The bread was really tasty, to the point were we will probably order bread regularly.
Loaves were smaller than anticipated however they have good weight to them.
Some storage instructions/suggestions would be welcomed.
Faster shipping would also have been helpful as the time from order till delivery was almost a week.
I spotted your ad in Simply Gluten Free Magazine tonight. I can't tolerate gluten, soy, eggs or dairy. So, I am about to give your product a try! Received my order within 2 days of baking bread notification. The loved are well packaged in great shape. Fresh as can be. I tried the rye bread the afternoon it arrived. Delicious! I have missed enjoying rye bread. The bread is a perfect size slice for sandwiches. I will be a returning customer.
It was great, anxious to try the bread. I haven't found too many gluten free breads I like.
After receiving my order and trying the bread it's ok. I found it does leave a twang taste. It doesn't toast very well in toaster. I have not tried the bread as French toast yet only eating & as a sandwich. The bread is good but a little too pricey for me.
This was my first personal order, I had tried simplekneads bread at a friends house a few months ago. I'm grateful that shipping to Alaska is included in the free shipping...that is rare! Thank you for making an amazing product for those of us who can not have gluten!
Overall a great ordering experience. Have frozen two loaves and working my way through the sourdough! Best GF l have ever had!
Should mention that there was a bit of condensation in the packages - but hasn't seemed to negatively affected the bread's texture or taste. Just wondering about shipping during hot and humid summer months?
My experience thus far has been excellent but since I haven't yet received or tried the bread I can only give 3 stars. I'm very excited to try it.
I was attracted to the ingredients in your breads. Rather than rice/potato/other starches they contain real grains. I opened all of the varieties and tasted a slice. They're all good but I noticed all of them have a weird aftertaste...I'm not sure how to describe it -- not sour or acidic, but maybe metallic. The aftertaste is apparent whether toasted or not. In any case, I kept out one sourdough loaf and froze the rest and I've enjoyed having some toast each day...something I don't usually do.
Looking forward to trying this bread.
Please consider making it available at other Ingles stores in additional towns in NC such as Rutherfordton which is were we live. Perhaps you can try Ingles at Lake Lure?
Warmest Regards
What a lovely website and photos. This is our first order and we were happy to hear about you through Barbara O Neill at a recent health retreat. So looking forward to enjoying your quality sourdough breads!
I am a Celiac and as such I have tried every gluten free bread product that is available to me. Yours are by far the absolute best. If you should ever decide to expand your prodct line, I will buy whatever it is.
Great experience! Easy ordering and I had a coupon code so that's always nice. The bread is delicious. My one pet peeve is the big seeds on top but they pull right off. I'll definitely come back for more when I use up the loaves I just got.
Hi, the shopping experience was great. I like that you can mix and match the bread loafs. One thing I didn't see on the site though was how long these last? We are a family of 4 and go through bread fairly fast! Anyway can't wait to try it out! Thanks!
Quick shipping and fresh bread. For Top 8 allergen free bread, this is likely the best one out there. It's soft, fresh and moist (unlike any other allergen friendly bread we have tried). Definitely a bread anyone with allergies should try.
Site is minimalist, but not necessarily a bad thing. Gave 4 stars only cause this is our first order. Hopefully we will be so enamored of the bread, that we can up the stars to five. Thinking positively so created account. Thank you and looking forward to tasting your creation.
The breads are great quality. Packaging is well thought out and easy to remove each slice. I have been gluten intolerant for years and have tried many brands of breads. Most of them are in the freezer section of the store and often are freezer burned when purchased. The only way they can be eaten is well toasted and still they often resemble cardboard. This bread can be eaten either way. Toasting does not render it tasteless.
With egg, gluten, soy, corn, rice, oat, legume, and nut allergies, turns out this is literally the one bread in the entire country that I can eat. And the bonus is, it's actually delicious!
Very, very happy with the experience and product. It came really fast and I love that it has all wholesome ingredients, no gums or super processed things. I'm savoring it slowly but will plan to order again when I run out. Thank you!
Simple, beautiful, and easy site! Would have liked to see info on how long shipping takes, but otherwise great. Even with the holidays, packaged arrived quite quickly. So happy to have easy access to high quality, flavorful wheat-free bread, which is so hard to find elsewhere. While it seems pricey, it really is a terrific value for quality organic ingredients and superb service. What a gift.
We were thrilled to discover Simple Kneads at Weaver St Market in Chapel Hill when we lived in the area. It really satisfied our bread lust, which had taken a hit when we first went wheat-free. Organic ingredients are as important to us as the enjoyment of eating, and this bread met all our criteria! We now live in Tucson, a good-sized and fairly progressive foodie city, and despite our efforts in search of locally made bread, haven't found one that comes anywhere close to Simple Kneads in flavor, texture, and quality of ingredients. Boohoo! However, we remembered that mail-order was available, and checked it out online. The website is really simple and easy to navigate, and we had our favorite bread here in no time! We just have to leave some room in the freezer for a couple loaves that won't get consumed right away. Totally worth the expense and the modest ship time, which are both quite reasonable for the treat we're getting.
Delivery time was great. But with USPS as the only option, it sits at the post office over the weekend and until I can pick it up during open PO hours. We live rurally and out mail box is a locked version where the simple kneads package won't fit. USPS won't deliver to door. So, not a great option for me to get GF bread. Taste was average.
Beautifully packed and delivered. Somewhat disappointed in the taste of the two types of bread ordered. I make a much tastier home baked bread from a mix. Would also have liked the loaves unsliced so I cut thicker slices than the thin ones made at the bakery.
My son has several food allergies and most allergen free bread lacks flavor, has an awful texture, and is made with lots of ingredients that I'd rather him not have, so I was really excited to find Simple Kneads. I have to say the bread did not disappoint. It tastes very much like conventional sourdough, if not better!
Thanks so much for making such a delicious and wholesome bread that my whole family can enjoy, allergies or not!
Answer: Sure. I bought 4 breads and keep them in the freezer.
