WOB is an excellent bookseller - they have every genre you could wish for, books that are really hard to get hold of due to being out of print, and all the latest books as well! Their descriptions of the condition of books is always accurate, though their " good" condition would probably be described as "excellent" by other sellers - they do not ever overstate the condition. I have bought from them a number of times and have always been very happy with my purchases - keep on doing a great job please!
Excellent and efficient service in this country, Switzerland and USA. USA was £1.50 extra for postage direct and arrived well within stated time of 10 to 14 days. So to Switzerland but £2 postage. Very reasonable. Recipients delighted with their books
I only found WOB recently and by accident, but I was taken immediately by the easy ordering, very moderate prices (and shipping fees!) and the impressive range of titles that suit my areas of interest: English and American literature, fantasy, sf, science etc., many of which are not easy to find in Germany. And delivery time to this country has so far not exceeded 10 days. Thus: Keep up the good work, please!

I bought four copies of an Eduqas physics A level textbook - roughly half the cost of buying them new at best online price (which was the publisher NOT Amazon!) These are to allow me to support groups of students with Covid catch up. Books arrived very promptly and were in much better condition than described.
Students are amazed that i am supplying them with textbooks to 'help them help themselves'.

I recently bought an old book, not super well known, from them and received a copy in less than ideal condition. Reached out to customer service and they were able to find another copy in much better condition and replaced it for me.
This is actually a one off situation as I've bought from WOB several times before and never had any issue or needed any assistance. Their used books are generally in excellent condition and is sent out quickly. Great selection and prices as well. Recommend! :)

Buy quite regularly from WOB - usually my first port of call, especially when I'm looking for a specific book. Quality usually as expected, delivery always swift and I like the ethos. Only once had to return a book as condition wasn't as advertised: Customer Service were impressively quick to respond to my initial email but thereafter the conversation always required prompting from me to move it on. Correspondence was always polite though, and issue was ultimately resolved satisfactorily.
WoB advertised 48 hour delivery and 'like new' quality. When the book didn't arrive, they didn't bother to respond to my first email. Book then arrived a week late and in poor condition. Instead of apology and refund, I have to go through a whole rigmarole: emails - sending photos etc. I ask repeatedly for a refund which they have so far failed to give me. Avoid. They lie about what they are offering and then you get appalling customer service and they add insult to injury by wasting your time.

First time ordering from World of Books and I am very impressed. The book was better than described ie. Advertised as good condition, however I would personally rate it as excellent! It arrived nicely packaged and in a timely manner. I will definitely be making future purchases from WoB as my experience with them is very positive.

Have bought a few times from WOB, going back to when they were World of Books. Always easy to find something of interest, order, and books are sent out promptly. Books are in the advertised condition - pre-loved but not tatty (at least mine haven't been!).

I posted 3 copies of this same book. The first took 2 weeks to arrive even with priority mail. One entry in the postal code had been mistyped so it was sent to the NW, then the SW and finally the SE. Even when the error was pointed out on customer services, the automated message system of customer service made it hard to sort out the addressing error. At Royal Mail, the agents were very helpful on the phone and helped with redirection.
The book was very good for value for money. The WOB packaging, a plastic bag without cardboard, does not match up to that of abebooks, alibris, amazon, or other online booksellers. There was some superficial damage with bending at the corners.

Very disappointed with my whole experience.
I purchased 13 of the same book all stated to be in very good condition. When they arrived 4 of the 13 books very not in very good condition for example, one had pen scribbled all over the front cover, another had a stab mark in the front cover. I reached out to customer support to explain the books were damaged, they said they will refund me for 4 books. However I have had to buy 13 different books so I could give them to my class in time and don't want any of my order so require a full refund. I am happy to return all the books as per their terms and conditions and expect them to pay for postage as it was their error they sent me 4 books in bad condition as per their terms and conditions however they refuse.
Very disappointed in the end product and appalling customer service.

When World of Books became WOB I knew that was a bad sign and so it has proved to be.
As I have been asked to leave a review I will do so, but it is not the best of reviews.
Why ask for a review when the order is not even complete. At the end of May I ordered 3 books but for some reason have only received one of them. How could anybody call that good service?
Surely all books are available so why not send them all together? If they are not available my order should have indicated that. It doesn't seem to make financial sense for a company to make several deliveries instead of one.

I supposedly bought a book in Very good condition. It was shipped USPS in a plastic bag without ANY protection. And sure enough, when it arrived in my mailbox it was anything but in very good condition. Not accepting that and returning it. Avoid this seller. Any seller this careless with their merchandise is not worth your time or money.

Normally I am really pleased. However I was disappointed that I recently bought a book (Ann Cleves: Too good to be true.) that retailed at £1 and you charged me £3. I stress this was probably an unusual situation and that I think your service is excellent

Recently changed from prior company which I had used due to poor quality of some books, very pleased with all books, this is my second order, the majority appear as new or once read. Very swift dispatch and now back to pre Brexit delivery time of a week from order - to France.

I like to buy books in charity shops but the choice is pot luck. With Wob there is almost limitless choice.
The prices are reasonable and the service very efficient with free postage. Sometimes I will hang on to a book to read again in the future but mostly I donate them to charity so that they can be enjoyed by others.
