I bought plenty of stuff for my new home when I moved. Most everything has exceeded expectations - one chair had a funny mark on the cushion and I was able to return it to the local store with no problem whatsoever, and then go a new one online. This is one of my top go-to sites.
Ordered two pairs of pajamas. Received one and a really ugly grey shirt from someone else's order. Called customer service and after an hour hold was told the replacement pajamas would be sent soon. They never arrived and this time spent TWO hours on and off hold with different managers trying to help. You see they were now sold out of the pajamas. They finally found one but I have to drive to a store within 24 hours or they put it back. I asked for some compensation. They said they would send a gift certificate. Gourds what I received for my three hours on hold. Fifteen dollars. Gee Target. Think you can afford $6 value in merchandise? I can't tell you how thankful I am. I was just paid less than minimum wage to deal with your incompetence.
Everything is so poorly made and mass-produced that it falls apart after a few days. But the prices are sooo expensive for what it is. I can get some of the same things at the dollar store. I purchased some shirts, washed them and they became muted, lopsided, uneven, full of holes and loose threads. Can't wear them in public. The website sucks so much too! Weird layout, hard to navigate. They ship your items one by one. Waste of packaging and time. Why can't you mail out 3 shirts together? Why must I wait 2 weeks just to receive them all? Doesn't make sense. Customer service is a joke, don't bother.
Target online is a mess. I ordered a coffee table posted on their website and received the wrong table twice. Turns out the picture posted was no longer available. I then tried to order a pair of pants and shoes that have yet to arrive. The shipment date was May 1st and the shipping info say's "in transit". I then recieved an email from asking how I liked my purchase... really? It took 3 tries to contact them but when I finally did they offered me a refund before even asking if I still wanted the items. Digging deeper I find out the items are low in stock. Terrible, TERRIBLE online service and communication between the warehouse, staff and customers. Get it together Target, you're big enough to handle this more professionally.
My very first time shopping at Target was this past Christmas. I purchased gifts for my three grand sons. My five year old did not receive his gift until after new Years. No communication during this time, mind you I was promised Christmas Eve arrival the latest. Shame on you Target! The price was right though.
I don't like target at all! They have some very anti American views! They support BLM not the meaning the anarchy that comes with it! It's funny as they were the main victims of the looting! They give vile ppl like Chrissy teigan a line when she bailed out child sex offenders what kind of company is this! I will never shop there again they've showed their true colours!
Web site has awful functionality, but I finally got registered and then received two emails and one text message confirmation.
Instead of getting the delivery, I learned that my order had been canceled.
No apologies. No further attempts to fulfill the order.
Even customer service said nobody was available, so I should call again tomorrow
I've purchased from Target (in stores and online) for years. Last order is overdue by 9 days, UPS admitted (7 days ago) that they cannot locate the shipment and I have spent 2 days trying to chat online (no one is available to 'chat') along with multiple phone calls to Target just to get a refund for items not received. I am not happy at all and will avoid Target whenever possible in the future.
Horrible online ordering. Have frequently receive the wrong items and orders arrive seperately on different days because not all items come from the same store... unbelievable how poorly this is operated
My first visit to this place was my last! I bought a single CD & store security saw it rung up. Then, as I was ready to leave, he announced very loudly for me to stop so he could see my purchase. It was a CD and not even in a bag! Who does that to a little old lady? What an $#*!!
Target hires rude, stupid people to man their "chat" which you are forced to use when they send you defective merchandise, or you don't receive it at all. We made the mistake of spending hundreds at Target for Christmas this year, only to have to deal with their pain in the arse, IQ80, rude customer service. Do yourself a favor and just go ahead & stop using their credit card so you can ask a reputable company to refund you. We'll be returning as many items as we can, Target. You can stick your ill-gained profits up your corporate azz.
Had anniversary gift shipped to store. It was marked received. Email sent out processing takes 24-72 hours and won't be billed until picked up. We have have billed but were not notified available for picked. A day later, order was canceled by Target but our account is still billed. Husband has been on phone numerous times, had to repeat on every transfer. BAD service.
Thank God I have found a place I can share about my experience with Target. They have the widest selection of home improvement materials and implements. The prices are not too expensive, but they are just slightly above those you would get from individual product specialist stockers.
So when Target promises you a date that allows you to get your package in time for your big event don't believe them. They missed the delivery date for Christmas. Then they tell you to please accept our apologies and that you will be getting a gift certificate. When the gift certificate actually came through--A whooping $5. Why bother! You might as well send me nothing and let me know you don't give a $#*! about me.
Target switched high "refund" from original form of payment for defective item to a gift card claiming their "system" could not process.
I purchased a patio set which rusted within 4 months. Target agreed to return and refund my money. Paid for a truck to return set according to Target's directions. In the end, they wanted the refund to be as a gift card and not to my original form of payment. Nothing was ever stated about that change.
I have been trying to order ONE thing at target.com for almost 2 hours. I've chatted online and was shipped overseas for a call to customer service. Both agents were fine but after all this trouble it's not worth the wait to log into my account. Each time I'm sent a password reset via email, it's "expired". I expected more from Target. SO frustrating and a really negative online shopping experience. It's like Y2K but this is 2015! Don't bother shopping at target online. I hate to say it but Walmart was way easier...
I tried Walmart online and will never, ever do it a again. It was a total nightmare and I should have known. I wasted hours of my time for when I thought I was supposed to be saving time. Target on the other had was my second choice. I wish I had made it my first. Not only was the same products cheaper but with was easy and it did save me time. No messed up order issues, no long waits at the store, no long waits on hold with customer service in India. Target needs to get some credit for their amazing customer service and organization. My Christmas gift to everyone is this advice. Do not shop Walmart online, if you want to shop online your holidays should run as planned with Target.com
Ordereda few different orders and 2 were wrong items shipped, but they were awesome to remedy the situation quickly and made things right. Great shipping and easy shopping experience, sometimes customer service was tough understanding not clear English but worked thru it.
Ordered a hoverboard for a Christmas present. Internal issue with the battery but because it's past their measly 90 day return policy they won't exchange it at all! Now we are stuck with an expensive, defective item! Not an adequate return policy for an item of this magnitude! Also, service was not overly helpful and really didn't offer any sort of assistance. They have their "canned" responses and that's it. Very disappointing. I'll be thinking twice before ordering "cyber monday" deals this Christmas!
I'm not sure about all Target stores. The one in the San Mateo CA area, customer service can be scattered... I have asked serveral workers on occasion for a location of an item. Either the worker acts like they do not understand English or I'm told, they are not sure... food section workers are very helpful, sometimes walking me over to certain areas... but not everyone is on the same page.
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.

Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
Target has a rating of 2.2 stars from 1,742 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Target most frequently mention customer service, gift card and online order. Target ranks 6th among Department Store sites.
