PDFfiller has a rating of 4.5 stars from 5,073 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with PDFfiller most frequently mention customer service, small business and good experience. PDFfiller ranks 66th among Business Documents sites.
PDFfiller does what it advertises and now I can easily manage my PDF files with ease. I had a few questions before wanting to test the service and they were very quick to respond. For anyone having issues with costs, if you look at the pricing page, everything is clearly listed. So far I am happy with the service.
I am now living in France and can't fill out and grant my forms directly by mail. So, PDFfiller services made a big help for me.
I really recommend this tool for people, who wish save time and nerves.
Overall, my experience has been good with PDFfiller. At times I found it confusing. I wish there were more options to save the documents other than downloads. I save a majority of my documents on desktop and would like to see that option added if possible.
So far, very pleased with PDFiller. All is running as expected and can get my forms completed quickly and accurately.
I'm glad because I no longer need to use a scanner. I can now manage my financial documents anywhere from the laptop. It is well worth the cost in terms of time saved. It's paid, but I understand why it worth of money.
After filling in document and saving, I've waited 20 min. For processing to stop. Is this normal? Overall, I like the software and the ease in filling in information. Waiting for the software to save so that I can print is a bummer. It's slowing down my productivity.
No one likes filling out forms in pen and ink. PDFfiller offers a better alternative - a complete and versatile way of filling out almost any PDF on your screen. It will even convert PDFs to Word, Excel, or Power Point and save the files on your PC.
However, to convert your work, save it locally, or print it you will first need to pay, and PDFfiller makes no effort to tell you this in advance. There is no, repeat no, text anywhere that says, "These features are available to paid subscribers" or anything like it. Nor is there a side by side comparison of features in the free version and the paid versions. I'm not outraged but I am disappointed. I paid for a one month subscription ($20) because I was in too deep to start over but I doubt I'll renew it.
Having come from an Adobe house, it is difficult to learn and the biggest disappointment is that there is no AI so everytime I need a new form next day, next week, I have to re-type the same information. Adobe had AI that when I started typing it would give me options (like Google).
The format is easy to understand and quite intuitive. Very quick loading times. My only problem is that text boxes do not align correctly to the pdf that I am editing - they are too high.
Signing a PDF is something basic available through free software. This site makes it out to support that and waste your time, only to demand the subscription price of a premium service just to download that signed document.
With lousy handwriting I thought I would be neat and print a simple form that needed very few entries. Mainly just name and address, account number and date. Wasted my time trying to get through filling it out, which took a LOT longer than printing it, which is what I ended up doing. Like supposedly free tax programs, they pounce with the you cannot print it after you wasted time. If doing several longer forms a month it might be worth it, but not with a deceptive company.
Sharon hi! We are very sorry if any confusion caused!
Our ads (and site, and apps' overview on marketplaces, actually) say "free trial", not just free, strictly speaking. And this is exactly what we are offering -- 30 days of a free trial period.
Yes, you would need to register an account with us (which includes CC data). But there are zero charges during this first month, we assure you. And of course, you can always cancel, no charges involved either. In fact, quite many people are making use of our free trial during the tax season and then cancel afterwards. We totally get it, if you don't need PDF editing for daily business purposes, you won't need our paid plan.
Hope this helps!
Despite the displayed options, SAVE, PRINT, you can't do any of that till they have your credit card that they charge $101 to, which you don't learn about till you've completed your work! So I emailed to 'cancel immediately'; got an email they had, learned later, that only cancels the renewal of the subscription. The $101 is refunded only if you notice it on your charges, email and specifically request it. I've now put their name on my bulletin board to make sure I don't fall for their fibs again.
Apologies for any confusion incurred, Dan!
It looks like the case has been settled via the email by now but we still would like to clarify couple things here, just in case:
- Please note that the first charge went on the 31st day of using pdfFiller since our free trial period is 30 days.
- Our refund policy covers 180 days, so even if you notice the charge not immediately but much later, you are still eligible for a refund, no questions asked.
It's a bait and switch, everything upfront screams "free". You are deceived into inputting form data, try to save a copy, then get hit with the paywall asking for card info. They promise prompt customer service to reassure you it's not a con, knowing full well they will get away with charging a lot of people for months on end because of this horribly shady practice. They could implement a feature that allows a certain amount of free downloads before requiring a payment/subscription, but their goal is not to gain customers through honesty, transparency, or through a superior product.
Alex hi!
First of, we advertise the free trial, and we never state we have a free plan, because we don't have that (and never did) and we are very accurate in our wording.
Our free trial is full 30 days, no limitation on the quantity of downloads or uploads whatsoever. And having a paid plan afterwards is most certainly not a must at all. You can always cancel.
And since you've mentioned a comparison with Adobe --
You might want to compare their free trial (7 days vs 30 days in our case) and pricing (significantly higher).
With all the honesty, we strongly recommend you give it a full test drive of 30 days before calling names :)
DO NOT give any of your credit card details to this company. My card had been used for 4 transactions of Personnal uses and I had to cancel my card and block my account to prevent further damage.
I had use google pay which I thought is trust worthy to sign up the trial, and 2 days later my card was being used. I will report about their criminal act and take action against them.
AC hi!
We are somewhat confused by what's written here and would need more info on the case. Since you've mentioned Google Pay, was it desktop version or our mobile app? In any case, we do not charge customers on the second or third day of using our service. Our mobile free trial is one week sharp, our desktop free trial is 30 days (the first charge goes on the second month of using our software). So, you were charged 2 days after subscribing with us, there is a great probability this was not us, actually.
If you would like us to investigate your case internally, please email support@pdffiller.com, we will certainly do that.
I was trying to end my subscription and in makes you go to your account, find the cancel button at the bottom of subscriptions asks you to confirm by picking "cancel" after you have clicked cancel. THEN brings to a page to try and give you a discount instead. Where there is a final cancel button down the page, that it does not prompt you to click.
Aiden hi!
Many thanks for your feedback on user experience and apologies for any confusion incurred! This was just a brief experiment, actually.
If you are not sure whether your subscription has been canceled and/or you have other concerns, please email support@pdffiller.com, we'll reply on a same day.
I am truly greatful for finding this app! Though it is something as minor as a pdf filler, it has made my life so much easier recently because I started online school yesterday & have also been apartment hunting so I n the last 2 weeks I have had form after form after form to l full out & I am really truly greatful! Thankyou for making such a helpful, all-in-one app!
They will advertise their services as free, but they are NOT free! They will manipulate you into believing you can edit your pdf for free, but when you attempt to save all of your hard work, you are forced to pay $8 a month. The fee of $8 a month needs to be immediately and clearly advertised everywhere on the website as transparently aspossilble. They pretend the service is free and do not tell you about the surprise $8 fee until the last possible second on purpose, it's a gross business tactic that I will not stand behind. Think that their scam tactics are really disgusting, I will never use any products or service from this company again.
Marge hi! Very sorry if any confusion caused!
We actually advertise our free trial PERIOD, which is, yes, very different from a free plan.
And we do have this as publicly open information on our website. Once you go to pdffiller.com, there is tab Pricing in the top bar, and this Pricing page describes all the conditions very thoroughly.
On the other hand, please also note that our free trial period lasts full 30 days (a month, basically). And there are zero charges involved while you are on our free trial.
If you need PDF editing for several documents only (for tax purposes, for example, or for a university application), our free trial would totally do the job, no payments whatsoever.
Hope this helps!
Waste hours of your time, get charged minimum 20$ for 1 $#*!ing PDF. If they had been upfront, you could simply go somewhere else.
Instead, they hide this for when you are done spending hours on a document. No way to save it without entering your credit card
DISGUSTING! 0 stars! I will review bomb this everywhere!
Tan hi! What about our free trial period of 30 days? If you need several forms from our Library and PDF editing for them, our free trial period would actually do the job, no charges whatsoever. We are sorry if this was not immediately obvious. Please email support@pdffiller.com. One of our agents will make sure you get the full free trial period and your monthly plan is refunded. (Our paid plans are used by businesses mostly actually, so if you are an individual user, our free trial should do the job).
After my cancellation these guys continue charge my account year after year. Cancelled three times. They wait 10 days after bank dispute and run your account even after you declined payment. Total rip off. Integrity of this company is 0. Don't get ripped off. Never been treated like this from any other company in history. Buyer Beware!
Michael hi! We are very sorry to read this. If the charges continue automatically, that means that the cancellation did not go through, actually. This might have happened if the Internet was down, even just for a second, when you were cancelling.
Have you tried our Support, actually? In case you already did, we would appreciate if you could tell us the ticket number. We will then do the internal investigation to settle this as soonest.
In case you did not, please chat with our Billing Support over here: https://www.pdffiller.com/en/billing?sl=support
They will need to know your last name, the email you've used as login in pdfFiller, and the last four digits of the credit card charged.
Your cooperation on settling this is highly appreciated in advance!
For those who don't know, there are many different ways to fill out a pdf for free instead of paying 20 dollars a month for something as trivial as a tool to fill out PDF's, for the record that is only the BASIC plan.
Consider using sejda if you want the same tools for free. I am not opposed to paying for software, though 20$ for a basic plan is upwards of 3 netflix subscriptions just to fill out PDF's.
Not to mention their shady tactics in which they only restrict access to premium users once you've completed the PDF, leaving you with the decision of "do I pay for it" or "do I find another site and start over".
Apologies if any confusion incurred while trying to use our service, Sam!
You are absolutely right about the market segment overall, actually. There is quite a wide variety of both free and for-a-fee PDF editors out there. Please note however that each of these PDF editor has both general/standard features as well as quite unique one. And every user chooses something what's best fit for their specific purposes. This is totally up to the user, and we are never aggressive in our marketing, nothing of the kind.
Our monthly is 20$ if one chooses to pay month by month, and only 8$ per month in case of an annual commitment. This is more than acceptable for thousands of our business users who need PDF editing and eSigning on literally daily basis.
On a separate note, please mind that if you are first-timer in pdfFiller, there is always a free trial period of full 30 days. You would need to register an account, correct, but having a paid Basic or Premium is not a must at all. Especially if you need PDF editing for several documents only. The free trial would totally do the job.
Hope this helps!
Answer: NO! Any company that would lure veterans to use their service, then try to charge them to print or save their documents after filling them out iss a RIPOFF!
Answer: Tharun hi! Many thanks for your interest and question! No, our 30-day free trial period is entirely free, no hidden fees, no fine print. The first charge goes on the first day of the second month (and you can surely cancel prior to that, again, no charges). Hope this helps!
Answer: Many thanks for your question! There are two answers here, actually. First of all, nobody in pdfFiller Team has access to the documents you store inside your account. Our Support and Statistics can see the number of uploads and sendings, but NOT the contents of your documents. That's confidential information. Regarding your payments details: If you are paying for our services by a credit card, we see: ***********1234. That is, only the last four digits of your card, the date of transaction and the amount paid. If you are paying via PayPal, we obviously see the email linked to your PayPal account. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Susan, many thanks for your question! And yes, you can do that. Two things are important here. First, you need to register a password-protected account to make sure all your sensitive data is stored securely in our private cloud. Secondly - please, note that PDFfiller does not have any sort of official agreement with medicare, thus, your form cannot be automatically delivered to the needed office. In other words, you can surely fill the form with us, edit it later, print, save, email etc. But keep in mind that you are responsible for document delivery, this is NOT automated. Hope this helps!
Answer: Dear Bibek, many thanks for your question. And no, you will not, free trial is free :) But please, mind the deadline. Charging is automatic straight after these 30 days are over.
Hello there!
First of, regular signing in a free software is not legally binding, just in case. For an important document (like a contract, invoice, insurance or medical forms, etc.) you would need a legally binding solution (which makes your signature valid), and all of those have paid plans (the price may vary across the market though). Apart from the subscription, the standard protocol for this would also involve account creation which indirectly proves your identity (who is signing a document).
Secondly, please note that in pdfFiller specifically, there is a difference between account creation and paid subscription. If you a first-timer on our site, you can register an account (which is totally free, by the way) and then, our 30-day free trial period will start automatically.
In other words, you can register an account, use the free trial on the documents you need -- and then decide whether you need a paid plan with us or not. You can surely cancel and unsubscribe while still on a free trial, and you won't be charged, we assure you.
Hope this helps!
