The website works ok, but I have cancelled my subscription and yet I got charged anyway, which is why I will only give one star. Not cool to get charged when I clearly cancelled my subscription before.
It seems like a free site with no sign-up required and it lets you spend time editing a pdf. But, when you try to save the document, a pop up tells you that saving requires you to have an account. Once you create an account, however, you are told that you still can't save the pdf unless you sign up for a paid plan.
We are sorry to hear about such a confusion, Gabe! Yes, we indeed insist each user creates an account for storing documents. This is done for security purposes, in the first place. Many people are doing taxes with us and/or fill in court and other important documents. We just want to make sure all your files are password-protected. Secondly, a choice of several paid plans is offered after a free trial, actually. The free trial lasts 30 days since the day of your registration at PDFfiller platform. Hope this clarifies!
I had to fill out a bunch of forms and was looking for an easier way to do it. My friend linked me to PDFFiller and suggested I give them a try. After uploading my pdf I was able to edit it easily and once I was satisfied with my work it was as easy as downloading it and printing it out. It was so much easier than other services I've used in the past and it was a lot cheaper too. Will definitely be recommending this to my friends in the future and am definitely going to be thanking my friend next time we hit the town by buying him a round or two.
I can't say anything good about their marketing policy and behavior with customers, but it's definitely handy editor for making stuff paperless.
I understand bad reviews and complaints, but read the PRICING section before using it.
The website claims to offer a free trial, yet it won't let you save or send a single document. Worst of all, you won't learn this until you have finished editing your document, then it lets you know you must susbcribe to be able to download it. This kind of bait and hook practices are absolutely disgusting, and the website should be ashamed of putting "free trial" ads.
Martha hi! We are very sorry if any confusion caused!
We DO have a free trial period. It lasts full 30 days, no pre-charges, no frozen amounts, nothing of that kind.
All you need to do is register a personal account.
Please note that difference between having an account and having a paid plan.
Once you register an account as first-timer, you will be automatically redirected to our free trial (as I said, full 30 days, one month).
The paid plan is activated on the second month only.
If you stop using pdfFiller during the free trial, cancel and unsubscribe -- there won't be any charges whatsoever.
Hope this helps!
As with a couple of others I found this site to be BOGUS! They lead you into the site by appearing to be an official government website. When you fill in the form and try to print it you're redirected to purchase the software. The form is actually downloadable at:
http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/*******.pdf.
There are MANY free ways to make the form 'typeable'.
Again, this site is BOGUS!
Dear User,
I am sorry about the misunderstanding. We would like to inform you that we clearly show the pricing on our website and in all our Google ads as well. We never charge our users without their permission and also provides 100% money-back guarantee if the users are dissatisfied and request a refund within 30 days of their subscription.
Also, if you ever need to use our service in the future, please send us an email and you will receive 30 days of free service. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.
-Regards,
PDFfiller Team
Once I was charged by online service (not pdffiller) due to rollout basis of my account. I was ripped off and angry. I had a feeling that I was robbed... until I read the terms of the service.
So when I started to use PDFfiller.com I was ready for this. It seems like this is just a model of accounts management.
Now about the service itself: I've spent about 2 hours trying to find and fill out my W-2 form until I've tried to use PDFfiller. I've filled, signed and sent my form in 20 minutes and for $10. So is this expensive? Dont be so niggling, be more attentive!
When I first decided to go with this product, I was questioning it the whole way around. I was not sure if it would be worth it. But to my surprise it was. I was very happy with the way I could edit PDF's. I never saw a program that ran so smoothly and was so easy to use. There really is not anything that I do not like about this product! I would definitely recommend this product to my co-workers and also to my family. It is easy to use and almost anyone can learn how to use it!
I never have problems using my card online, until today. Right after i used my card in this website my bank called me with issues in my account. I have not authorized any payment in my account and yet the bank says there is something there from PDF Filler.
Lina hi! Many thanks for reporting this, and we are very sorry for the unfortunate experience! To investigate and settle this, we would need slightly more info though. Please chat with our Billing Support over here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/billing?sl=support In advance, thank you for your cooperation on settling this. We hope to see a quick resolution here!
One thing I didn't like - their marketing. It really seems like ripoff. But number of tools and service really worth of expenses. It helps save time, nerves and main thing - no need to use paper in my documents.
They make you believe the software is Free. But it is not. Don't get fooled. After filling up your form, they would ask for email and password as they say you need to have an account and after that they would ask for your credit card. Most people after spending 30 mins would want to proceed. Have the company told them they have to pay, they probably wouldn't have used this software. These marketing tactics are SCAM! Be transparent with people and let them know you are going to charge them.
What can I say? The service worked flawlessly and it was well worth the money. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and the price was well worth the convenience of having to leave the house. I'll definitely be using them in the future.
No one likes filling out forms in pen and ink. PDFfiller offers a better alternative - a complete and versatile way of filling out almost any PDF on your screen. It will even convert PDFs to Word, Excel, or Power Point and save the files on your PC.
However, to convert your work, save it locally, or print it you will first need to pay, and PDFfiller makes no effort to tell you this in advance. There is no, repeat no, text anywhere that says, "These features are available to paid subscribers" or anything like it. Nor is there a side by side comparison of features in the free version and the paid versions. I'm not outraged but I am disappointed. I paid for a one month subscription ($20) because I was in too deep to start over but I doubt I'll renew it.
My coworker recommended me PDFfiller, when I had a need to complete my tax forms and this thing really did everything I need for one hour. Usually it takes much more efforts, papers and etc.
But I need same solution for working with docx, rtf documents because I file some other stuff in my small business with these formats.
I am using this product for a year and I can say that I had quite good experience with pdfiler editor. But I must say that it works perfectly on web version only. I am a bit sad that mobile versions are not reliable enough, but still I can say that it is one of the best editors I have ever used.
Their site masqueraded as a US government site I inadvertantly used to fill out a passport renewal form. After filling out considerable personal info it turned out there was a fee to download the form. I cancelled, but what are they going to do with all my personal data?
Nothing good that's for sure.
1 star because -5 is not an option. Spent a fair amount of time researching data needed for a military retirement form; then was held hostage for a mandatory monthly enrollment before allowing to save work!
There are P L E N T Y of other pdf form fill software options... KEEP LOOKING before using this one.
We are very sorry for the confusion caused!
Please note the difference between having a subscription and having a paid plan in pdfFiller.
Once you register with pdfFiller, our 30-day free trial period starts automatically, no charges applied whatsoever.
If you need PDF editing for your military retirement only -- our free trial will totally do the job! No mandatory payments at all.
Hope this helps!
If you have any additional questions regarding this case, feel free to email us at support@pdffiller.com. We can surely renew your free trial so that you can give pdfFiller a solid test drive.
I was looking for some tools for my pdf documents. I had a need to sign and edit my tax forms and really was bored to make it with pen and paper.
Searches gave me pdfiler and said that it is free. I really liked it but after editing they said that editor iis paid. And it was noted at their website.
This is honestly a good service, albeit a little pricy. As long as you are paying attention to what you are agreeing to, none of this should be a surprise. I started using this as a means to make resumes after I finished school, and continue to use it for my current job submitting letters and forms, as well as helping other employees. No regrets!
Is anyone else concerned that this website is set up to steal your personal information? I sent them and e-mail with this inquiry when I became angry that I was tricked into thinking this was the IRS website and when I mentioned fraud, I got no response. Is this legitimate business?
Answer: NO! Any company that would lure veterans to use their service, then try to charge them to print or save their documents after filling them out iss a RIPOFF!
Answer: Tharun hi! Many thanks for your interest and question! No, our 30-day free trial period is entirely free, no hidden fees, no fine print. The first charge goes on the first day of the second month (and you can surely cancel prior to that, again, no charges). Hope this helps!
Answer: Many thanks for your question! There are two answers here, actually. First of all, nobody in pdfFiller Team has access to the documents you store inside your account. Our Support and Statistics can see the number of uploads and sendings, but NOT the contents of your documents. That's confidential information. Regarding your payments details: If you are paying for our services by a credit card, we see: ***********1234. That is, only the last four digits of your card, the date of transaction and the amount paid. If you are paying via PayPal, we obviously see the email linked to your PayPal account. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Susan, many thanks for your question! And yes, you can do that. Two things are important here. First, you need to register a password-protected account to make sure all your sensitive data is stored securely in our private cloud. Secondly - please, note that PDFfiller does not have any sort of official agreement with medicare, thus, your form cannot be automatically delivered to the needed office. In other words, you can surely fill the form with us, edit it later, print, save, email etc. But keep in mind that you are responsible for document delivery, this is NOT automated. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Bibek, many thanks for your question. And no, you will not, free trial is free :) But please, mind the deadline. Charging is automatic straight after these 30 days are over.
Maria hi! Did you get your refund by now? Do you need our help arranging that? Let us know, thank you.
And sorry for any confusion caused!
