I found a pair of Vionic running shoes that were advertised as being worn one time. I ordered the item and it came a week later. These shoes are completely unusable. They are very worn out. There is a lump in the liner of the right shoe that is very painful. I contacted the seller and Poshmark. They refuse to take shoes back and no refund. The shoe smells. It has damage on the inside and both heels.I paid 29 plus 8 dollars shipping and the shoes will be in the trash today. I had other people to try on the shoe and each one felt a hard lump in the center of the right shoe. I will never again purchase from Poshmark. I realize they are used shoes but clearly the misrepresented the condition of the shoes. Poshmark is slow to reply to concerns and offer the same generic response each time I contacted them. They offered no resolution.
This site is the worst marketplace to purchase from. I only like to buy items that are either new or new without tags. I cannot tell you how many times I have purchased something "new" and was sent some faded or overstretched item. Once? Maybe I can look past that, but we are talking about a handful of times. Since photos are what is needed to win your case, sometimes it's impossible to photograph a slight fade or stretch. New or new without tags need to be new, simple as that, and sending anything else is fraudulent. When your photos can't detect these issues, you lose your case and the money is stolen from you. Poshmark does not stand by customers but rather all the sellers fraudulently selling old clothes as new. I gave this site a fair shake several times but never ever again. Don't make the same mistake as me and stay away from this site. I think it is full of the younger generation trying to make a buck off old clothes and saying they are new.
I made my first purchase on poshmark 2 weeks ago. It was dress advertised "no flaws". When I received the dress I was disappointed as the elastic was over stretched which made the dress ill fitting. After paying over $50. With shipping one would expect a decent item. I complaint and waited 2 weeks for a too bad no refund response from company. Ebay is so much better. Do not recommend this site.
The S&H costs almost $7 even if you're buying something as low as $4. Really turns me off from buying much. I'd rather have cheaper shipping and pay less overall than have to pay for mandatory 2-day priority mail.
I have two seemingly lost packages. I paid full price for 2 day shipping, and it's now been over two weeks with no tracking information. Each time I contact the site, they give me the runaround. They are essentially holding my money hostage, as well as the seller's. The response from Posh has been slow, and each time they tell me to wait until a certain date. At this point, because the items have been shipped, there is no option to cancel. Horrible customer service!
I am a newbie at Poshmark. Set up an account yesterday. Started listing a few items and things started going crazy! Emails and different message popping up wanting info about this or that. Then I got a message saying someone wanted to purchase an item. Okay. I got an email that said I had to click a link indicating I accepted their offer, which brought me back to the Poshmark website. When I got back to their website a customer e]service chat box opened. It all went down hill from there. The person doing the chatting told me I had to add a credit card to my account so money could be loaded and said credit card HAD to have a balance of $200 to verify the credit card was legitimate. Stupid me, I loaded money onto a credit card since we keep zero balances on our cards. Scam. They took the $200 and then tried to get another $200! I tried to find a Postmark customer service area and sent them a message. Not sure if I'll hear back or get my money back.
Save yourself a lot of grief don't buy from this website there's way too many sellers who don't disclose condition period! They want you to go by their half $#*! blurry photos in lieu of writing a description and condition! Poshmark puts it on the buyers to ask as many questions as you can! Give me a break! Sellers should be obligated to disclose condition and all basic information! A seller should not have the right to decide what brand you purchase because they don't disclose that! Nobody wants to be surprised and have their rights taken away to choose whether they want to purchase an item of a brand they'd never buy! Poshmark is unprofessional, unethical, and down right backwards for putting that on the buyers! They're system is all screwed up! Save yourself a lot of grief buy from anywhere else but from Poshmark period!
Poshmark not only takes a huge profit from the sale, they promote scams. Buyers can claim a range of defects false or not and seller is left with no product or pay. Waste of time! A huge headache. Actually ruined my kids Christmas bc I sold my bag to pay for their gifts so thanks!
I was completely new to Poshmark. I have never attempted to sell anything on Poshmark. After listing several items, I checked back to see how my closet looked and all of my items were gone! I reached out to Poshmark for an explanation. It took them not 2, not 3, but 4 days to get back to me with some bogus excuse. They are alleging that my account is tied to "tied to" accounts that have been "restricted" in the past. What does that even mean? No proof, no further information. Again, I never listed anything with Poshmark. Bogus.
I only gave them one star because I was forced to I would give them zero stars …Absolutely the worst customer service. I have purchased multiple items however the last three items were fake… Fake golden goose tennis shoes, a mis-labeled Veronica beard dress. I sent in a complaint and they said no returns, is their policy.
Avoid doing business with them at all costs. The real real is a great company and they verify everything that they sell, I will never do business with Poshmark again.
I have gotten some good deals from this site but do your homework on the seller. Over 100 items listed? Avoid. These are people - often from places like NYC - who are desperate to sell and will lie to do so. They steal from donation bins and then sell the clothes to feed their drug habit. On the other hand you will find honest sellers, usually people with no more than 50 items listed who are just reselling clothes they never wear. Also Poshmark will also side with the seller since they are making a ton of money from these drug addicts. So do your homework.
I've been a seller and buyer on Poshmark for a couple of years now and am moving to another platform. I ship within the 2-3 day shipping policy but not all sellers do. I think it may be a scam to look like they have sold items b.c even if you cancel an item for non shipment it is marked as sold and makes the seller look better to buyers. It's b.s. And Poshmark doesn't let you cancel the order for 10 days, which by then, you could have used the money they're holding to buy another item and even have it by then. I'm angry as this is the third or fourth time it has happened to me, moving on…
Its truly unfortunate that poshmark does not have a direct line but everything had to be done over email communications. Even that is done very inefficiently. I lost money on a watch which was supposed to be a men's watch ( danielle wellington) but the seller delivered a ladies watch. After multiple follow ups poshmark said, they can not do anything about it. Nowhere near amazon or ebay.
Just wondering what Poshmark will do about counterfeit items being sold on here especially at a high price? Ive reported some people on here and have gotten no response. Its very simple for people to purchase replicas online for cheap at most, but for sellers to lie to people and get away with it is disheartening. Seriously, i thought these users would get disbanded. I have read seller's "stories" and they are silly pure lies.
I've been selling on Poshmark for about nine years off and on. Never had anything but a 4.9 star rating. Recently sold a pair of Gucci track pants to one of their "ambassadors" who claimed that the item was dirty and were used.
(I never claimed they were new.) They sent in blurry pictures showing no stains or signs of damage. I don't even know what they were trying to show? They asked for a refund/return when there is a no return policy and Poshmark approved it! This person I believe because they were a "ambassador" was able to get the return approved because of their status, there was literally nothing wrong with those pants.
Such a strange way to do business!
I have moved on to other apps such as The Real Real, much better!
Bought something that was completely fake, not how it appeared in photos, when I reached out to customer service they were extremely rude- Shockingly rude, is actually a better way of putting it. Literal a**holes. Their site is full of fake sh*t and it's a huge dice roll as to what you will actually receive in the mail
A colossal waste of time. They don't screen sellers or follow up with them to ever see if items are still available. If you buy something the seller gets 7 days to ship. When they don't, you have the option to try and contact them and then, if they don't reply, you can finally cancel the order.
Meanwhile think of the time you wasted & the opportunities you didn't pursue because you thought you had a great purse or shoes or whatever on the way to your house. There is no way to rate sellers and let people know that "this person doesn't ever SELL anything - they just list things and then ignore all communication, tying your money up for at least 10 days."
I dont really get this platform, there is no verification of authenticity (so well ok, its like ebay), no requirements to photos sellers provide like quality, quantity and that pics should be their own, not pasted from products' websites, lots of things are missing proper description and just as well copied from the website. They say that customer has to ask questions seller, so up to what point should I interview a seller? I wanted to find one Reformation dress that was sold out on the official website and I found plenty of offers, but the thing is that for the same dress of the same colour there were about 5 different tags types on the pics of different sellers, so I believe there are a lot of fakes there. Also its very concerning when someone has 7000 items in listings and they are from all different brands and sizes. So this person took them from where? Some China fakes I assume.
My very first time selling on Poshmark and I've already deleted the app. Never going to use them again. Listed a bag I bought from Norman Marcus and got a notification from Poshmark that my ad had been deleted because my item was counterfeit. No other explanation I have all the receipts I wrote to their customer service and I got no response. Insulting!
After ordering Urban Jeans though this site, the jeans arrived and were absolutely not the size indicated (too large) I immediately contacted the Poshmark customer service and submitted absolute proof that the jeans were sized too large for the measurements that they advertised! I sent them absolute proof but there customer service kept adding more requirements and they needed more pictures of proof of the obvious. Do not purchase anything from these crooks! You will never get any satisfaction from them. My bad for not using due diligence and researching and checking out all of the horrible reviews. I mean it, find any other site and check out the reviews first. I'm hoping that these bastards are bankrupted!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
