Recently we were lucky enough to experience our dream of sailing around the Whitsunday Islands. We chose Portland Roads for their offer of a Platinum Package on a luxury boat. This included a brilliant menu and drinks package which suited us down to the ground. All meals were cooked and served to us by our wonderful chef "our skipper ". We certainly were not disappointed, the meals were amazing and we were spoilt rotten. I have a food allergy which is always a concern when I go on holidays but it was 100% catered for in all my meals which was a great relief. Nothing was too much trouble for our skipper who presented us with a 5 star service. He served us champagne at sunset on the deck, took us to the most secluded lovely little spots around the islands for our overnight stays, took us to the best snorkelling spots (hand feeding the Angel fish was amazing). We always felt we were in safe hands with our skipper so it was easy to sit back relax and enjoy. Definintely a holiday to remember and would love to do it all over again with Portland Roads.
This was on my bucket list for too long. Now that we've been sailing with these guys at Portland Roads; we've put it back on our bucket list. We'll be back. What an amazing holiday

We booked this almost 2 years ago and finally the dates arrived. We booked Lucy with 4 couples, heaps of room, Lucy performed awesome and was present faultlessly.
2nd time sailing on *** and it was even better than the first. We will be back again.

The Portland Roads Catamaran was wonderfully decked out. With good size rooms and plenty of entertaining areas. The 6 of us enjoyed our 5 days cruising the Whitsundays immensely.

Had an amazing time sailing the whitsundays on the catamaran Southern Man. There were 8 of us on board plenty of room comfortable and a easy yacht to sail. Thoroughly recomend it.

Can not recommend highly enough. We sailed œLucy in July this year. 4 adults and 5 lucky little kids. We were very comfortable and have created memories we will never forget. John is wonderful, took extra time to ensure all of our questions were answered and we got the most out of our adventure. The knowledge that Portland Roads prioritise the environment and indigenous people of the Whitsundays makes the experience all the more special. Deano, the expert briefing and fishing advice and tips meant we were able to enjoy our trip without incident (also without any fish to speak of) but we would def consider paying you to take us to land a fish next time. Amazing Man to take a motley bunch with little to no sailing experience and turn them into a competent crew who can handle a boat on their own. We thank you. If you are considering a trip in the Whitsundays you simply cannot beat a boat trip with Portland Roads. The weather is stunning, the snorkelling is even better and the boat will take your breath away.

To start our story, we sought permission to Sail in the Wake and Walk in the Footsteps of our First Nations people.
We now respectfully interpret 60,000 years of mainland Yuwibara, Koinmerburra, Barara Barna, Wiri, Juru and Gia history, Along with 9,000 years of Ngaro island and seafaring stories.
