Intellicast unfortunately was taken over by the weather channel (weather underground) and has ruined a perfectly good format.
Nothing works. No models, water temp is way off, no radar, I can't even sign in. I guess they don't care. Will not join again.
Was the best. Has become useless. I will erase the site from all my bookmarks. I do not understand what happened, Change of corporate owner?
I'm a PhD in Physics and I know an unreadable display of information when I see one, believe me. Sorry to toot my own horn, but the site still sucks.
Hourly weather only works half of the time. Don't understand why it's not accessible 24 hours a day. Another one of the many errors.
Used to be able to see high resolution radar. It's gone. Now all we have is difficult navigation and blobs on the radar screens.
The graphs make zero sense. Bring back the old app it was awesome. I use to tell everyone about this app. Not anymore: (
I used to really like this site but now it apears that adverts are a priority over quality. I will use other sites in future.
Unfortunate when websites get updated and its complete $#*!. I'm sure it wasn't cheap either. Weather underground go back to the way it was!
I have loved using wunderground for a long time! Please bring back the functionality that we love. The new design is utterly useless.
It covers barely any information about cloud covers and is not good at observing data on the previous days! Mediocre! Use WeatherChannel.com
Everything loads slow except the ads. Please bring back the old site and dont try to fix something that wasn't broke. :(
Too bad... Always was slow but so much info it was worth the visit. Now its just a joke. Try weatherstreet.
Never right. Terrible navigation tools. Use NOA if you want true weather and not just fake weather with millions of ads
My original review is at the bottom of this post. I got definitive info as to the problem and thought that readers would be interested
The Wunderground staff has been decimated. In 2016-2017 they lost 20 of 50 staff. This February the San Francisco office was closed and 80% of the remaining employees let go, including the entire support staff.
Since the programmers at weather.com are largely responsible for the site now, most of the old code for the site needed to be retired to fit into the weather.com software mold, and this has resulted in loss of functionality.
On the positive side things are being fixed at a snails pace. The Astronomical data which for over a week was indicating that days were lengthening is now OK again. I just wish that there was a central place where we could post site bugs on the web site
Original Review from June 2018
The last few days the Scientific Forecaster discussion loads a day old report. This morning it seems OK.
Now the astronomy section is showing all wrong times related to sunrise and sunset.
Meanwhile the local weather station temperature shown on the first page has been changing, often by 4-5 degrees, when you quickly change pages to and from the home page even though the station and the station reporting time are unchanged.
Yesterday during rain, the precipitation forecast was jumping from. 05" to. 87" depending on what page you were on before going back to the main page. At the same time the precipitation box gave. 33" when clicked.
On the home page if you click on UV index or Pollen you get Air Quality instead with no data available on Air Quality predictions
Unbelievable incompetence. Is Jeff Masters aware of what is going on?
Something changed on the site recently and caused it to be unstable. It's now useless. The page only partially loads and keeps flickering.
Why oh Why remove the daily graph? It let me know what time to plan things. It worked great. I won't be back.
I have send numerous emails to their 'support' team and have never received a response. Non-existent!
Answer: This was deliberate calculated sabotage for some reason
Answer: It won't come back. IBM bought The Weather Company to get at the data so they could package and sell that to their corporate customers using their "Watson" cloud services. Individuals mean nothing. That they've managed to so thoroughly destroy what was once the premiere weather site says a lot about the incompetence behind their core "Watson" products. You might want to tell IBM that.
Answer: They hired a bunch of idiots to manage and design their new site. This included removing features and gutting the radar.
Answer: Yes. We have many employees who come to work each day desperate to appear productive and relevant. We ask them to destroy functional lean websites with bloated nonsense. Meanwhile, our executives require more money so we like to devastate communicative websites with ad-infested infestations of pus-riddled idiocy. Thanks for asking!
Answer: Pointless giving feedback/complaints. I tried this and got an automated reply telling me how much better it was!
Answer: Your local Tv station meteorologist.
