Pogo

The new Scrabble game format really sucks. You cannot see the whole board while playing. To get the whole board, you have to manipulate the screen. The old format was user friendly. The new format is hard to use and looks like crap. It looks like it was created in the 1990's with half baked graphics. Pogo got rid of my two favorite games, Word Whomp and Euchre. Now they have screwed up Scrabble. I suggest that people look for other platforms for playing games. I am. Pogo is failing and they have no one to blame but themselves.

I was with Pogo for a really long time then I stopped playing come back everything changed you have to spend gems for games that should be free. Unfortunately I paid for a year I will try to get my money refunded but doesn't look good why did they have to change so much. Lag time on some games is really HORRIBLE!

Renewal time comes up, so I log in to change my card on file. Cant get to account page, getting odd msgs, including account not found. Try to get it sup't. They direct me to a number that winds up being a telemarketer for an EXTREMELY expensive 'computer protection' system that was 3x as expensive as any other. They over dramatized, and outright lied about infections in my computer as well as some across the world having phished my passwords. I've been a customer fo over 10 yrs, but no more.

Trying to figure out how to even contact Customer Service (what a joke) is not at all easy to figure out and once you do, especially if lost GEMS or CREDITS in play, it is pretty much, your loss and "our techs are working on it". Even when you option to talk to a Tech, same response. Ask to be referred or be given a link to resolve a GEM or CREDIT issue and "Once resolved they will decide what to do". Now my wife and I have been with POGO over a decade as well; and that means nothing. With the phones, the Agents we have spoken to, English is not their first language and everything is obviously written out on what they say. Games like Monopoly Sudoku with a huge list of CREDITS not applied and getting ERROR messages should be removed until fixed; they don't care if there are hundreds of reports with the same issue anymore. I would NOT recommend anyone pay for POGO membership much less buy GEMS. POGO has changed and not for the better.

I used to love Pogo. Gladly paid the annual fee for years. Now they have eliminated most all of the games I liked. Qwerty? Gone. Word Whomp Whackdown? Gone. Euchre? Gone. The ones that I liked that are still there have changed to the point they are no longer fun. Hi Limit Texas Hold em has gone from a 6 person table to a 4 person table, and the graphics and sound are a lot worse. Scrabble, my favorite, now has different graphics and is extremely glitchy. Several times a game I have to pass because Pogo won't let me play. Often it just freezes up entirely. Never had those problems before. Hated to cancel my subscription, but there is nothing I like anymore. Shame..

I have played pogo for years. I love card games but the deck is stacked especially in canasta.
If you play cards in real life you can see that the patterns in the pogo deals are way off. I guess if they keep your score low they figure that it keeps you coming back.
The hearts tables are free and the set up is good with true deals but the players cheat and the babble in there from regulars is just awful and obscene. It is beyond belief! Every change that they have made to the games makes it worse and not better. The lady who said that she got viruses from the site is correct. I have had it really mess up my computer with java and flash security weaknesses. NEVER UPGRADE YOUR JAVA OR FLASH FROM THE POGO SITE! I could go on but I would like to find a better site for real time card games. Any suggestions?

Average. Everything about this site is average. It is predominantly filled with puzzle style games, monopoly, mahjong, etc. I can't give it any less stars because some people may get some enjoyment from the large collection of puzzle style games. For me, however, there is no need to return to the site.

It is your typical program where there are lots of games to play and they sucker you in by letting you obtain "badges" for game accomplishments.

Pogo games was a legendary game site that was maybe the most fun game site on the web. Then... it changed. My guess is that it was bought out and squeezed for all monetary value (or though it seemed0 by devaluing the graphics, playability and fun value and just leaving the raw, poor video quality game itself. Today, pogo games is just a husk of what it use to be. And what was that? Avatars with 100's of available variations. Yes, 100's. The best available by coins, earned via gameplay or money, which was a fair value. Games that were very interactive with chat if you wished. And graphics that, over 10 years ago, were better than what's available today. It almost feels like Mitt Romney and his company-destroying-for-profit corporation bought it out and squeezed out all monetary value and left it as the most simple, unentertaining form it could possibly be. It's too bad. Pogo games use to be an industry leader. Now it just sucks. Seek elsewhere. Or, play games in their most basic forms with uninteresting prizes and very little people interaction (which use to be a selling point).

PS I don't need a proof of purchase. I'm not spending a dime on this crap. I spent good money in the past and it was worth it. Now it sucks and I'm not spending a dime. That said, play the free games if they're fun to you. Some are okay. Not what they were, but okay. The few ads aren't an issue.

I purchased Club Pogo yesterday, the 2 games I tried playing. Jungle Gin. Wouldn't let me discard or take cards. Canasta wouldn't work at all. I had Club Pogo for a few hours. I canceled my membership. Said it will be canceled by the next billing cycle. I paid for a year, does that mean I wont get my money back? Will I have to have Pogo for a whole year and cant play? Is so its more of a rip off that I thought. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Pogo emailed me asking if I wanted to renew for another year for $39.00. I replied thatt the game site for Boggle Bash keeps losing my identity and won't let me get on the site. This had happened twice before and after much lost time my brother and then my grandson who has a degree in Computer Science were able to get me back on. Then

Again they lost me and I couldn't use the site. I told Pogo not to renew but they did anyway. Now they will not respond to my emails and I am having to cancel my credit card so they won't charge me again next year. Totally disappointed in this site. Would never try to use it again. Be warned. I've been a paying member since 2004 and have watched Pogo go from a fun and inexpensive game site to one that is eliminating almost every fun thing that made it unique and holding games hostage by forcing us to buy expensive gems. Due to java and flash being eliminated, Pogo is jumping on this opportunity to only convert a fraction of the games and these chosen games are gem intensive. They have eleven Find the Hidden Object games which require gems to play each episode. Postcards from Britain for example would cost 132 gems to get through the episodes which is nearly $10 in gems. The entire membership fee is only $39 a year! So that's 11 games that I can't afford to play and/or refuse to surrender to Pogo's money grab attitude. They have a New Access site which allows us to see what Pogo is going to be and it's terrible. It looks like a game sites for kids. They're eliminating minis and badges and other goodies people have paid for with gems. When people say they hate the new format, they're told they can return to the old, Classic format which will be gone soon and when I've posted several times on their Forums how I feel about the changes I've been censored and my posts deleted. I never thought I would abandon Pogo but they abandoned me and my loyalty to them for 15 years because they are selling us out for money..
