Upon arrival, I was 30 minutes earlier. I said to the desk clerk, I'm sorry, I know I am a little earlier, she did not say anything just tapped her finger on a sheet of paper taped to the the desk, which stated early check in $30. I advised I would wait to check in. During check in, there were several of us to be checked in individually, the credit card machine was not working. This was troublesome for the desk adjuster and she appeared to be getting agitated. While attempting to check in, another guest that was already in house, requested batteries for the remote and a roll of toilet paper. The desk clerk advised maintenance would bring the batteries to her in 30 minutes. The guest advised that the manager from the day before advised the maintenance person had quit the day before. The guest asked did you get a replacement maintenance person today? The desk clerk advised the guest in a very stern voice to "Go to your room!" That should have been a warning. Upon receiving the key card the desk clerk did not advise which way the elevator was. This is common courtesy by most desk clerks. The clerk was extremely rude.
The next morning when I turned on the light in the kitchenette area there were baby roaches crawling on the countertop. The warning should have been the can of raid on the back counter at the front desk. The next day there was a roach in the bathtub. Did not turn off lights for the remainder of the stay.
No cleaning service for cleaning, bedding or towels for a 6 night stay. No signage advising there would be no housekeeping service during the stay.
No ice machines. You had to bring a container to the front desk to get ice. No ice bucket to get ice in.
At time of reservation, requested a handicap accessible room. Not mentioned during check in due to all the other issues happening.
This stay was due to a company event, we had 7 rooms in total. Everyone had issues. One team mate had no TV during the stay. Everyday the front desk told him it would be addressed today. One day the front desk clerk advised him he would be transferred to another room if the TV could not be fixed. Upon arrival back to the hotel that evening, his TV was still not working and he was advised they had no other availability. Another member of our party got sick from the breakfast food. The potatoes from the breakfast were like rocks. The pancake machine would only make two pancakes then shut down. The bagels, plain, had a strange flavor. The only safe thing on the breakfast bar was the banana nut muffins and the yogurt.
We have another group from our company that was to stay at this hotel in the coming weeks. They have cancelled their reservations and will be staying elsewhere.
I would give no stars for this hotel, except this sight requires you to select at least on star in order to complete the review. The company that had recommended the hotel has removed them from their list.
