So, I was talking about that I was going to maybe boast about "how my face as a Laotian is different from others in my ethnicity, especially how I feel like I look Kawaii even as a Southeast Asian", and I get a rather racist "anti-Asian" answer that doesn't clearly explain exact genetics and chemistry and such and instead he insulted and threatened me as his answer! Now I'm too mortified to go to this site anymore and after checking out the ratings of this site here on sitejabber, at least I don't feel all alone giving complants about this unmoderated problematic website and y'all on sitejabber were right! I mean, I will upload the evidence whenever I'm brave enough to, since I was threatened by that same user on that site. Before that, it was an okay site; even the comparison between both Korean pop groups, they gave me a rather satisfying answer than right after I asked about why my genes are this and that.

I left Quora after a year. I had even been named among the 2018 top writers. And then I discovered that the website is full of troll profiles, some of them very well built up, some of them even among the top writers. The area I wrote about was psychology and there were people spreading total non-sense that is in absolute contrast to all the 'official knowledge' out there - like making up their own definitions of codependency, psychopathy - spreading non-sense and somehow not only getting away with it but actually getting a lot of views and high ranking. If you say on Quora that someone is saying something that is non-sense - you will be censored because you are breaching Quora's policy of being nice and respectful, which essentially means that everyone can say whatever, claim they are whoever and get away with it. Quora officially claims they require people to register with their real names but I would love to know how this is being ensured. I am now trying to figure out how to filter Quora from my Internet searches since I don't want to contribute any traffic to this and I am quite disappointed that Google is actually pushing Quora up. It certainly is not the new Wikipedia.

This is my account on Quora. This account is not very popular. It is not extremely grandiose, and it does not attract much attention.

But Quora has an iron grip on the posters of its content, and the moment you step out of line from the viewpoints that the website holds, they hammer down on you like an oppressive regime. Do you accidentally criticize the wrong person or group of people, such as the moderators, the criminals of the inner city, or leftists? Congratulations, your answer has been collapsed. Did you repeal said collapse with a well-reasoned response? Congratulations, your repeal was rejected within five minutes.

Have you espoused viewpoints that fall anywhere right of center-left? Congratulations, your account has a Quora moderation tick on it now. Your comment has been censored and you are not allowed to reply to the same answer again. Have a good day.

Do you believe that you should be able to debate against someone with hard truths rather than having to tip-toe through the debate, all while your opponent calls you names like "Whitey," "Nazi scum," "fascist pig," "misogynist $#*!bag," etcetera? Congratulations, your comments have been removed and your account is banned. Your opponent who called you all of these names and by all means has violated Quora's policies? No, they get to keep their comments and posts.

Too many times. This has happened to me too many times.

I will keep writing on Quora, but you bet that I will never, ever recommend this website to anyone else.

I was contributing to Quora in the narcissist section, because I was in a relationship with a covert narcissist for 8.5 years and thought I could help others from my experience. I had commented on a few posts by some shady characters:

1. A mobile/online self proclaimed expert on narcissism who met his life partner, a DID w/23 different personalities, on Quora and has links to his website trolling for clients on Quora complete with testimonials and zero credentials.
2. A Machiavellian/Sociopath/Narcissist (enough said?)
3. A state registered nurse that was clueless

So, my account was suspended by a moderator, because I was using an initial for my last name since I joined 6 months ago. Quora has a policy of using your real full name that is visible to everyone using the site, which includes some seriously demented freaks. As recently as two days ago, Quora sent me a notice about site safety, but I figured I was pretty safe just having an initial for my last name. The Quora profile page offers you the opportunity to have your full name, address, employment, web page link and whatever, which I consider pretty unsafe.

I decided to put my last name in and it takes me to a page with the link to edit my name and the same page are comments about what people think about the name policy, which includes discussions on having a fake name and Quora has no means of verification, seriously.

So, I deleted my account and will start up a fake one, because there are some very credible posters and you can follow them without being seen by the trolls or freaks.

I never use this website at all, I'm sure I just signed up so I can find an answer for homework or something. Next thing you know I constantly get these emails filled with bull$#*! liberal journalism but that isn't my problem here today. My problem is that I get an email straight up spoiling the end of game of thrones in the subject of them. Now I wouldn't be so angry about this if it was any other time, I'm literally putting on the final episode now and have avoided all spoilers and information about the episode since it's release. But these god damn idiots decide it's a good idea to put THE BIGGEST part of the plot for the final episode RIGHT IN THE SUBJECT. It's not like I read the email, it shows up right under the title. All in all, you guys actually suck and I hope this website crashes and burns with all your liberals hosting this censorship fest. I'm at least glad you guys were already given a 2 star rating from everybody else who isn't a liberal who use your website. $#*! off, quora. Spoilers in the picture.

I will give Quora 1 star, because Sitejabber doesn't allow to give 0 stars. Why?
First, if you visit Quora for the first time, your account will be created automatically by Google.
Second, your e-mail will be bombarded with Quora e-mails with biased answers that you almost can't unsubscribe (If you try to unsubscribe, they will send you another e-mail after like a week and it will be almost looped for hundreds of times).
Third, you can't see answers without being registered.
Fourth, you can't see answers on mobile devices via browser unless you download the Quora app (the unclosable pop-up appears). If you download the app, it is very buggy.
Fifth, the questions and answers of good writers are being collapsed by these incompetent moderators and allows only the bad ones which supports Chinese propaganda.
Sixth, accounts of good writers are getting banned for life without any explanations. Their appeals are being dismissed. And Quora violates the "Be Nice, Be Respectful" (BNBR) policy.
And seventh, Quora has the worst moderators ever in the entire world, which are brutal, broken, arbitrary, unresponsive, misguided and without any sense.
100% of time I don't recommend Quora for writing questions and answers. Try other question sites like Reddit, Google etc. The existence of Quora must be stopped! The Quora moderators must be sent to isolated places for removing everything good and allowing only bad questions and answers!

I was forced to make an account to delete the account I didn't want to make. I don't know how the account even came to exist. Quora is the bane of my search results. Quora sucks!

Quorans exhibits every narcissistic trait you can imagine. Popularity contests, elitism, self-obsession, grand delusions, denial, ignorance, you name it. There are some decent folks here and there on Quora but finding them is extremely rare.

Now, what are the type of "narcissistic" people you will find on Quora? Self-proclaimed "professors" who boast about their "PHD" credentials but throw a hissy fit when they see opposing viewpoints. I don't even believe these professors even for legit academia. Their posts have far too many grammar errors and signs of low emotional intelligence to be considered a professor.

Drama queens who believe the world revolves around them. Conspiracy theorists who make profoundly dumb statements like "COVID-19 is caused by eating too much Broccoli". But worst of all, the mob mentalities that flood Quora. You literally get witch hunted for having a different opinion!

I want to be angry, however, I don't see any reason. Just like Reddit trolls, Quorans act only powerful on the internet, but in real life, their self-worth is equivalent to a blank piece of paper. Quorans cope hard by needing validation by strangers who don't care about them in the end.
