6-7 times per week, and although I own a number of beautiful custom guitars, my Zager goes with me to every gig due to the ease of play and the beautiful tones it generates!
Great Guitar easy to play and great sound. Best I have ever played. Like it better than my Taylor I paid 4 times more for.

Excellent Customer service. It was an incredible experience as a customer to feel valued, heard, and important, which is a rare occurrence with sellers these days. Every question was answered in a professional and timely manner by Dennis Zager Jr himself. Multiple financing options for those who need them. What impressed most me was a free upgrade that I was totally unaware of. I opened the box to a wonderful surprise. Also loved all the videos addressing so many guitar related stuff on the website. The guitar comes with a 30 day money back guarantee with no cost to the customer.
Product: The guitar came packaged very well. The case is excellent and lockable. Perfect fit for the guitar. The inbuilt humidity sensor is excellent. The case contained the guitar, certificate of authenticity, hand signed by Mr. Dennis Zager. The guitar itself is beautifully crafted with an excellent sound quality and amazing looks. The light cedar tone wood looks beautiful with the inlay pieces. The dark rosewood back and sides with the stripe down the back is beautiful. The wood grain is tastefully oriented. The Grover tuners are excellent. Dennis Zager's signature on the back is awesome. To top it all off is the lifetime warranty, which is excellent for a wonderfully crafted lifetime instrument like this.
The pick guard does not come installed but is in the case. The Zager website contains detailed video instructions on how to install the pick guard. Also the guitar comes with scratch resistant coating. It came with one carbon fiber pick on the tuner. Be careful when pulling the pick out from the tuning post so as to not pull the strings out (which happened to me).
I must admit, I had reservations about buying a guitar that I could not play or even see before making the purchase. And I will be honest, I even questioned whether the reviews I was seeing or the communication I was receiving from Zager was real. Let me put your mind at ease... IT IS REAL! The best, most timely, and most informative customer service I have ever received! This is "Old School" folks! I received the guitar, with all promised accessories, on schedule. And oh, the guitar... AN ABSOLUTE WORK OF ART! Obvious pride went into the making of this instrument. I have been playing on and off for over 50 years and own a vintage Gretsch Duo Jet electric, vintage Gibson acoustic (G3?), a Yamaha acoustic, and an Alvarez acoustic 12-string. I have played Martin's, Taylor's, Maton's and many others... I don't believe any of them play as well or as easy as this Zager! I am motivated to get back into playing. I purchased the ZAD50CE and am already trying to convince myself I don't need a ZAD90 also! Thank Mr. Zager and Zager Guitars for lighting the fire under this old man for one last run! As we say here in Georgia, "Y'all are the best!"

I researched the Zager company for a long time before buying a guitar. I dug deep for any review I could find and may have even been skeptical about buying online, however, Zager has delivered on all of its promises. I am a beginner guitar player and needed something comfortable to play. I was attracted by the concept of "easy play" guitar and this guitar delivered on all of it's features! The strings are easy on the fingers and they are positioned low enough above the frets to make playing chords easier too. The size of the body (15% smaller than a full size), neck and spacing of the frets fits my petite build very nicely. My former guitar was comparable to the parlor size and I thought the change would take more time to get used to, but holding the guitar the first time felt comfortable and natural. Now, let's talk about sound. This model comes with a built in tuner and was easy to figure out without reading the directions. The first time I strummed this guitar I was pleasantly impressed! It has a full sound and resonates very nicely. After playing my first few songs, my chord changes felt better and matched with the sound of the guitar, made me very happy. (I have not tried the "electric" feature of the guitar because I don't have an amp yet). I also got several freebies from their giveaway contest including an embossed leather strap, picks, strings, capo, portable tuner, and membership to the guitar university. Customer service with Dennis Jr. Is fantastic. Every time I wrote to him from the chat feature of the website I got a return email in less than 24 hour turnaround. My guitar is also autographed by Denny Zager and came in a solid, and I mean SOLID guitar case that has a built in humidifier system and so plush inside! I have already recommended this guitar to all of my friends. Hats off to everyone at the Zager company!
Just received a Zager50CE. What a great sounding guitar. Easy to play and the string placement width works great with my short wide fingers.
Purchased the parlor guitar for my Grandson to learn with. I also own a Martin D28 and the quality of workmanship is similar.
Very satisfied!
Hi Dennis, I am writing to you for a couple reasons. The biggest reason is to let you know just how excited I am that my 15 year old son has essentially claimed my 2013 Zager and is practicing for hours on end. Listen, I know you hear this daily, but I have always considered my Zager guitar to be among my finer works of art in my home. Now, I don't play very well at all due to my severe arthritis following a terrible (and in any ways life changing) motorcycle accident for which I am now officially disabled. But enough about me. To see my son cherish this Zager guitar in the way I do makes my heart swell with pride. My son is just a beginner, but I believe as the folks at Zager, that you always try to get the finest guitar you can buy and not to buy a so called "beginner guitar " because there isn't such a thing. Its always been a dream of mine to sit down with my son and to play the guitar with him. And I've always dreamed of giving my son the very best that I can give him to help him find the joy in music. So, that part of my dream is fulfilled. So, that leaves me without a guitar. And let me tell you, I will only buy my next guitar from Zager, I assure you of that. In fact, I have my eye on one of your 900 series. One day, when I can afford another guitar, you can bet my first call will be to Zager. My personal hope is that I can still find one that Mr. Zager put his hand to building and to get his Signature on the back of the guitar. I'm hoping I can accomplish this sooner than later, because my son is growing up and I dont want to miss my chance at making music with him. Please give my thanks to Mr. Zager for his artful interpretation of the guitar. The sound quality is like magic as the chords come together and make those warm harmonic sounds.
Thank you, Mr. Zager for your contribution to the world of music. Blessings Galore!

It was a pleasure dealing with the Zager family. Plus I got my guitar it's amazing and beautiful. I couldn't ask for better.
5 stars my instructor raves about the quality said best guitar he has played in the sub 2500 price rabge
Thank you so much for all your support Chris.
Bought a beautiful Guitar for my Grandaughter for graduation from College. Just started playing and loves it. Thanks so much
This guitar is simply the most beautiful guitar I've seen in many years! And I'm looking forward to playing it for many years to come.
As soon as my ZAD900CE arrived and I unpacked it, it was obvious to me that this guitar is truly a very high quality musical instrument. The extreme care taken in its design and workmanship are very apparent, even in the smallest details. Upon thorough inspection, I could see that every aspect important in a high-end professional grade acoustic guitar was carefully considered in its production. I've played guitars that cost three times+ more, and none of them have come close this masterpiece. And it is the easiest playing guitar that I've ever played. The Zager family is not kidding about that!
For a VERY recently built guitar with a strong scent of freshly cut woods and woodworkers' glue, I'm very pleased in its lower strings' response, resonance, and sustain. The smaller strings are a bit tinny which should be expected since the woods and glues have not fully settled and cured. I wait to see how beautiful it will sound after the woods have fully seasoned and settled in a month or two. Also, being an acoustic/electric guitar, I was quite surprised at how light and balanced it is. That can make a BIG difference when you're performing for hours at a time.
Dealing with the folks at Zager has been a real pleasure, too. They've quickly responded to any and all of my questions and concerns, long before and after the sale. That's so refreshing after dealing with some other high-end guitar makers who don't seem to care much about their customers, especially after the sale is made. When I ordered my ZAD900CE in mid-February 2022, I was told it would probably not be delivered until sometime in June 2022 due to supply chain issues... It arrived May 4,2022! I was thrilled!
I highly recommend this lovely guitar to anyone looking for the best in an acoustic/electric guitar.
I just bought a gently used ZAD50CE, and boy, am I pleased! As a 50-year-plus player, I've owned and enjoyed a number of nice guitars, including my current line-up: Ovation custom Balladeer, Washburn D10SCE, Breedlove AD25-SM and Taylor 214CE. I've been pleased with all of them – but nothing prepared me for the difference in playing a Zager, not even their own "hype". I've been following them for a while. When I spotted this one at a shop an hour away, I had to go see what the buzz was all about. I wasn't disappointed. After playing a few minutes (and being astounded that there was no hyperbole in their advertising), I pulled a Taylor identical to mine off the wall and played them side-by-side for an hour, both acoustic and plugged in. Nothing against the Taylor – I love mine! But the clarity, power and action of my Zager are remarkable! I injured my left hand recently. It's recovering, but some things have been difficult even on my current stable of instruments. I can do almost everything easily on my Zager. I'm SO glad I made the purchase!
Got my "Zager" today and IHAVE to say that I am OVERWHELMINGLY Pleased with this GORGEOUS Intrument! Just Gorgeous! And Plays like "BUTTER"! Just keys Sooooooooooo easily, it TRULY is an "Easy Playing" Guitar!
OH and the case, with a built in Hygrometer is AWESOME! Im just SO happy Im ready to Jump outa my Skin!
This Guitar can stand up to a "Martin" ANY Day of the week, and I just got the Cheaper one! I cant even IMAGINE what Mr Zagers more expensive models Play & Sound like! I can only Dream!
Hands DOWN, the Nicest Guitar I have EVER played and I am 63 Yrs Old and needed a guitar that keys easily, and I am ECSTATIC (can ya tell, lol) with this Guitar~! I would reccommend a Zager Guitar to ANYONE & EVERYONE! I cant say enough about it!
Thank You Mr Zager!
You have a Customer for LIFE!

I recently bought a ZAD50ce and I love it. I bought the Zager because I have arthritis and as a player of close to 50 years I'm having the time of my life!
I watched acoustic guitar reviews for hours and hours and came across Zager Guitars. I was highly interested in a hand made quality acoustic guitar with a quality Sitka Spruce top and with Indian Rosewood back and sides. Zager produced the quality acoustic I was looking for and they had so many testimonials on line along with a 100% return satisfaction guarantee. I was a little skeptical, but took the chance and when the ZAD900CE arrived, it was an amazing guitar with excellent craftsmanship, playability, and sound! It was well packed and with care. The Custom Hard case is top notch as well.
It easily competes with the Martin D-45's, Gibson J-45, Taylor 914ce, and the Santa Cruzes, but at a superior price point because they sell direct. It provides an excellent mid range. I am an intermediate player moving up and the ZAD900CE is a life time keeper! It plays as well or better as my old custom setup and it sounds amazing and has the volume to play live and be heard. At this price point new, the ZAD900CE is in a class all by itself! The big names new are all around 5K+.
Answer: I am not interested in a 1969 song as much as the wonderful services and the best guitar in my own humble opinion on the market in 2019. They are truly gifted Luthers and honest men of integrity men to work with and that sir is no lie God Bless Mike A
Answer: Through email, I hear back within 24 hours or less every time.
Answer: I'll put my new ZAD900CE up against anything Martin makes or has made in the past.
Answer: They answered my emails within hours.
Answer: I have purchased (2) guitars from them and they are both excellent guitars. Customer service is next to none. Ignore the haters, this is a legit company based out of Lincoln Nebraska.
Answer: I asked the same question and was told they are experiencing shipping issues just like the rest of the country. In retrospect, I should have ordered a 'sale guitar' which are new guitars that were used by Denny (a few hundred dollars cheaper too). Kind of like a loaner or demo car I guess. It took me 7 or 8 weeks to get my brand new Zager 900 CE.
