The program is very easy to go and has a lots of great features and Customer Service is very helpfun and friendly.

This was the 3rd... maybe 4th year I've used the product.
To be fair, its a massive undertaking to produce something as comprehensive as this software so I give them credit. But...
It has already cost me an extra $3,000 in penalties for one of my clients - that I had to pay- because, unlike ProSeries, for instance, some forms did not integrate and as a result, the tax calculation came up short for my (well heeled) client.
My BIGGEST complaint, is that their state modules are weak. I'm in Illinois, and their error codes are not only INDECIPHERABLE and cryptic but inadequate when you do the EFILE check prior to filing.

I've had more returns BOUNCE after getting a clean EFILE review UNLIKE ProSeries which I really like... except for cost. I wish I could cut and paste one of the error messages I got AFTER FILING the State of Illinois but the system wouldn't let me.

Unless they figure out the EFILE check so that it works AND make the error codes user friendly, this software is suitable only for simple 1040s and very experienced preparers. I am a verified customer and not very happy.

I was contacted by a salesman from MyTaxPrepOffice who did nothing but talk me off about how great the software was and how comparable it was to Drake. The man sold me on the product based on his misleading and false description of the software. We actually have laws against deceptive business practices.

All season long I found several errors in the software. It wasn't calculating EIC, it wouldn't pro-forma proper information to worksheets, it was miscalculating, etc. Every single last return I completed in MyTaxprep had an issue that I needed support to fix. I actually lost a $750 return due to MyTaxPrep office failing to fix an error in the 1065 application for almost 3 weeks.

This software is NO WHERE near comparing to Drake, which is who I will be switching back to. This software is developed by someone who is not even familiar with the tax laws and codes. I have to amend several returns due to errors on MyTaxPrep office and they are not e-filing the returns yet giving a submission ID!

My client was fined a late fee for not filing their NY LLC return. MyTaxPrep office has a submission ID and accepted next to the client yet NYS says the submission ID only was attached to the personal NY return, not the LLC.

This is a complete nightmare and cost me more time and money that I thought I'd be saving. This is complete garbage and a waste of money.

I went with this software for my business for the 2018 filing year. My office is very small and I was hoping to have a less expensive software in order not to increase my fees. Well, the words,: You get what you pay for" is very true in this circumstance. Almost every single return of 300+ has had issues. I have spent many a day almost in tears because of the issues. Once you finally have added or overridden figures because of miscalculations you "save" the file and exit the return to do another task, go back to the return later and the return has magically changed. Or upon the "review' which each software has before you can Efile the return it creates errors. You try to find out the error and there is nothing wrong on the particular form. In order to transmit you must delete the entire form and reenter everything. If you do have a problem and call them. The customer service agent will tell you that they have to send the issue up to a "Tax analyst". One file I had to wait 12 days for a response. 12 days! The last day (15th) is stressful for us in this profession. The software is based all "online", On the 15th I was bogged down with slow performance and consistent log outs. When I logged back in the return I was working on or the extension was completely erased of all forms and figures. I sent my extensions for my clients from the 12th thru the 15th. It took 3 to 4 days to get confirmations of acceptance. Totally unacceptable.
Due to my purchase of the 2018 software I was given the 2019 free. I will not be using their software for the upcoming year. I would rather have reliability and accurate figures for my clients. I deserve this and so do they. Please take my advice and DO NOT use this software if you care about your sanity and quality service.
