They have charged me without my consent. I received no communication that this would be done. After creating a PayPal case the information Spotify sent me was not sufficient to get my money back.
You have illegally stole my money and will not give me it back as an unauthorised transaction.
AVOID using their premium services via a free trial if you don't want money taken from you without consent. Even if you cancel they will STILL take your money.
After reading the reviews on Sitejabber I see that I am not the only one who has been ripped off by the same lack of communication from themselves. Why do you not contact people informing them that payment will be taken before it happens?
I love using spotify as it has such a wide range of music! I have the premium version, which eliminates ads and has unlimited skips. You are able to listen to other people's public playlist, or create your own, which is perfect!
If you get the premium subscription then it's an excellent service with a lot of music you can't find elsewhere. You can also go to ebay and buy lifetime memberships but don't ask me how that works. People swear by it though.
Anyways Spotify is a good site with a decent if a little intrusive app for all platforms. It's one of the better providers out there by far.
15 minute or so intervals you get a new person that has to read what was in the texts and then help. Went through 7 people before the double payment was rectified and my Playlist was retrieved. Noon to 830pm to be on that messaging system. Payoff, a higher bill per month. Where is your customer service?
Here's another business getting you to sign on that continues to drain your bank account month by month. It is one of those businesses that "unless you remember to opt out, they will bill you forever". To cancel the account is like pulling teeth from a hen. Forget it! Honest businesses give monthly statements, balance due, and payments made to keep the consumer informed. Sneaky operations that rely on obscurity and human neglect have a culture and business ethic that is low on the scale of values. I feel sorry for those who work for Spotify in any capacity.
I love listening songs on Spotify with premium quality but when i was using it for free after every 3 song there will be an ad, at sometime it was actually irritating. But now that i'm using the premium version no need to worry about ads.
Amazing music selection. Old underground punk, vintage metal, you name it they have it. Love the ability to search by music type, artist, album, etc. The weekly Discover list has introduced me to many great artist I may have never heard.
The family plan is an amazing value. I don't have to share the site with kids and their music choice does not influence my weekly discover list.
The only way for a music fan to listen to music. Whatever type, wherever they go.
I was double charged for months for two family plans. Apparently there was a family plan in my 10 year old's name. Customer service argued with me over the charges because it was another account. I loved the service, but the ethics is not good. A family should not be charged for two family plans out of the same household, with one of them being charged to a child! I expected they would reimburse me for the couple of months it occurred, but no. They lost me as a customer.
I liked the streaming, but watch the billing if you go with them. That, and family members get kicked off the plan frequently, so some family members chose not to use it.
None of other music providers compare to Spotify. It is well-run, up to date, and has the greatest variety of options and features. Spotify is constantly suggesting new music for me to listen to, most of which I thoroughly enjoy because it suggests music based on what you frequently listen to. The music selection Spotify offers is massive and it is well organized. Plus, it's easy to look up bios and facts about your favorite artists, or even individual songs. The service absolutely worth the price and I am going to stay their client forever
Just as the title suggests…. Spotify "family plan" does NOT keep your kids safe from the smutty crap they have lurking all over that site…. Its disgusting and massively disappointing that their "family plan", which claims to block explicit content, DOES NOT block their audio porn "podcasts"! Switch to amazon or apple music if you want family friendly streaming!
I would advise that if you are a Prime member with Amazon or a Google account holder that you either download digital music via Amazon's music service or watch videos on Youtube. Charges are high on Spotify and the program or application tends to crash quickly and easily. Logging in and out on the website is also difficult and unreliable.
Allen D. Was extremely helpful and an amazing person, I had problems with a promotion and billing and he was able to help me with fast replies, this man needs a raise amazing work and I'm pretty sure everytime i contact support i get picked up by him, always helpful! Thank you!
Honestly i barely use this so i don't know if i can say its bad or good, i kinda used it for a year but unless you have premium it bombards you with ads and the playlists you make are all on shuffle, always. Maybe there is a way around that idk. They also make you listen to songs that you didn't download, that might be a good thing for some but i like my bubble.
Spotify is my ultimate music companion. Its vast library of songs and personalized playlists cater to every mood and occasion. I appreciate the seamless integration across devices and the ability to discover new music through curated playlists and recommendations. The only downside is the occasional ad interruptions for free users.
I have been a premium member of Spotify off and on for the last couple of years. Interface is clean and app itself works well. Free account comes with too many restrictions for music lovers such as myself. Spotify's music catalog is very mainstream. Lesser known artists are rare. Hints the four stars. Dope app though!
... it turned out that I think they sample your listening habits for just 1 month over a 12 month period. It's really not worth it. Look at other music companies that 1) don't publicize your listening habits. 2) amazon music supports hd and ultra hd music quality 3) youtube music supports music videos. Only thing spotify allows is networking through facebook, but if you don't use facebook then you lose a third of the app's usefulness, hence, why i gave it a three. Yearly wrap is a big rip!
Thanks to Spotify music is accessible everywhere. However, the algorithms only play the same songs over again, the artists are complaining about not being paid enough and smaller artists have a hard time getting on the platform
I started using Spotify when I started a new desk job last year. I was stoked when I found out that I could save all of my favorite songs to a playlist then leave it on shuffle all day. Great idea, I love it! The problem is the commercials. They are many and often. It got annoying quickly and now I'm on Pandora. One 30 second commercial every once in awhile. Screw Spotify, they are greedy.
I had use this app for like 4 years and then they decided to set an student account, something that they didn't let me to change it to because I am a student, so there isn't any type of discounts at all unless you are a first register, it does exists better apps to use for music than this one.
I have used Spotify for a year loved it. I am looking to remove it now. They only play 1 or 2 songs now then bunch of commercials. They keep stopping my play list and replace it with their recommendations. Was a good music app not anymore
Answer: I would try to just use another acunt, but if that does not work then idk how to help
Answer: Do you think I could get you to advertise mine? It was recorded at Sony Records in Nashville, TN.
