If you get an email and want to read it or even just see who its from, a pop up comes up and the first and cheapest option is 6 months $12.99. PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES NOT SAY 6 MONTHS $12.99 A MONTH! You therefore think it is costing you $12.99 to join for six months.
Not only that, but all of the men who contacted me within the hour I was at the site, either couldn't write without sounding like they were speaking broken English or without sounding like they were a pervert.
They are affiliated with Match.com
They took my entire profile on match.com and set it up on seniorpeoplemeet.com... and charged my card for three months!
Stay away!
THIS SIGHT IS A RIP OFF. WHILE I WAS A MEMBER, I RECEIVED FALSE MESSAGES FROM MEN WHO WERE NOT ACTIVE MEMBERS. WHEN I RESPONDED TO THE MESSAGES, I WOULD GET A MESSAGE STATING THE MEMBER WAS NO LONGER ACTIVE. THIS SIGHT SEND FALSE MESSAGES, FALSE FLIRTS. I FEEL THE SIGHT SEND FALSE MESSAGES TO MAKE YOU BELIEVE SOMEONE IS INTERESTED IN YOU. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SIGHT.
Donna Finch is going to get your money! Don't contact her, I'm warning you! She is sexy and her body is a 10, but everything is about money money and money.
Been on here for 4 months and nothing but scammers. If there are good men, which I am sure there are, women are so suspicious and ask questiobsvto avoid scams and scare good ones away. Very sad.
I JOINED ON THE 15TH, THEY WERE HAVING A SPECIAL FOR $15.00. THEY HIT MY CREDIT CARD FOR OVER $30 AND THEN AGAIN FOR $22.00. OVER THE WEEKEND I HAD A FEELING THEY WERE DISHONEST AND CALLED MY CREDIT CARD CO, WHICH IS HOW I FOUND OUT. FILED A COMPLAINT AND BLOCKED THEM FROM PUTTING ANYTHING ELSE ON MY CARD. OH YES, PEOPLE ON THERE ARE OUT AND OUT LIARS, FAKE PROFILES, REALLY NASTY PEOPLE. STAY AWAY
This site is definitely worth a try. Also would recommend primetimelove.com - excellent. Anyway hope you all find what you're looking for!
Had my second date this afternoon and wanted to let people know! After my first date (that was on another site called primetimelove) I remember having such a great time that I wanted to write a good review and thank the owners or company behind the site but of course I never got around to it. So today im making a point of writing about my experience so others can see that yes, online dating does work for us silver surfers just as much as it does for the kids!
I met George today at the Balmoral for high tea. We talked a lot, he is divorced with three children and id already seen photos of him with them on his profile. Theyre all grown now and he was telling me more about what they do with their lives and how he sees them less and less. I spoke about my ex a little bit, how he ran off with his secretary (long story) and in person was able to open up to him in a way that I hadnt done over messages. We really had a nice time together and have agreed to meet again on Wednesday for dinner (I guess that means we are getting more serious!) I must say im feeling half my age and cant quite comprehend how different the world is from what I was dating as a teenager, to what its like now. But I think its better now as people have so many ways to meet, as my experience online dating has shown. Im looking forward to seeing George again and hope that others enjoy these sites as much as I do. They really arent just for youngsters you know! If you have any doubts, give it a try!
This website is absolutely TERRIBLE! They are associated with many other dating sites, like Match, Our time, Love & Seek, Marriage Minded People, etc etc. They are all connected and your profile goes up on all of them once you do a cash signup. But, you have to PAY EACH SITE if you want to be active on each of them. But there's no way to opt out of having your profile plastered all over the companies they do business under. They claim to have an opt out button, but each time you come back to the site and check your account, it's been changed back to opt in! I only wasted 20 bucks and pulled my profile off, never again! For any of them! POF might get a lot of bad reviews, but it's free and you can actually message someone and receive a message back and it costs you nothing. Sure, it's filled with scammers, but listen now: THEY ALL ARE. Do NOT waste your money on any of the dating sites owned by People Media.

This site is nothing more than a fraud that's very poorly managed to prevent fake profiles, fake people and an abundance of scam mail. Wish I had actually counted the number of younger women from distant locations that request private email address for "more personal conversation". My account was hacked at least 3 times in as many weeks and the last time the pics were changed completely in addition to significant personal info. Conversation with site rep was filled with continuous "run around" and constant reference to their "security team" without ability to give info about security procedures to prevent reoccurring events. Don't waste your time and money. Here's a real example:

Hey. I would love to connect you with a friend of mine, who is single and searching for a serious man who is ready to settle down and willing to relocate with you. She lives and works in the same city with you. And she is such a wonderful, caring, understanding and a God fearing woman who lost her husband to Cancer of the colon. I already found my match on the site. And my partner and i hope to get married soon. And I will be closing my account after this message. I'm not trying to paint any picture here but you could give this a try.Her name is Lynn and her email address is: *******@gmail.com We never know if we don't try. Send her a text and mention my name. Cynthia. Thank you

I did a keyword search and there were many profiles with exactly the same wording. This is the worst site I've ever visited. AVOID.
I got robbed also. The site said 11.95 for a month and then charged me 80.00. "we have a strict no refund policy"
This review covers both SeniorPeopleMeet and OurTime, which as I understand it share the same database of users.
My biggest complaint isn't with the service, it's with he low quality of the profiles. I'd like to learn something about a woman before I invest time in getting to know her better. I'd like to focus on women that have interests and viewpoints that overlap mine. I'd like to weed out women that are obviously not compatible. Sadly, the profiles reveal almost nothing of the women. Profile after profile says the same thing: "I like to laugh, I like the outdoors..." Even the easy click-on-an-answer questions are often not answered. Consequently, I have proactively contacted very few women because I know virtually nothing significant about any of them.
Conversely, if you think of a profile as just an icebreaker and you just want to meet lots of women regardless of what they are like, then you probably don't care about this.
As for the site itself, it has at least two ways to get you to interact. The main screen will show two women and you can click on which one you like best, based only on a photo. Second, a link to "Today's Matches" will show you a list and you can click Yes or No.
In either case, a positive click will generate a flirt message to that person, a canned sentence from maybe a dozen or so pre-written sentences. When I first signed up I was getting a lot of these canned flirt messages. I thought it odd that none of these women were writing anything themselves. Then I realized that most or all of them are just clicking on my picture and don't even know they're sending a canned message to me.
On a positive note, the few women I have met have been pleasant and I've enjoyed meeting them.
Another company that pays spammers to send their unwanted e-mails to millions. I am sick of it in my mail box, having never asked for info
I chose a payment option of 7.00 and ended up being charged 33.00 and there is no way out of it. All customers beware of this rip off company.
Old skaggy women. No way to prefer anything. I'd like to meet a mature Asian lady, but there's no race choice. Worst dating site ever.
I pay, they say a woman has responded, they now don't recognize me as a member and want money again in order to message back to the woman.
I used to have my profile on major senior dating sites: PrimeTimeLove, SeniorPeopleMeet and OurTime, but the site I met my partner at was PrimeTimeLove.
But SeniorPeopleMeet seemed to be ok for me.
I am a women and thought I would find a gentleman friend on the site, but there are nothing but losers -
They will charge and charge and overcharge your account. Horrible customer service. Save your pennies and go to a better service
Answer: Yes, Brian, I would like to think the persons we are trying to meet maybe left the site or found someone. The bottom line is this, I have never ever heard anything positive about this Web site. It makes me ill sending you messages you can't read until you pay more than as you look at the advertising the clock is running. No worries we all got ripped off it happens
