I can't just believe how a company like that would behave like this. They took my money without my permission. It is not right at all... I'm a teenager and that's the money I worked hard for.
I love this service. It is very convenient as I am able to watch video lessons on my free time and learn skills that are new to me. I recommend this for sure.
Charge me large amount of money without warning, stay away from that, I JUST NEED TO REFUND!
* I have to cancel my debit card because they are stealing my card details, I already notified the bank this company is not truthworthy
I discovered Skillshare a couple of years ago, bumping into a 3 months free offer - understanding fully that after that period it would change over into an annual subscription as the terms were conveniently linked on the signup form.
My main reason to try out Skillshare was to find more casual oriented courses, doing craftsy and artsy things - as a balance to some of the more expensive course platforms that I use for professional growth (being an IT professional) that charge either course based (a fee per course) or have a much higher monthly fee.
I have renewed my Skillshare membership twice, as I absolutely love the platform. I agree that the classes can be a bit of a mixed bag, but there are absolute gems in my area of interest and I took on sketching, drawing and writing classes. The sketchbook challenges opened a bag of creativity and were so motivational that it kicked me into a daily habit. I also had a class that was absolutely horrific in quality and quantity. It is great that you can leave reviews and feedback per class, and after this particular one I was contacted by Skillshare and got extra time added to my subscription as they could act on the provided information and pull the course from their offerings. A community is only as good as its members.
Anyways - if you like to learn by doing at a reasonable annual fee - then Skillshare is definitely something I can recommend, especially for the more creative courses. Just if you sign up for a trial and it is not for you. Then read the terms again and CANCEL your membership before your trial runs out. Not that hard.
I did not want to join skillshare but was tricked into an annual membership of 215 dollars. I will do everything I can to get my money's worth...
I love Skillshare. There are so many different courses to take, and the vast majority of teachers are entertaining and informative. I think it's good value for money.
I bought Adobe's guide, signed up for a class at Udemy and struggled and struggled. Skillshare's Illustrator guides got me where I need to be! Worth every penny.
I started using Skillshare to learn front-end web development not even 90 days ago. 90 days ago, I couldn't tell you what a "programming language" was. Much less what CSS3, HTML5, or JavaScript was. Skillshare has REALLY exceeded my expectations, by making code approachable, even for a rookie like me.
For me SkillShare is amazing, I really consider it the best virtual academy that exists. I can learn from the comfort of any place where I am, at any time and additionally I can go at my own pace, to be able to organize my time as I want I consider it to be one of the best qualities that SkillShare has.
A fellow SkillShare teacher recently told me that they live by the phrase "learn, teach, learn, teach..." I love this approach and love that Skillshare offers both sides to learning and teaching.
Edit: Oct 31 - I checked my Citibank Statement online and thankfully got the refund back. (Guys, just email them and explain your circumstance. They can be really considerate.)
Edit: Oct 29 7:38PM (Philippine Time) - I received an email from them that refund is now being processed and would take at most 10 business days to reflect in my bank statement. Thank God! Will update once it is OFFICIALLY refunded.

I got charged for an annual premium membership yesterday. I have to admit I did forget to cancel the free trial before it expired, but you should've at least notified at least a week prior that free trial is ending soon as proper courtesy just like any other good companies do.
I've read bad reviews from people sharing the same experience and I do believe Skillshare has to do something about this already. I emailed your Support Team as soon as I got the notification that I was charged but haven't heard from them until now. It would have been nice if you have provided a hotline number so I can directly contact you for the concern.
I called the bank and was informed that the amount is still floating and would take 14 days before you can officially charge it to my account, so I was hoping a full refund is still feasible.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Hi Nikkiyah — I'm glad to hear you were able to work out this issue with our Support Team! And thank you for updating your rating to reflect your refund. :)
How knowledgeable the presenters are. They give you insight into specific
Technologies that are cutting edge and show you best practices so you can
Immediately be productive.
Lots of courses from well-known college and universities, where you can have access to the material for next to nothing. Can take courses with certificates fir cheaper than going to university.
*******@skillshare I have contacted you for a refund re an unauthorized charge. Apparently, you charged my bank account even if I have canceled my subscription and you unknowingly charged me. THIS IS JUST SO HORRIFYING (when I need to pay bills)..
The title says it all. I paid for three months, then I canceled, and three days later, they charge me. Also, you cannot remove your card information from the site.
The owners of skillshare Michael Karnjanaprakorn and Malcolm Ong are scammers They are living off stolen money
Michael Karnjanaprakorn,
Malcolm Ong there are a ton of reviews regarding they are Refusing to give refunds And no phone Number to call and at the Better Business Bureau it says that their mail is returned Typical con artists that's what they are
Your time will come KARMA IS A $#*!
The classes are great! Their customer service is a joke. I have sent three emails in the last week asking a simple question. Other then the initial response, I have received no further communication.
I used a 2-month trial and got charged a 120$ for an annual fee. I didn't even use the service after signing up and haven't heard back from their support after submitting a claim.
Hey Miles,
We're sorry to hear you received an unexpected charge! At the time of signup, we note that your free trial will automatically transition into a paid membership unless you have cancelled beforehand. Our team received your email and issued a full refund for the charge, as well as canceled your membership for you. Certainly let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Skillshare
I was charged after the trial period got over but I did forget to cancel the membership as many people have. But I asked them nicely and they refunded me back the amount deducted.

I had choice for a 14 day trail buth my doughter sy after a week that it whas not we're se looking for so I canceled the member ship and direct after that that the account whent back to a normal account. Buth a refund whas not possible becouse I had i subscription whit 30% discount and then te 14 day trail has no rights to cancel for the year. So now I lost more then €67 for really nothing and the support is really $#*!s the don't wanna help you. So please stay away from this company, the don't have free trails, when you sign up for a trail you must directly pay and can not cancel any more without losing your money.
