Just had a week out on Ruby Sunday, The best holiday Ive ever been on. It was a great tirp, great boat and the best people on it with me (my family and friends). I would definitely come back again. The experience was amazing. *** was a fantastic teacher and we felt confident in heading out. He. Also checked in 2 times a day and kept us informed and also provided advice on where to go for the best snorkeling and best places to spend the night. We will definitely go again and u highly recommend doing it. JD
Our Portland Roads hire of the Lagoon 42 foot 16 tonne sail catamaran œLucy was a fantastic experience. Their front *** *** is fantastic with his detailed knowledge of sailing the Whitsundays and his technical support on any issues with operating the boat and where to sail having regard to winds and tides was outstanding. He is an engaging entertainer as well! Highly recommended!

Cruising around the beautiful Whitsundays in Portland Roads was one of the best holiday experiences. Portland Roads has fantastic facilities and plenty of room. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. We were able to visit many beautiful spots in the Whitsundays thanks to our wonderful skipper John! John exceeded expectation and was the best skipper anyone could ask for! Definitely a must do trip!

Beautifully presented vessels, well maintained and exceptional pre and post charter service are the few words that come to mind when I think of Portland Roads. There are quite a number of bareboat charter companies in and around the Whitsundays. In my years I have bareboated with a number of different operators in the Whitsundays. John the operational owner and his team are a set above the rest! They have a small fleet but a large to attention to detail. Having felt more like a number in past experiences with other operators, Portland Roads clearly feels like a family run business with the same genuine warmth that one would hope to find your own home. Thank you for for an exceptional charter and overall experience Portland Roads. The Whitsundays truly are a gem and you guys are delivering it on a platter.
Had the absolute best time sailing the Whitsundays on the beautiful Portland Roads. Amazing boat, incredible sailing and an overall wonderful experience. As a first timer I was initially quite nervous, however with the continuous support from mike and the rest of the team I knew I was in good hands. 100% reccomend this amazing holiday to all, regardless of previous experience.

What a treat. I hadn't given this trip much thought as l was holidaying with friends and they'd done all the planning. Now here I am at the end of our charter quite speachless.
The Whitsundays are extraordinary, our boat was so cool and the guys and gals from Portland Roads have taught me a thing or two about running an amazing business. Love, love, loved every minute and l do not want to go home. A real treat was the indigenous and Eco connections, so respectful and practical (and some great take home ideas)

What an amazing experience. Was a little worried about driving the boat but the briefing from Deano was spot on and easy to follow. We loved our holiday and the kids had a blast. Deanos knowledge of the best places to go were spot on. Especially the snorkeling. Already looking at booking again.

Our group of six had the best 7 days of sailing around the Whitsundays thanks to the excellent instructions from ***, who not only made sure we were fully competent with our sailing skills and the operation of the boat in general but also his helpful advice when we called in on weather conditions, suggestions of protective moorings as well as the best spots for snorkeling. The catamaran was very well equipped, everything you could possibly need, well maintained and a pleasure to sail. This is a must to add to everyones bucket list. We will definitely be back.

To start our story, we sought permission to Sail in the Wake and Walk in the Footsteps of our First Nations people.
We now respectfully interpret 60,000 years of mainland Yuwibara, Koinmerburra, Barara Barna, Wiri, Juru and Gia history, Along with 9,000 years of Ngaro island and seafaring stories.
