My bad, I did not read their terms, closely. I thought I brought a three month plan with an end. I WAS WRONG. My bad. MY suggestion is this: if you are going to doing something nice for your customer do it all the way. Don't suck them in and then hammer them. Shady Business at best.
However trying to cancel is difficult to the extent of being charged an extra month is taking the piss quite frankly.
I emailed on 17th Feb... and was told to ring.
Finally got hold of someone today after a huge wait to be told my sub has been paid till 21st March not happy a frigging cheek.
I use WeightWatchers Online service. I love the app for my mobile phone, it's like having a consultant with you in the grocery store.
Though I don't have heaps of weight to lose, it doesn't mean that it's easy to get back into my clothes (a couple of sizes down!)
I have tried some of the fad diets too, yes they work temporarily but they don't teach you how to eat a normal diet - sensibly - to keep your weight off.
WeightWatchers makes no food off limits, it just teaches you how to make healthy choices, and how to balance a treat with exercise and other healthy choices in your day or week. So that's what I do now, thank you Weight Watchers!
I believe this program works for many, however, customer service is horrible. They were extremely rude and refused to answer my question... how to cancel or place on hold my membership due to job loss. They passed me off to 4 different representatives and "accidentally" disconnected my call. When I contacted them immediately after, I was kept on hold for 39 mins and then the representative rattled off a scripted response, told me good luck and hung up. I was beyond shocked, especially due to my remaining friendly throughout the entire exchange. I will never return to WW!
Horrible customer service. Called because I wanted to cancel my membership after trying it for the 4th time with no success and they said we can cancel it but I'm obligated to pay for the next 10 months. After explaining as a previous member, there were no lengthy contracts and I wasn't aware they basically said too bad. Never again and the diet sucks anyways with all the tracking. There are plenty of free apps that do that. Save your money and sanity, you get nowhere with customer service…
I am a dietitian and have heard my clients using this app so decided to check it out. It was not for me. The quality of foods they recommend and try to sell you with fake sugars, preservatives are not actually healthy. They are advertising healthy to make a profit. Plus the app does not provide any information as to the nutrients you are getting. If you eat part of an avocado or some nuts it shoots your points through the roof making you not want to eat these healthy foods that are so good for you even to help with weight loss. I hated this app and when I went to cancel they actually charged me $45 more dollars to just cancel. All in the fine print. I thought I was signing up for a 3 month trial period and could cancel without penalty. Waste of money if you ask me. My fitness pal is free and gives you an idea of how many nutrients you are having too. The quality of our food matters!
I love the ease of Weight Watchers. The app is great. This biggest problem is with the management of WW. They change things often, they say only every several years but it has changed 3 times in 4years. They canceled classes making weigh in challenging. The feeling, if you are lifetime, is that WW has lost interest in you...is that because we don't have to pay if we're at goal weight?
Years ago I could make recipes, type in the ingredients, and a point value would be provided. No longer. I could track walking by the minute, not anymore. Trying to find things within the app is ridiculous. When navigating for anything it keeps looping back to selling something, either foods or exercise programs. Not happy about that. Finding my zero point foods (didn't know I had to memorize them the first time they were created) took me several YouTube videos. Contacting someone for help about the app, nonexistent. Overall the diet makes sense but if there are 20 YouTube videos just to show you how to navigate the app, then it must be harder than it should be for someone who's just trying to change her eating habits.
I can't give it five stars as every time you learn a program, they change it. All the books, apps and support toys will be obsolete by the end of the year. I do not think Super Obese people can not go to WW meeting long enough to loss all the excess weight. It is not set up for them. People who lost normal body wight from poor eating habits will benefit greatly
Really confusing. You have to choose one plan out of there plans and it was just too confusing. I ended up putting on weight. Will go back to Slimming World where I lost 3 stone. Plus if you sign their contract you cannot end it early unless you have a medical note, so even though it is not for me I am stuck paying until the end of my contract. Waste of time and money,
I love this site. I had put on so much weight recently but now feel great and ive just done my teeth white too and look great... im ready for a new girlfriend now. From carl... thank you weightwatchers you were amazing
I never thought I'd see the day where one of the best overall weight and health management programs has a website and app that is as user friendly, intuitive and simple as weight watchers'
Simple search capabilities, huge data base of point values for foods and dishes at hundreds if restaurants. Easy to navigate
Makes tracking of points and activity super easy
I have been on WW's since April 2010 and I use e-tools. I like using the tools, but getting there is half the battle. I have had the hardest time with them for the last couple of months and no one wants to do anything about it. They keep telling me the same thing over and over again and were very insulting. It's like there really isn't anyone there who understands the issues.
WW is the ONLY program that has worked for me! Attending programs is key to success, for me.
I slowly but surely dropped 25 lbs-1 lb/week, without starving.
It was simple to understand, allowed for just about anything, as long as you balanced it out, and it was also inexpensive.
When I stopped going to meetings, 15 lbs crept back, so now, I am back to weekly weigh-ins + meetings, and I know success is again, in my future.
I asked my friend what did you used to measure your results? She replied, i just follow the instruction of WW. I said, what's WW? She said, WeightWatchers. I'm astonished by the results of this weight loss It also is set up nice with good strong pages and sort of a spiral book set-up.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Saw a 3 months for $5 ad, got charged $15. After one month with no weight loss, the app turned off so I cancelled my subscription. Found out i got charged for 2 more months. When I called to complain and request a refund for the past 2 months WW refused to do anything about it
I would give a negative star of I could. Do not sign up for anything or buy anything from weight watchers they will lock you into something and charge you monthly without ever using it! I could not get out of the so called contract I was snuck into and they refused to refund me! Had to cancel my card and get a new one to stop them from stealing my money every month! BEWARE!
If you have to try one program, try this one... - During my medical training, this was the one weight loss program that was universally recommended to me by both patients and physicians. It is not a "quick fix" program and it involves real life style changes along with group support. This is not a fad diet plan (like protein only diets). I would highly recommend this site and program to anyone who is seriously considering losing weight.
Joined the new personal point program and found it to be too tedious with very little results. When I did smart points(green plan), I lost 1-2 pounds a week. This new plan I was told has a slower weight loss, causing you to stay longer and pay more money. I went back to the green plan smart points plan and lost weight again. Everything is now tied to your phone app and I always ate healthy foods on smart points, but now they are giving you points for eating a healthy vegetable and activity, which I always did also. Any recipes have to be found on the phone and the new plan is not sustainable. I only regret paying the money up front. Never again.
Here I moved, for the first time started by going to the store and buying an apple cinnamon oatmeal for her morning breakfasts. The goods arrived and my morning, which gradually turned into a day, began with a wonderful breakfast of oatmeal. The taste is delicious, the setting is positive. I think that I will continue to buy goods from the range I saw. I am almost your regular customer.
WeightWatchers has a rating of 2.2 stars from 158 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with WeightWatchers most frequently mention customer service and point system. WeightWatchers ranks 14th among Diet sites.
