I love this store, not sure why so many bad reviews. Never had bad customer service experience and I have shopped at every Maurices on the East coast. Online experiences have always been great, no issues with exchanging anything. Clothes have always been true to size and great quality. Pretty much the only store I shop at, and i constantly get compliments on my clothes. Love, love this store.
I started shopping at Maurices in the 90s. I don't remember much about their style that long ago. However since around 2010/2011. Their clothing has went down hill. Idk who is in charge of the plus size clothing. But it looks out dated, way too short for plus size, and like something one would find at a thrift store/Goodwill. It's like little house on the prairie meets 95 year old grandma@ goodwill. Email me. And fire whoever is in charge of plus size clothing
Ordered two items and order said it didn't go through. Reordered it. Well first one went through. Was charge for two. Was old they couldn't cancel. Will not be ordering anymore very unhappy I buy alot there. No more
We bought clothes. They talked us into a credit card for 30% off. Great! Why not? They signed us up with COMENITY BANK. We always paid our bill on time, but when I noticed the exorbitant interest rate, I called to cancel. I closed out my account in February, paid in full over the phone. A month later, they sent me a bill for $9, with a threat of a $40 penalty for late payment, plus the presumed ding to my credit. When I phoned to pay it, they said it was a finance fee from when I paid off the balance. After much pressing on my part, they admitted that if I paid off the new $9, I would later be assessed the same finance fee... for paying off the $9. Fast-forward to now: a new bill for $11. When I called just now, it's actually up to $26. I see no end in sight at this point, and actually dont know how to get out from under this without them ruining my credit. Customer service call center seems to be in India. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MAURICE'S.
I went to Maurice's in Pleasant Prairie to buy a gift for a family member. That family member was with me in the store. I showed the associate my ID and store card and she questioned my family member if she lived with me and she needed her ID to give a discount? I explained I am buying it and had cash in my hand, the family member was not purchasing it. Then after the receipt was printed I signed my name and she asked me to put my store # down? Why? She just seen my store card with the store # on it. I have been to a Maurice's before and never had this problem. The sales associate 999 was very rude and very embarrassing to me in front of my family member. Thanks for your rudeness! I will never shop there if she is there. No people skills whatsoever!
For anyone that didn't know after screwing up my order three times and waiting on hold for over and hour to fix things the best I could do was get my money back and I'm left with out a present days before Christmas and the at home agents you talk to apparently are able to hang up on you and can't help with anything or even send you to a manager.
For a company that doesn't have a return policy they refused to do my return because the manager didn't know how to do the online return and basically said I can't return your items. She called the store manager who said no we cannot return your items even though you have the receipt and you only purchased these items a few days ago.
I ordered a shirt on line I didn't like so I returned it requesting a refund. I sent my return through the post office and paid to have it tracked. According to the post office the shirt was delivered but 30 plus days later Maurices claim they never got and I have never received my refund. The customer service rep told me that she was sorry and there was nothing she could do about it.
I bought my daughter a shirt for school, she didn't like it. This time I walked into the Orem Utah store with my receipt. The manager was pushing me into looking for another item instead of giving me a refund. After telling the manager 3 times that I wanted a refund not an exchange her demeanor change, she was rude but I got my money back. We like their cloths but not the customer service. I will never shop Maurices again.
My favorite Maurices is their Brownsburg location. Maybe because that's the first one I went to or just because the employees are all so nice and always helpful! Sara is the one who helped me the very first time I shopped there and I love her! I love them all! And I always get compliments when I wear what I've bought there. The Maurices line of jeans are now my absolute favorites!
Ordered a pair of Jean's, when I recieved them they still had security tag on them. Cant get it off of course. Called store they wouldn't help. Now I'm stuck with the Jean's that I can not wear so if I were you I would buy somewhere else
My husband purchased a gift certificate. That supposedly never expires. The company switched to a different system... and the gift certificate I have... they do not have a "record" of it. Even though I scanned it and sent it to them. $100.00 on this certificate down the drain!
I called ahead to New Richmond Maurices to let them know I was coming in to get gift cards. I was there at 8 doors were already locked with customer inside. I called to let them know I was the one who had called about coming in for gift cards and she refused to help me. Horrible customer service. I was nit lot coming for anything fit two 50.00 dollar gifts cards.
The website for maurices never works and is the most confusing site in the world! It always says my username and password is incorrect, which in fact it is correct. It doesn't give an option to use my VIP card and when I try to use a promo card it's never recognized. When I click on an item to look at it, it doesn't give me the option to go back to where I was at so I have to start from the beginning again. I tried calling customer service which was back in January of 2017 and they say it's being worked on. So I guess it takes 4 months and I'm guessing even longer to fix it... cuz it still sucks! However for me to pay my bill, it works great!
Your clothes are amazing and it's great you offer plus sizes but you have no models over a size 5. I am not skinny but only a size 10 and I feel uncomfortable shopping in your catalog with all very very thin models when pitching up to plus sizes... I get the thinner the better but you have to reach all your customers. Not realistic. Love your store but always junk the catalogs in the mail for that reason
So. I was in the store today. And im about a size 6. The women associates greeted me, told me about the sale that was going on. I said thank you and im just looking around. It was my first time in the store. Ever... so i was just feeling it out. I have heard good reviews before so i wanted to see for my self. I could have bren shopping for someone else. I felt like the sales person was stalking me. I was in there for maybe 15 mins just looking around and she approached me 4 times. I was so uncomfortable she told me i was in the plus sizes and my sizes were on the other side. I felt like i was not welcome in the store.
I needed a pair of jeans from the store in Oklahoma City and they have no way of getting them. They no longer have the option to ship store to store and the person on the phone pretty much told me to drive the 2 1/2 hours and go get them
Associates lie about giving items for half off, they take it off of the lowest priced item you buy, but they don't tell you that. They dont want to give you the price you payed for it if you decide to return it. They want to give you less then what you payed for it. Will not shop here again. Waste of my time.
Ive been to several in malls and outlets in my state and for some odd reason there customer service is amazing. They will help you find what your looking for and if your on a budget they help you find amazing and cute styles on sales
I have loved Maurice's for so long and have almost exclusively shopped there. They have gone downhill in the last few years. They have changed their amazing Jeggings (don't fix something that isn't broke) and now they are thick and uncomfortable. Not to mention they made real pockets in front when they used to be false pockets, now they just poke out. The jeggings are now just uncomfortable and unattractive. They do not have near as many cute tops with layering options. Just plain jane tee shirts and ugly tops. They started selling lingerie, pajamas and kids clothes as well. Too many baskets to deal with and are losing out in all the other areas.
Online ordering is a joke, and takes too long to ship, yet the stores have little inventory.
Get it together before a good thing is lost.
I am not satisfied at all with maurices, I ordered about 5 itema on 5/25/20. It has been 2 weeks so far and I have not received my items. I called to check on the status of the order and was told that the items have not even left the warehouse yet, she said it could take up to 2 more weeks. When I make a order online, I do not expect to have to wait a month to receive it, this is poor customer service!
