Ever since the original site owner/creator sold out to private equity firms, the site has become all about making money. The majority of posts are nothing more than sponsored ads, and spam posted by paid shills. Nobody cares about the members/community, and they have lost all integrity. I won't use the site anymore. There are plenty of other good deal sites, specially this time of year, like BFAds.net.
This website is awesome. It's a place that many people go to find great deals and post great deals on items. Check it out to find some great deals on all kinds of items.
slickdeals.net I visit this everyday multiple times a day. You should too!
It is not too bad. But it is also seriously crowded. They need to clean up their site and make it look more appealing to the eye. They may find that their site revenue goes up and people will stay longer.
I have been a member of this site for years! I actually check several times a day to make sure I am not missing anything...
From the front page deals to the forums for people looking for deals, this site has it all...
I lost $199 when I clicked on a fake DYSON website listed on SLICK DEALS. Don't trust their site. Advertisers are unreliable. PS. The seller, from mainland China, sent me a plastic toy. The scammers have done this over and over. Slick Deals is complicit by allowing fake advertisements on their site.
Slickdeals is dishonest. Users don't know that Slickdeals is making millions off of them through referrals that Slickdeals' servers automatically add to the end of any link submitted by users. While other sites do this, at least FatWallet offers to split some of those riches with their users, offering "Cash Back". Slickdeals is the "big baby" of deal sites. You can't mention FatWallet without Slickdeals' server censoring that word. You can't mention or link to any site that provides useful price information, e.g., CamelCamelCamel.com. Why? Because if you click to that site to look up a price, and you buy it from the link at CamelCamelCamel, Slickdeals doesn't get the referral. They are unwilling to lose the 4-5% they steal from your Amazon purchase! You also can't strip their referrals off links you add. They don't allow self promotion, but moderators routinely post links to magazine deals that --- not surprisingly -- have a referral link for Slickdeals. In other words, the "deals" they post are mainly deals for Slickdeals' admins -- because they get rich off the referrals. They're not exactly looking out for your best interests, are they? Keep that in mind. There are some helpful posts by various users on their forums, but strip off the referral link if you want to make any purchases.
One of the best places to find great deals on various products based on your keywords.
Saves a lot of money and energy.
All the great deals in one single place.
The products promoted by staff are not necessarily good, maybe we should treat all products equally to select good deal products
Slickdeals is a great site to experience great savings. You can and will find great bargains by using this site. No worries about Christmas or Birthday gifts. Finding that one item you can't live without now is easier at the incredibly low prices you discover on this site. I highly recommend this site for everyone to use. If you love to save money you will love this site. Don't take my word for it try it out. I did and I have never regretted that decision.
I love your site. It costs me a lot of money! Seriously though, my one gripe is that if I have alerts for an item that falls into more than one category I subscribe to, I get an email for that one, and every other one that item might fall into. So for "tools" or "automotive" or "hand tools" - Someone lists a wrench for instance, I get 3 separate emails for each category. I don't know how you could code a way to screen for these dupes but it's really the only irritation I have with the site. Thanks for the effort you DO put in. It's appreciated!
A great place to check if you are looking for a type and brand of item (e.g. Canon camera, dell computer, panasonic hdtv). If you are too specific, may be hard to find an exact fit. Also, worth a check before you head out the door to your favorite retailer, to identify specific deals or store-wide promotions you can take advantage of.
Fantastic source for online/in-store deals - This site is a must-visit for daily savings on gadgets and more. They have a pretty comprehensive list of deals for a variety of online retailers and stores. For the best deals, check out their forums for frequently updated codes and discussion threads (thread ratings a plus). I'm a big fan of the coupon forum.
SD (for those of us who used to think of Slickdeals affectionately), has become a shill paradise and a home for a bunch of name-calling little kids. I used to go there first but find the cacaphony there nearly unbearable and can very often find better prices just by going to Google Shopping. Too bad, place used to be great but obviously sold out for more (but far less quality traffic) and the new folks running the place are morons. No longer recommended as first stop or for any extended search (and certainly not for questions or duscussion.)
I search for many products from electronics to supplements, food, etc. And thanks to SlickDeals I can have a better price and have rewards in cash you can change for example in PayPal.
I recommend having an account in this tool.
They need to improve, to have a comparative price software in different sites.
Slickdeals.net has been around for a long time now. I've been purusing it for about 6 or 7 years. What it is not is a retailer or reseller. It's a listing where registered users may post "hot" or "slick" deals they find on or offline, such as a printable coupon for a free 32 oz at the QuikyMart.
It's a one stop source for sales, coupons, and good deals on practically anything and only depends on what sales are occuring and that users post them to slickdeals. I've purchased clothes, computer parts, and gifts from there and also have gotten a lot of free stuff too.
They update multiple times daily so you have to keep an eye on it if you are shopping
If you try to join and post a deal that is not their sponsor/partner - they will ban you. And they will rep up the ones they will make the most profit from and they will make you think it's community driven but all the users are company employees that hype a product. Then they spam your email. Some of which contains malicious contents.
Most of the 5 star reviews on this site are just them spamming. The others are led to believe they are getting a deal.
One of the best websites for online deals. I used the site to avail really good bang for buck deals. The forums look a bit cluttered. I guess they should work on the way data is presented to give a neater look to the website.
Love Love Love this site! It's my first stop when I am looking for gifts - I can also find the perfect idea for someone and save money.
Only down side is that occasionally, I find so many good deals that I can easily spend more than I intend unless I have will power!
I purchased a product that SlickDeals stated they would pay a rebate on. Rebate was to come from SlickDeals, not the manufacturer.
My rebate was approved on 6/28/2017 and SlickDeals stated that I would receive my rebate in 5-7 weeks.
Rebate never came. When I contacted SlickDeals, they stated, "due to system error", rebate would take 8-10 weeks from approval date.
It is now more than 10 weeks since my approval date, they still have not sent rebate.
When I contacted SlickDeals again, they acknowledge that I am due the rebate, but will not even provide me with a date when I will receive my rebate.
Slickdeals used to be a great place to go and find deals that you may otherwise miss buy, lately, it seems Slickdeals has really become Shilldeals. Staff often push 3rd party sellers to the point that the same seller could be promoted 8-9 times in just a few hours, and we are talking about the same 3rd party sellers that Slickdeals staff specifically state goes against their rules (unless it's staff posted of course). New "staff" gain incredible reputation within the space of a week, Frontpage Deals are often put there with inflated votes from SD staff and moderators. As I said in the beginning, Slickdeals is no more. Welcome to Shilldeals, where staff and moderators are worse than your cheesy car lot salesmen, and get away with anything they want to regardless of the rules for others.
