I had to cancel my two week vacation after one night due to a family emergency. After being given the run around by the hotel whom I had thought that I had actually made the resevation with, found out that somehow reservations.com had hijacked my reservation and their legal department say that no refunds will be given out, meanwhile I have funeral expenses to pay. My family will Never Stay at an IHG property or use reservations.comunists
Wish I would have sought out reviews prior to booking as I had the same experience others reported. During the booking it was very difficult to understand the individual booking my request. I asked if there were fees connected and it was my impression there were not. However, realizing they were charging far more than the actual Hotel that we ended up booking with shortly after hanging up with Reservations.com, they (Reservations.com) did cancel the reservation I made with them but I was still charged the $40.97 fee that I wasn't aware of until I printed the reservation. Do not use this company. They do not have the best price and they are only in it for the fees.
I am in US. I booked a room and instead of charging me in Dollar they charged me in Pound. Room is not worth of that muchoney just for 1 night. When I called Customer care they said they can't do anything. If I cancel the booking I will lost that much money. I tried to tell them it was not my fault they said we can't do anything. They charged me 109.57 pound for 1 night.
I will never use them again. They wanted to charge me over $120 in taxes and fees to book my stay. Then when I cancelled immediately after they still charged my card $22. They suck. Scammers!
I attempted to book a reservation and found myself on Reservation.com. I selected the hotel and clicked on reserve. At no time did I become aware that I just accepted a non-refundable option? When I called to cancel the reservation, they were quite rude and seemed as if this was a common occurrence. I had just booked it and they were unwilling to cancel. I appealed the charge with my CC company and just found out that they would not reverse the charge as well. Seems to be an Iron Clad document. I will take the loss, but Please Do Not Use Reservation.com. They are well-practiced in ripping people off!

This company is extremely false & misleading.
They are not transparent about their hidden fees/policies in the online booking nor in the itinerary, you receive once you book.
I chose the price of the guaranteed free cancellation prior to our arrival. When I attempted to adjust the dates with a customer service representative, they indicated that I had to cancel my booking with them, and reschedule, my reservation price increased substantially and I had to pay another reservation counter fee.
This is completely false and misleading, as the itinerary clearing states "You can cancel free of charge" - "we do not charge any additional changes or cancellation fees".
Call the hotel directly or use another company. Such a horrible experience. The customer service representative clearly said, on the phone "I don't know why you are making this so difficult".
Really? When I booked online it clearly said - to adjust or cancel my booking free of charge until a certain point.
DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT - THEY SCAM & MISLEAD.
Nowhere did their itinerary state what this customer service representative told me on the phone.
As a business owner - I am appalled by this experience.
One. They charged me in US dollars when they advertised it as CAD. 2. I asked for a refund two minutes after I booked because I booked the wrong days…they said no and I'd lose all my money. I asked if I could move the dates (which they have no policy on) and they said I'd have to lose all my money from my prior booking, pay the penalty and then book again. What a joke. NEVER use this website.
I was booking 2 rooms for 2 nights and they quoted $125/night. She told me the charge was $735.27. Not thinking I gave the card info and before hanging up stopped the booking agent and said "wait this doesn't add up, there is over $200 in taxes and fees, what are the fees for?" and she hung up on me and ran the card. I called back to cancel and waited close to 10 mins then was changed $15 anyway. AND will take 3-5 days for a refund. They are an affiliate of priceline.com and I'll never use them again.
Had to cancel due to weather, notified 48 hours ahead and they said NO REFUNDS. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
When searching on the internet for the hotel I would've liked to stay in, this scam artist internet page is the first thing that came up, posing as if it were the hotel's website, so I booked a reservation with them using the 1800-phone number that was provided on the internet page. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the USA now uses 3rd world countries to outsource these customer service positions, it came to no surprise that the person that I was talking to had such broken English that I could barely understand what he was saying. After booking with these scammers, I checked on my online banking and seen that they withdrew the money out of my account immediately. Something in the back of my mind told me that something was not right, so I called the hotel's location directly, and they told me that they did not have the specified room reserved for me, and that they do not collect payment until I am physically at the hotel's location and booked in. I called these scammers back, requested to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for a very long time, only for the same scammer to come back on the phone telling me that I will have to wait 20-30 business days while they "investigate" the "cancellation", and then informed me that there are no "guarantees" that I will be receiving a refund back. At that point, I had it with the shenanigans of this scam artist that Iwas speaking with and had advised these scammers that I was going to call the police and make a report, and then call my bank to notify them of the fraudulent charges made on my account. Luckily, my bank is really on top of these types of fraudulent scammers, my bank immediately went forward with an investigation and reversed the charges and placed this scamming company on their high scam alert list. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me- Never again!
I made a reservation with them and asked about the high charges. ( over $30) above advertised rate. They said it was due to taxes. They lied. Actual taxes were $4. When I cancelled 30 minutes later they refused to refund the extra charges.
We had to go to leave our hotel and go to the emergency room for the last night of our stay. Our hotel made notes in our account that they would absolutely refund the night we had to leave, but since we went through reservations.com, we had to get the refund through them. Trying to describe the experience that we've had to go through just to get $100 back is absolutely ridiculous. 8 emails in, and no sign of them having any sort of customer service whatsoever in terms of trying to help us resolve this. Highly doubt we will not get our money back. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT!
Scam artist duplicating official reservation site of the hotel as close as possible and burried in fine print is a $20 non refundable service fee. Ripoff central
My wife thought she was making a hotel booking directly on the hotel's website. We and the hotel being booked are located in Canada. When we saw our credit card statement, not only were we charged in US dollars by reservations.com (1.4x the cost), we were charged a booking fee of almost $30, all of which is completely non-refundable! Such scammers - avoid them like the plague!
Charges a $45 extra fee after I reserved the hotel, I immediately tried to cancel. That took 38 minutes and they still charged me $20.
They should out of business.
I would give zero stars if I could. Everyone makes mistakes. I mistakenly booked a resort hotel for one night, less than 24 hours out. Ten minutes after booking, I realized that I had booked the wrong resort hotel. The hotel I had intended to book was in a different city, but had the same name. I immediately called the number for cancellation to get this fixed. I was connected to a call center in India and could barely hear the agent for all the static. They could neither switch my reservation NOR refund my credit card. All they offered to do was cancel the reservation with no refund. After much complaining, they agreed to a refund, but... They wanted me to open a paypal acount to refund the money charged to my credit card. This is unacceptable. My card was charged, they can apply the refund to my card. I asked for a supervisor who was very rude and he told me "you made the reservation on your own online. No refund". Terrible customer service. I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years. This type of thing happens all the time and is easily fixed almost 100% of the time. I will never make the mistake of using Reservations.com ever again. They cancelled my reservation and kept my money. THEY CHARGE $20 TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION! AVOID! Call the property directly. I guarantee I would have been refunded had I booked directly.
Made an error in my reservation and immediatly called to correct the error, was charged $25 to cancel and additional fees to rebook the room. This company is complete GARBAGE, DO NOT USE THEM BEWARE. ALL I WAS TOLD WAS YOU ACCEPTED THE TERMS THEY HAVE NO MORAL COMPASS.
So Disappointed that a company would take this stance. NEVER AGAIN
Thought I was calling the hotel as these bastards are listed above them and make it look like the hotel you are searching. I specifically asked for a certain hotel in Shawnee Oklahoma and they booked me for Shawnee Kansas, nearly 400 miles away. No change allowed even after i called 5 minutes after originally booking. All they could say was "dont you know someone who could use the reservation?" Are you kidding me.
Update- after a bit of back and forth with the company. They refunded my service fee.
I made a reservation with reservations.com and was charged a service fee thinking it would all be refundable if I cancelled. Unfortunately there is a service fee of 21 dollars. The company did not refund that. In addition the rate was 303 dollars per night but when the reservation was made the total was 404 dollars. Be very careful if you work with this company.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
