I have used this site a couple of times while shopping for used cars. The information is detailed and helpful. It's free so that's a plus. I will use it again next time I'm car shopping.
I was going to an auto auction. I went to purchase a jeep liberty. I requested the history of this vehicle so that I had somewhat a background on it. I wanted to know if it was wrecked, stolen, flooded or was a lemon. With this report I was confident that this was a good vehicle without seeing it up close. I maxed it to the auction and the jeep was in excellent shape. Unfortunately I was outbidded. With out this report, I wouldn't have gone to that auction.
I only wish I would have found this before my used car purchase. This is the most comprehensive report I've seen for a vehicle. Simply amazing that it is free to the public. Outstanding site!

The report has everything that I wanted to know about the car. Mileage and other details are not up to date., but importantly it has accidents/recalls and others. Very useful.

After searching for a site that doesn't claim that they offer a FREE VIN CHECK w/a report & then actually charge for it, I've finally found my new home for complete & thorough VIN history. This site's report provides more than just a brief summary about the VIN. There are vehicle history records (including odometer records, recalls, & warranty expirations). One really great thing is that the source of these records comes from the NMVTIS (National Motor Vehicle Title Information System). This is very beneficial to those considering to purchase a vehicle.
