Was lied to from being was told I only needed 25 panels instead of 30 which only generates 75% of the energy I need told no holes in roof they drilled holes to run metal pipe told they couldn't lock in payment amount until the contract was signed and at first I was told they don't lock in payment amounts SOLAR PANELS are great for the environment but the companies that are pushing them are ROTTEN and screwing people
My average electric bill was $148 a month. Now with trinity solar its $98.40 which they quoted me from the beginning but didnt tell me i still get a bill from AC electric which was $65 So my bill this month is $163
WE HAVE NEVER BEEN FOOLED SO BAD. OUR SALESMAN DOUBLE TALKED. OUR FIRST SYSTEM WASN'T LARGER ENOUGH. TOLD US WE WOULD OWN THE SYSTEM AFTER PUTTING MONEY DOWN AND WAIT AFTER A FEW YEARS. NOW HE SAYS HE NEVER SAID THAT OR EVEN BETTER SAYS HE SORRY IF HE EXPLAINED IT NOT RIGHT. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. AN THEY SAID THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM...
I was told by my salesman that I would be up and running in four weeks after installation. Panels were installed 10/28/2015. I am still not up and running after several calls to Trinity and personally expediting final inspections. After talking to Trinity today they claim they are awaiting an SRP# from the state for which they applied on line 11/11/2015. I personally called NJ Clean Energy Program -*******278) the program that issues the SRP# - and was informed that it takes aprox 4 months to be issued a SPR# and that Trinity was suppose to have had this number before installation. They said I will probably not be up and running until March if I am lucky. I would never refer Trinity and am calling the BBB.
Spencer Flint stopped by my house to discuss putting panels on my roof. I had no interest in doing it. After talking to Spencer I changed my mind. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the value of solar panels. He was very patient in answering my many questions. My panels have been installed and I am looking forward to saving money on my energy bills.
I have always wanted to have solar for my home but it was always too expensive. Well, this time I looked into it and found Trinity Solar Panels, they are very well recognized in the State of New Jersey. They came to the house and explained that they had 3 options: pay in full, lease, no out of pocket. I chose to select lease, this way I receive credits for my electric and the company gets the rebate and I also receive very little amount on my electric bill, down from $150+ down to about $10+. I think it is great for everyone regardless of which one you pick. They maintain everything, all you do is collect your credit and pay a much smaller electric bill. You have nothing to loose and everything to gain. If and when you have a problem with the panels, they know it first for they monitor it and they send someone immediately and fix it and let you know that there was a problem, but now fixed.
Try it, You may save a bundle. Bye bye for now. Stuart S.
I was not even remotely interested in solar, didn't know all that much and hate being approached. I am glad I listened! Spencer Flint was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining the benefits and the process. The entire process was smooth, and FREE! I am saving money and the environment! Thank you Spencer Flint and Trinity Solar!
Spencer Flint knocked on my door to discuss installing solar panels on my roof. Usually I wouldn't even open the door for a sales person but I am very happy that I did! Spencer was extremely knowledgable and passionate about solar energy. He was genuine and actually wanted to help ME. He was patient with all of the questions and extremely enthusiastic about his work. My panels were installed quickly and efficiently and I am so excited to start saving money!
My Trinity rep, Spencer Flint couldn't have been more accomidating and professional throughout the process of obtaining and installing Solar power to my home. I am a new customer with Trinity and thrilled with my first month's results! (Sept 2015)
Spencer Flint signed me up the last week in June and had the system scheduled for installation the 3rd week in August. I received a call from Trinity the last week in July saying they could do the installation the first week in August if I wanted. (2 weeks early) They had the job finished in two days and after sign offs, I was up and running the 3rd week in August. When National grid swapped out the meter my system went dead. I called Spencer and within 10 minutes someone was on the phone with me trying to solve the problem. Spencer had someone there the next morning and the system was back online. Great communication and follow-up!
I was told that I should receive at least 62% of my power from my solar panels. September is my first full month and I have produced 818 KWh as of today. My meter from National Grid is -56 from their last reading. I know that Sept was a very sunny month, but all my power came from solar for this month.
Thank you for the excellent service, Spencer! Great job Trinity!

Started back in February. I interview all of the major solar company's. After every going through this I selected Trinity, mistake one. Installation to begin end of March, they were on time. That is were the good news begins and ends. Since that time they (installation folks) damaged the paint in the hallway next to the attic entrance and also the attic entrance (which is a framed in area). I mentioned this to the lead and his response was. Do you have any paint? Do you have any paint!. Time marches on damage repaired NO. System turned on NO. Effort being made by Trinity to correct situation, mostly silent. No phone calls, trifling email and to top it all off. A Mr Kelly calls on Wednesday 06.08 and wants me to call him asap... gives me his cell phone number so I will have little trouble reaching him. I call... voice mail... again... voice mail. Finally is call the office speak to a very nice lady Lesley (customer service). She is very apathetic as is my wife... but proceeds to tell me Mr Kelly is on VACATION for the next couple of days. A little tidbit that what have helped. Well he answer his company cell while on vacation... I doubt it. So I can't talk to him on Thursday or Friday certainly not Saturday or Sunday and Monay when he returns he will be swamped and my problem pushed aside. This is TRINITY SOLAR. You want to deal with a company like this? No and if I could I wouldn't either.
I dont even know i fall in to this trap. They never explain nothing... they always got a easy way out of my questions, and after i sign up all the big surprises came up... So im still paying JCPL 100plus per month and im paying Trinity 75... they told me my electric bill be will always be around 5 to 20 dollars because thy provide the service. BS now they are telling me I must way a year plus before MY JCPL bill comes down to 5 or 20 dollars... they never told me this. Very misleading, costumer service sucks they are bunch of liars. PLEASE DONT USE THIS COMANY DONT FALL IN THE TRAP...
So many different agents came but nothing was done, and I had to call for 10 months to get one thing finished, STILL CALLING!
Trinity Solar and SUNOVA are running a scam: they came to my house and gave me a false spiel about the costs and I signed a contract for them to install a system. The price he gave me verbally, to be paid monthly for 25 years was under $90 which I calculated after he left to be $26k total payment for the system, which was reasonable for the system I was to get. Supposedly that price would actually save me a ton on my electric bill because the system would be generating enough electricity to lower the unit cost of the KW hours I used from Duke energy from 18 cents to 12 cents per something or other. Taht reduction in the KWH unit charge is what I would be paying Sunova for 25 years he said, and I forget the exact amount but it was under $90 and over $80. The system would be big enough to supply about half of my electricity that I'[m usi9ng at the Peak season (now) in half, so that I would be saving much more than the $85ish payment to Sunova. But turns out to be a bald face lie they have it set up to click through and initial the contract without ever seeing the details that he verbally gave me and I trusted him. But I shouldn't have because the document I signed obligates me to a $102 payment in the first year, which goes up every year after that to like nearly $200 in year 25 for a total of over $*******, which is enough scratch to nearly buy a Cadillac full system with batteries! I think I can still back out. I'm calling them M
It is with great disappointment that I feel compelled to share my recent experience with Trinity Solar. Unfortunately, their track record of missing multiple appointments and providing subpar customer service has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I strongly caution anyone considering their services to think twice and explore alternative options.
From the outset, Trinity Solar portrayed themselves as a reliable and customer-focused organization. However, it quickly became evident that their promises were nothing more than empty words. The first appointment they missed was our initial consultation, leaving me perplexed and frustrated. Not only did they fail to show up, but they also neglected to communicate or provide any explanation for their absence. This lack of professionalism was concerning, to say the least.
Hoping that it was an isolated incident, I rescheduled the consultation and gave them another chance. Unfortunately, history repeated itself, and they missed the second appointment as well. Once again, I was left waiting, wasting precious time and energy. Their disregard for punctuality and their customers' schedules is simply unacceptable.
Attempting to address the issue with Trinity Solar's customer service proved to be an exercise in frustration. Multiple calls to customer service only resulted in offers of rescheduling more appointments. It seemed that once they had secured my interest, their commitment to delivering on their promises evaporated. Their dismissive attitude and lack of accountability only added insult to injury.
The consequences of their missed appointments extend beyond mere inconvenience. I had hoped to transition to solar energy, both for environmental reasons and to reduce my energy costs. However, due to Trinity Solar's repeated failures, I am now left in limbo, uncertain about my next steps and wary of entrusting my solar installation to a company that has demonstrated such unreliability.
In conclusion, I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with Trinity Solar. Their repeated failure to honor their commitments, coupled with their dismissive customer service, has shattered my trust in their ability to provide a reliable and satisfactory service. I strongly advise potential customers to explore other options and seek out a solar company that values professionalism, punctuality, and customer satisfaction. Don't make the same mistake I did by placing your trust in Trinity Solar.
Answer: Hi there. Please reach out to us at customer.service@trinity-solar.com and we'd be happy to assist you.
Answer: All of the solar systems we install are required to go through a building permitting process administered by the local permitting office. An engineer reviews each system design to make sure the roofing system will support the installation according to proper structural engineering requirements and local building codes. Once the system is installed, the system is then inspected by the local permitting inspector to ensure it was installed according to the original design and can support the system's weight.
