I love them but...

The site is easy to navigate and there is a wide variety of items to choose to bid on. Comic Books, Gemstones. Cards, Jerseys you name it. I have won many. My only issue is some items I have received weren't packed properly. I wanted to start off by saying I have been a customer of for many years, since 2015. I have enjoyed bidding and winning memorabilia. It is part of my hobby to get items either from my State (Arizona) or people I grew up watching. I never had any problem before except in the past couple months. My first issue was when I bought a Warner Brothers " AT THE PLATE" poster. This arrived in the mail damaged. I went through customer support to see what I could do. I was informed I could get a discount or I could send back for a refund. Luckily I saw a similar item coming up for auction and sent it back. I won that auction and it was the same price so with my credit I didn't lose any money.

This past Auction I won was a Jake Plummer signed Cardinals Jersey, when it was delivered yesterday; the driver wanted me to know he could hear glass inside the box, and when he shook it you could indeed hear the glass. I wanted to take the whole frame out of the box and he warned me he couldn't take it back and I wouldn't be able to file a claim if I did that, So we opened just the top of the box to peak inside and it looks like glass portion of the frame wasn't facing the packing material; it was actually on the opposite side (that had no protection). I asked what I should do, He said to refuse due to damage and they would send it back to Pristine Auctione.

I sent an email to tell them of the situation described above and to "Please get back to me and let me know what is going on and what the remedy will be". Damon answered that a refund would be issued.

What bothers me is I spend time looking for that particular jersey, time to keep tabs on it and even more time to be online and outbid everyone else so I could have that item. I don't know the status of the frame, jersey, etc. If it was just the glass that shattered and nothing else was damaged. I figured that should be easy enough to fix and I might be able to get it back. If that wasn't an option I would like to see if I could get a replacement at least? But I was not given any other option.
So what is upsetting to me is #1... my past few packages were damaged. 1st one was a wash.
#2... I believe that the person who packaged my last item did not pay enough attention to be sure it was properly protected. If it was I wouldn't be going through all of this. That mistake cost me my winning item, my time and it is also very aggravating. Although it was nice to get a refund that doesn't really resolve my above issues particularly if that item isn't available anymore; and if it is.I will have to start all over again and it may be more expensive?
I just wanted to vent to you and make you aware of the situation. I am hoping at least whoever is in charge of shipping and handling please be sure to take your time and ensure it is packaged properly. I am not sure if anything will be resolved by leaving this review but I wanted to let you know my issues, thanks for lending your ear.

BEWARE OF PRISTINE AUTHENTICATED ITEMS THAT THEY GUARANTEE AS BEING AUTHENTIC..

I'm a veteran sports memorabilia collector and have been doing so for over 40 years. 10 years ago I purchased two Buster Posey game used bats from Pristine that had a life time guarantee signed by the CEO/Owner Bared Kavlie.
After years of holding onto the bats and having Posey sign, and put numerous accomplished inscriptions on them, I decided to sell one. Before doing so I decided to have PSA/DNA grade and authenticate it, as I wanted another major authenticating company listed when putting it up for sale as well as a possible high grade. I then received the bat back from PSA with documentation Stating that the bat could not be authenticated as it had been altered. I then checked the rest of my collection and found that I had purchased another Buster Posey bat from Pristine that stated in the description that it was used by Poesy on a date given. Upon checking I found that Posey didn't play on the date as stated as he was injured due to a severe ankle injury in which he had surgery.
I then contacted Pristine, and confronted them with my issue, and the fact that I was about to loss thousands of dollars because of the situation. They then had me send in documentation etc. to justify my claim. I advised them that I felt I should be reimburse at least 4,000 for the bats, inscriptions and work I did to upgrade them, as well as current worth.
I then received emails from CEO Kavlie about the situation. He offered that if I return the bats he would refund the purchase price of them plus the cost I paid to PSA to be authenticated. It should be noted that I had purchased the bats during a auction before Posey had accomplished most of his achievements and paid less then then 500.00 for both. When I rejected his offer, he revised his final offer to refunding the purchase price of 428.00 and requiring me to return the fraudulent bats to him. He would also pay for the inscriptions which I paid over $500.00 for and the 400 miles of driving to get them signed and inscribed. His total offer for my signed and inscribed game used Buster Posey rookie era bats was $1,400 with me returning the bats to them. If the bat were authentic as he and his company had guarantee, they could have sold for as much as $4.000 plus. In regard to the bat they had described as being used by Posey on a certain date, he stated the following: "On the generic bat signed by Posey it appears to be an error by our listing team back then. The bat is clearly NOT a Posey model bat so it wouldn't have been used by him. I think the price reflects that. This appears to be a bat that was 'game used by an unknown player'. The listing team must have made a false assumption there based on the date written on the back and/or information given to them by the consignor. In that case also, I'm happy to also take it back for a full refund given that error." He is now inserting that I maybe blackmailing or extorting him in some way, after he authenticated and sold me not one, but two fraudulent game used Poesy bats...
So, If your not a expert authenticator and your unable to view or have it authenticated before purchasing it, I would definitely not purchase any item from Pristine unless you are positive of his authenticity... If you have already purchased a authenticated item from them, no matter how long ago it was, I would seriously have them checked by a reputable authenticator to verify it's authenticity.

I'm anticipating taking it to litigation instead of attempting to negotiate with him..

Re" Pristine Auctions, don't take their word or believe their guarantee on authenticated items.

Ohh ya I like the way you sent opened packs of card after taken out the inserts (good move). I also like the way you sent like 10 sleeves of cards but not one with an insert + they were all bumbs. Smart. I am so mad I am reporting you to the Better Business Burier. They may or may not do anything. But at least you will be on there list of fraudulent practices. Ohh ya I WILL be posting you on social media so all will know.!

I bought 3 boxes from pristine auction "SPECIAL X BLOWOUT BOX" A TRUE SPORTS MEMORABILIA MYSTERY BOX!" and 90% of the 3 boxes were the same stuff? Do I really need 3 maddog signed shirts. 3 rollie finger pictures-3 bobby doerr pictures. 3 ted radcliffe pictures. 3. Johnny pores pictures. 3 glen Foley pictures' auto William Floyd cards' Chris Penn auto cards. Really. This really doesn't sound right. At the most I should have gotten something different in at least 1 BOX? NO Your just emptying your ware house of the junk you cant sell and sending them to pristine auction which can't open them to see your scam! That not even mentioning the REALY crappy cards in the SAME x3 boxes (of the same cards? I couldn't even get a descent item worth anything could sell the boxes for like $10. Man you guys are bad. Do you even own really god auto jerseys/pictures? Etc. Or just throw your junk inventory to pristine? Pissed YAAAA

That's not the point! "They are produced by highly reputable companies and we do guarantee that the contents will fit the item description." How can you call them that when the 3 mystery boxes had 90% of the same junk in them? That's like winning the lottery 3x. I have no problem taking a chance on a mystery box IF I know that there is a least a chance of getting a reputable item. Not when I get 3 signed jerseys of the same person a nobody) 20 signed cards of the same person, 10 signed cards of the same person (again a nobody) it goes on and on in these boxes. I think maybe the company's you deal with because they are NOT reputable? This only signals a Bad image on your company and unfortunately I will have to make others aware of this. And as far as Live Chat goes, all they say is I will let my Boss know. Blahh. Blahh. Blahh. They are useless. Ohh Thanks for nothing/

Let me write a review from. A once buyer to seller
I am far from alone in these type of stories
1st you can't criticize them on there social media or your banned
Been banned from there Twitter account
I was recently banned from there FB
For advertising my items and said of you don't want that you want mine
(They advertised a Josh Allen card but no where did they advertise my signed Josh Allen Football)
When i questioned the owner Jared Kavlie he got back to me fairly quick
Looked into it and he came back with
They said I was banned after they said they asked me then asked me then asked me
I questioned Jared to show proofs
As I was NEVER asked even once
So they lied to the owner and about me
Few weeks ago while pushing my items a person commented that he was happy with me for having a good luck with them while he did not
I commented back saying all wasn't great and I received a email 1 email from customer service saying
I should not bash on social media
Now let's get in to selling with them
They 1st require you send a list of items you are selling for approval
I did as asked
After approval I sent 2 big boxes to them
Cost me $300
They do start listing rate away
2weeks in I get a email saying a item I can't list and a damaged item are being sent back
Damaged card was a patrick mahomes graded 10/10 card that has sold on there site for over $700
Of course you can't call or live chat with anyone all done bye email which is usually 1 email a day if your lucky and it normally doesn't answer your question so you must email again
Find out it was a item I purchased from them that NFL says they can't sell
And a card case was cracked which was in great shape when I sent graded 10
That cost me $30 for them to send back
I asked if box was damaged as I purchased insurance
Never got a answer
They lost a item Ken Norton that has his hand print on it
They had JSA and Beckett redo COA's that came from them
Keep in mind each item they have JSA or Beckett cost you
When you question it you get a run around answer
They charge a min $7.50 and have the right to start at $1 so if it sell's for $3 you owe Pristine $4.50
They don't advertise your items on there FB page unless it is a high priced item
So I did my own advertising on there site
Which I feel helped sell my items so we both benefited
Guess they did not like that so lied to the owner and blocked me
You have no say at all how they sell your item or where they list it
So far my sales have been $ 9,129.00
There share is $1,960.00 plus 17% from buyers of the $9,129.00 part
Equals almost $4,000
Cost to ship to me and other costs they did on me $103.00 (Now at 130)
Keep in mind
Not counting the minus part where you end up owing then
You are not allowed to have any suggestions
Because the email systems for sellers sucks
They get 15% from a sale then charge buyers 17.% so they make 32% off each sale with a minimum of $7.50 from the seller
I have questioned about my lost item for weeks
Still have items missing that had legit COA missing
All you get it
There was this many items on this box and this many are posted and this many are awaiting COA never what it is
As I have a list of every item sent to them and the COA number and company
To charge me for a COA that came from them to start with
To charge me to return a item they sold me they approved for sale
To have a expensive card that was graded a 10 get the case cracked when was fine when sent
But purchased insurance
But could not get a simple was package damaged
To be banned over lies
If they didn't like my style of advertising my items they could speak to me or advertise for me
Maybe the almost $2k they made off me wasn't much in there mind
So I tell everyone
If you want to sell
Be weary use caution
They only care about high end stuff
They won't push your items at all
But they clearly will take there cut
You took the word of a employee when there was no proof
You clearly decided to side with them even though they lied
They still have 20 plus items of mine
Would never recommend selling with them if you want value of your items
Poor customer service
Poor attitudes
Poor advertising
Poor communication
I so want Pristine reply ad I have every email
1 email couple weeks ago saying about bashing them
You want a company who cares this company isn't it
You want a company who wants your items to sell as much as they deserve
This company isn't if
I will NEVER buy or sell using them again

Add the extra fees it comes to 25%
17% from buyers equal 40% a item
Comes to almost 4K from my % and buyers %
Update:Jared contacted me after I filed a claim with the BBB and left negative reviews
His words are this
I have been traveling all day and just seeing this.Also noticed you left long negative reviews.Seems best as this point we part ways
This was after his employer lied to him then lied about me
Jared disappeared from chat for the rest of the day
As I asked for proof that they asked me even once to stop advertising my items on there Fb
But screen shot Jared showed me the employee was clearly the one who said he was the 1 who asked me but that employee was very cocky
Jared said he did not know which employee blocked me
He didn't care either as he avoided the show me proof
He said if I remove the reviews he would look in to my matters
(They won't)
I was get a generic answer
Said if I drop reviews they would unblock me
After we talked I removed reviews
Then his last message before I
Blocked him on Fb was
You have been unblocked
But don't advertise on there
In other words don't talk on there social media
Don't advertise and they won't either
Yesterday 2 items ended
End up costing me to pay them $4.50 in the end
Warning to Jared as this is on record
If you remove my items
Send them back I am fine with that
But if you charge me anything I will contact Arizona AG and show them the date of the review and the date you charged me
Because people if your item doesn't sell
Don't worry you can't cancel the item unless you pay them $15 to do so
But don't worry they will start at $1
Then I look I paid for them to have Beckett redo a COA that came from them
Then pay $27 more to have items sent back to me
So now has cost me $130 in return fees and COA
Keep in mind
They ALL had COA but 1 RVD pic and a Card
All had numbers you could look up in database and 99% came from them
But don't ask what they are because they won't tell you
What should have been a 12k to 15k in Profit even minus their cut has turned into 7k and no advertising at all.
I have blocked Jared the owner on FB making him deal email

If we ever offer criticism we are blocked

1000s of items are sold daily on Pristine
But unless it is a high priced item we sellers and I am not alone have no push of our items
Lower end items are lost on the shovel
You know how it feels to have a item sell for $3 then you the seller owe $4.50 to not only did you give the item away you owe as well

$27 to ship back to me
Well I purchased from them to start with
I purchased in 2020
Paid $56 plus shipping
Then sent to them in May to resell say $10 shipping
They charged $16 to redo COA
$27 to send back
Owner said ship back we will refund you
So spend $27 more to send back
$144 total cost to me
They want to refund the $56 do I loose $88
