Tried writing a negative review for British Gas and they removed it. So I sent in documentary evidence but the review remained removed. Useless site biased against the customers who take time to review there only to have it removed. This is a scam web site for companies who only want positive reviews! Don't waste your time on them to do anything honest either probably make money from the very companies themselves
I have tried to write a genuine but negative review on Trustpilot. They strongly resist any attempts to give negative feedback, presumably because they are paid by the companies we are reviewing. They put obstacles on the way of my being able to leave the feedback: e.g. time limit to make a review, needed documentary evidence (proof of text conversations aren't good enough).
I've learned the hard way that Trustpilot itself can't be trusted.
Every review I write is honest, and about businesses I or friends and relatives are not associated with in any way.
Trustpilot uses 'automated software' to remove reviews. No reasons are given and there's no reassessing of decisions.
I now call it Mistrust Pilot.
A big company sent me an email requesting I write a review on Trustpilot about their customer service.
I had a very bad experience so I detailed this in a very informative/structured way & they were given a 1 star.
They published my review. I received an apologetic reply from the big company and then my review was removed through lack of evidence, within the same day.
To publish it, meant it passed protocol and so it is very clear they have removed it deliberately to keep this big companies ratings (who are likely to pay).
This is really quite concerning when people are trying to provide a review be it good or bad for an organisation. I want to warn people about Help Enterprises they are of zero help as a recruitment agency and people need to be advised. A Mr Greg Luck making false and conflict of interests reviews on all of their websites as he is the current CEO. Low act to boost the poor agency services it provides.
Have guidelines about how a review can be written. If a customer doesn't follow and meets grounds for Reporting to get it removed and you choose to report, Trustpilot will actually email the customer telling them how they can edit the review to allow it to remain up. Defeats the whole purpose of the reporting process. Their so called ' Support Staff' is useless. Would definitely recommend another site.
Trustpilot has become a complete biased and unfair site. They only post what they
So desire and are not at all honest and reliable. I used to use them and after hearing the terrible reviews on them and also experiencing my own biased treatment from them, I would never recommend that anyone use them. They are not reliable in any way shape or form. Many of my friends and associates have also had similar poor experiences with them.
It has become apparent from my own research into the activities of TrustPilot, they they are not the independent organisation that people believe.
Removing authentic reviews of companies which don't conform to the Trustpilot agenda is totally against what Trustpilot are supposed to stand for. I will continue to write fair and reasoned reviews using other websites which do not stoop to deceive as Trustpilot do. Shame on them.
I have written good reviews and negative reviews on trustpilot. All of my negative reviews were flagged and pulled down even though it was valid feedback. They allow the business you are reviewing to harass you and they always side with them. I will continue to use yelp. Trustpilot is not a legit place to see true company ratings
I posted a review in trustpilot but it removed it without asking me for documents when the related company placed dispute on my review. In the name of policies, they do anything they want which are beneficial to companies. There is no freedom for giving reviews. I think they may get some benefits from some companies.
I did review a certain company. I wrote that it (the company) did not apply certain written promises. After a few days, TrustPilot remove my review, without notice, telling me that the review was not "real" and most probably sent via an automated boot service.
I did complain about the absurd and unjust decision, taken without contacting me. Only then TP asked me proof of purchase or contract. A week later my review was online again.
I sent a complaint email telling TP about their fraudulent behaviour. Do I have to think they get rewards from companies asking to remove some client's reviews? Hmm...
Suspected FRAUD committed by TrustPilot. We are have a very small 2-person business. Recently a few 1-star reviews appeared on Trustpilot, with the strangest complains about products and services we don't even have. They did not want to remove them, they suggested that we would have to buy their services to invite real customers to leave positive reviews. In other words, they allow fake reviews, possibly fabricated by themselves, to trick/blackmail business owners into buying their services
We have a terrible experience with trustpilot. Our clients keep posting 5 star reviews by our clients who have been invited through a campaign sent from trustpilot! These 5 star reviews are marked as suspicious and deleted although we and our clients have sent them proofs of payments! There are 4 1 star reviews on our website, from people who clearly state that they have never been our clients. These reviews are there for years! We signed up as a company with the standard subscription of 3,500 a year. Until we paid they were calling us and responding right away. After we paid nobody cares. We posted a 1 star review about trustpilot and guess what... it was deleted within 5 minutes as suspicious! Avoid them.
I wrote a good review of a company on Trustpilot and it was rejected. Of course this company is not client of Trustpilot, and its reviews were very bad (on this platform, on the other review platforms it was good), so I wanted to raise the overall rating. I'm a client of this company since more than 10 years, it's a very real review, but it was rejected with no reason.
The email they sent to explain the rejection is:
"In order to protect our platform, we unfortunately can't give you specific details about why your review was removed. However, you can read more about how our software works in our support article "Trustpilot's fraud detection software". Note that we look at a range of indicators and never remove a review based on one parameter alone.
We consider this case closed and won't be reassessing our decision"
So, nothing can be done and I don't know why it rejected my review. Thanks!
Thanks for everything you do, you're a blessing in this $#*!ed up world we live in. I only wish more people out there want to do what is right for others. Thanks for the successful recovery Allegiant Pro Hacker. Indeed you are God-sent.
It's quite pathetic for a review website to be such a sell out, but they are the worst. They have taken down my reviews, even after I submitted proof of my affiliation with the offending company. They just suck. They are a bunch of wankers that have no backbone and no business setting up a review website. They are very dishonest and pathetic, it cannot be said enough.
I have several times a review, an honest review (both negative & positive) deleted.
And why? For nonsense reasons. I am who I am and there is no other person using an email address with my extension.
Not worth the use and the annoyance.
Trustpilot are committed to collecting funds over real reviews. They encourage negative reviews to get companies to pay for their positive review process.
It's an industry that is very manipulated and needs to be regulated.
Trustpilot using our name on their website even it's a trademark and not allowed to use. On the other side we got so many 1 star fake reviews but 98% of positive reviews are marked as scam and not published. Trustpilot is on of the biggest scam companies out there. They even don't follow the data protection law.
Trust pilot was full of integrity I thought, then all my National trust reviews were removed from long ago for no real reason and a recent one where I provided attendance proof. I was careful what I said and 100% truthful but was removed. I have also been asked to review certain firms I had dealings with fair enough I thought, but when asked for 2 reviews for the same one transaction I complained to the firm only to be told they were not from them but auto generated from Trust pilot that is not on so they will know what you have bought from anyone it seems, to top it all they asked me to give a review for Trust pilot that they rejected, what a low life outfit. This is a review of trust pilot so do not need proof of purchase as I did not buy any thing from them. I have left proof of the last visit to the national trust.
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
Trustpilot has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,104 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention customer service, bad experience and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 127th among Internet Safety sites.
