I paid $7.99 extra for "express shipping". My order is scheduled to ship (not delivered) for 5 business days after I placed the order. Ridiculous. I don't know when I will actually receive the package. Be careful about spending extra money for so called express shipping.
Second (and last) time ordering from them. Last order was on 12/2 and STILL waiting. Quick to take your money, but very S-L-O-W to ship. I don't think they really care either. Just an FYI... Bits and Pieces, Jigsawpuzzles.com and Spilsbury are all the same company with lousy service.
Third time ordering. They were extremely slow the first two times, I gave them one more chance. Again very disappointed. No communication. Had to call this things time, as I did before. Was told 3 puzzles ready to ship, and they were waiting for 4th one to come in. I said send the 3, and refund on 4th... cause I did not want to wait 2 more weeks. They refused to refund money! Told me they will ship the 3... and for me to call back once they ship those, and tell them to refund me on the 4th one. I hope they told me the truth about sending the 3 now. But I doubt it. They lied about the date the 4 the one would be in. Says on their website Dec 8. Lady told me on phone, the 15th. That's their way of getting your money. When I asked for refund, she put me on hold and said "Let me see if that's a possibility.". This is very unprofessional! Poor business practices. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM SPILSBURY! You will regret it.
They have always delivered puzzles ordered if available or refunds. The puzzles are beautiful and it's a hobby of many years..
I received my order in record time, and the puzzle was just fine. The brand of the puzzle was "Aquarius."
It would be five star except for the last order I placed. The shipping took forever, it never took that long before. I was a little scared to place this order if this order takes as long as the last order then I will think twice about ordering from here anymore. We really like Ken Zylla so I will be upset if I stop ordering.
I recently got back into doing puzzles. I saw a beautiful Italy puzzle on Spilsbury, and went back and forth due to the cost of both the puzzle and the shipping. I tried to find an offer for a first time customer but could not. I decided to treat myself, and started working on it last Sunday. What a mess. The pieces are poor quality, and as I started sorting through the 1000 pieces, I was super disappointed to see ripped pieces, bent pieces, and some with the picture actually missing from the cardboard. I couldn't even find the pictures floating around to glue them.
I called, got an Indian call center, and he offered a refund of the puzzle, but not shipping (which was $10.95), or a replacement. I begrudgingly took the replacement. It came today, and while I hope the pieces are intact, clearly it's the same poor quality cardboard.
Now they send me endless discount offers, but this has so burned me I won't buy again. I am wondering, are they the same company as Bits n Pieces? They have the same area code, and even same website layout. At any rate no more puzzles from here for me.
Sent to wrong address. Was returned to them. No refund or confirmation of any kind. Am now having to go through my credit card company to get a refund.
I have NEVER in my life written a negative review on a company before. However, I am so angry right now! I have spent hundreds of dollars buying puzzles from them. It usually takes forever to receive them in the mail or I get a notice that a puzzle or two is unavailable. Because of this, they send me a coupon in the mail for $5 my next order. Last night I placed an order for $39 & tried to use my coupon code to get the $5 off. My receipt did not reflect the discount so I sent them an email asking for them to apply the $5 to my order. They sent me back a response that said my $5 off isn't valid unless I spend $50. No where does it say this on the mailer coupon. I called customer service and spoke to Dani. She repeated the same thing as the email. I asked to speak with her supervisor & she said they weren't available. I asked what their name & contact number was so I could call them. She said she can't give out that info. I told her I was so frustrated that I wanted to cancel my order and I will never order from them again. She said my order has already been processed & she can't cancel it! Meanwhile it will take 2 months to receive the puzzles that they "already processed". This company is a joke! They were willing to lose a repeat customer for $5! Please don't order from them. They don't deserve to be in business!
Stay away! Ordered puzzles on April 1 for my Grandmother's 98th birthday on April 25. Puzzles were marked as "in stock" and estimated delivery in 1 week. Puzzles still not delivered or even shipped on May 12. Company will not respond to my messages. Don't use this company.
Spilsbury is a website/catalog specializing in puzzles: jigsaw puzzles, 3-D puzzles, and all the stuff that can go with them (puzzles sorter and storage boards, puzzle glue, etc.) Great selection!
I think their pricing is on the high side but the bundle prices (pick 3 of this kind or size) and their clearance items still make it a better buy thank full price puzzles from a store. They also have some fun smaller items that are good for bday gifts and stocking stuffers!
spilsbury.com, bitsandpieces.com and jigsawpuzzles.com are all owned/run from the same company!
So this was my first order to get gifts for recipients BEFORE Thanksgiving as well as ON Thanksgiving day. Ordered 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Checked mail every day, no delivery. I emailed multiple times. No answer until I "yelled" at them scolding for not getting back. Finally, they responded saying that it would be shipped as soon as possible. Hadn't even been shipped. Waited, waited, 5 days passed, emailed them again. I complained, and they had NOT sent yet! I expressed my disgust with hem which I do not often do. And they apologized promising to RUSH/SPEED MAIL it to me to receive ASAP. That was well over a week ago. I thought it would come the day after they promised me rush mail.
I emailed again, disgusted. They said (different staff member) saying that I would receive it in 5-7 days from their email that day! Do NOT buy from them. I was relieved to see that I was not the only one scammed by and lied at from them endlessly.
I ordered an item from an eBay seller, oscon. Us. Azl8pxqh, on 11/29. The listing indicated it would be delivered between 12/14 and 12/28. A few days before Christmas, it still had not arrived and I was told by the seller that it had shipped and would be there by 12/28. It never came. On 12/28, I requested a refund. The seller provided tracking info to eBay showing it had been delivered. I called to appeal and eBay refunded my money, NOT the seller. On January 3, I received a postcard from Spilsbury saying the item was out of stock, not available and "you have not been charged." What a joke. Buyer beware, this company seems to be participating in fraudulent selling on eBay, not to mention hacking into UPS for a phony tracking number.
I ordered almost $150 worth of puzzles on 11/3/16. I have yet to receive these puzzles even though my check was cashed on 11/10/16. Followup by me shows that the tracking number given by Spilsbury for the FedEx delivery was unknown to FedEx. I have written 2 complaints to this company via E-mail asking either for a refund of my money or immediate shipment of the puzzles. As of yet, NOTHING. I strongly suggest that no one do business with this company. A GREAT BIG HEADACHE
Called Spilsbury to place a puzzle order for one that was on sale plus had a code for a second free puzzle with this same order. Never received puzzles so investigated. When I called Spilsbury they didn't give me any reason for why they were never shipped but offered to ship me another order. They told me both were in stock. Never received the 2nd order... so when I inquired about it, Spilsbury told me they had to cancel the 2nd order of the puzzle I really wanted because it was out of stock. REALLY?! Buyer Beware!. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Instead of crediting the purchase back to my credit card... Spilsbury told me they would send a check refund to me via mail. Yeah right... crossing my fingers on this one! Sure I'll be calling because I'll never receive "it". They 1st said they were giving me a store credit for a future purchase. I told them absolutely not... why, to go through the anguish of them flubbing up a 3rd order. NO THANKS! I'm surprised they are still in business and have a feeling my dilemma is far from over. Never ceases to amaze me how companies like yhis can remain in business being so disjointed & scammers. Don't read the rest of the reviews... they are just as depressing as mine!
This is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They are a ripoff! DO NOT order from them! Never received my order. After 4 weeks of waiting, I was told today that my order WAS LOST IN THE MAIL! Really?
Placed order 11/5/16, called on 11/19/16 to check on order. THEY HAVE NOT SENT IT OUT YET. WILL BE ANOTHER WEEK BEFORE ORDER IS EVEN FILLED. THEIR EXCUSE IS VOLUMN OF ORDERS. HELLO, IT THE HOLIDAYS. BEEF UP YOUR STAFF. I WILL GET ABOUT (?) 12/14/16. BAD, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I ORDERED PRODUCTS VIA THE INTERNET LAST MONTH AND STILL NO PACKAGES. WHEN I CALLED CONCERNING MY ORDER I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD ARRIVE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I ASKED "WHAT YEAR?" AND WAS DISCONNECTED. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
Ordered a puzzle online for $9.99 with $7.99 shipping and when checkingout was offered a free puzzel with my purchase. So I selected to receive the free puzzel. I then receiived an email stating the puzzel I had purchased was on back order. But my free one would be sent out. My debit card was charges $8.19. Then the next day I was sent an email stating that my order had been cancelled. I did receive the free puzzel in the mail for what I can only assume was a shipping and handling charge. So now I had a puzzel I dont want for something that was supposibly free with my purchase that was cancellesd after this free puzzel was processed. I should have been able to cancel the complete order if they were not able to give me what I ordered. Not cool!
All puzzles ordered have pieces that were damaged in some sort of way, NOT worth what I paid. I think I could have found better puzzles in a dollar store!
Answer: They don't actually deliver anything. Ever. See my review.
