I was in the Maurice's store at Honey Creek Mall in Terre Haute, Indiana this evening and was treated terribly by two of the employees there. I felt I was being watched and profiled and when I asked if i did something wrong and why they were laughing at me when I left the store the girl replied "I just wanted to know if you were ok". I told two other sales people I was fine but was continually watched while I was in the store. When I asked for the manager she told me she was the manager and I asked her if she felt it was ok for her and her employees to laugh and treat customers that way. She again said I asked if you were ok. She was very disrespectful and rude and I will never go in that store again as long as they are working there. I felt very nervous and uncomfortable as if they did not want me in there. This is a terrible way to make customers feel and it should be addressed immediately. Very poor skills for a manager and her employees. I felt because I was an older white woman they thought they could make me feel like I should not be shopping in there. After reading other reviews about this store, I have come to realize this isn't they only store that treats its customers this way. Your store is a disgrace to the public.
I went in to get a pair of jeans because I recently lost weight and I like the Ever flex jeans, the fit is amazing and I feel great in them! They had a Bogo Sale, so I got a Shacket and a couple of graphic tees for $10- great experience, and the sales person Emily was great!
Very disappointed in their delivery time when ordering on line. Would not recommend ordering on line unless you don't care when you receive the product
I had used their customer text option because initially my order said it was eligible for free shipping - but I got to the point of payment and it was still displaying the fee to ship. So I was messaging with a client services agent and she said I would not be charged and to just proceed with the payment. And that if for some reason it did end up charging me - she would credit it back. It charged me. She then informed me that although she would credit the shipping - I would be subject to additional duty and tariffs because she didn't realize I lived in Canada - this was NEVER disclosed to me, nor was the fact that the charge was in US dollars. She then told me that I would have to wait 24-48 hours for the money to go back into my acct. Even though I literally cancelled it on the spot moments after ordering. Throughout the remainder of the conversation (which I saved) she proceeded to lie to me three more times. I wasted 2 hours of my Sunday on this absolute JOKE of a customer service line. Still waiting for my refund. They have 2 days left to put it back in my account. I will NEVER EVER shop there again
Ordered 2 orders from Maurice's & waited oin my orders, they never came. I called & they had 2 blank orders. Buy one get one half off of the vigoss jeans. I'm betting several didn't receive theirs
I got two pairs of blue jeans. Stained my tennis shoes and other clothing even after being washed. I feel like the material is strong but bleeds.
My computer froze up and I accidentally completed two orders for the same items. I used my pay pal account through my bank. Once I realized what I had done, when I received two email orders I emailed Maurice's and when hours later hadn't heard anything I went on the live chat. My distress was compounded by the fact that one of the orders was going to the previous address. What a nightmare! So on the live chat I was trying to explain that my computer had froze up so I had stupidly completed the order again and could the gentleman please cancel the order going to my previous address? I had both order numbers and they were three minutes apart. He shut me down and said I would have to wait until I received them both and then I could return the one. I told him it would be difficult to receive the one since it was going to a different address. He would not return the one order, nor would he change the address. Terrible customer service. I will NEVER buy anything again from MAURICES! Wouldn't do anything to help me
I sent back three returns. Was told it would say 30 days to process. I finally got confirmation of a refund for two of the orders. No mention of the third. I wait the 3-5 business days. It has now been OVER a month. I have called, emailed and live chatted. I called capital one and they put me on a conference call with maurices. We were on the phone for an hour and three minutes until after 9pm arguing with maurices. They put me on hold for ten minutes at a time- each time coming back with a new ridiculous excuse as to why I hadn't gotten my refund yet. EVERY SINGLE TIME I have reached out to someone they give me a different reasoning that makes no sense and give me the 3-5 business days bull. I finally got in touch with someone about why I never received a processed form for my third return. Took a week for them to figure out where it was. Then again that it would be 3-5 business days before I saw it- well it's been 8 business days- nothing. I have been a loyal customer since 2006. THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Every customer service rep & supervisor I have dealt with is an absolute joke. I just finally reported them to the better business bureau. Cannot wait to pay my credit card and then NEVER, EVER use it again.
I applied for credit card to get the BENEFITS THEY SAY THEY OFFER, got approved on the spot. Could not use the card on their end so the benefits they offered if I got approved I did not get. They never mailed me a card, went to the store had to get help there. Store was great, they said customer service sending new card. Got that card, I tried to use that card to get the benefits they stated they offered if you use their card, again, could not use that card since that card was mailed to me WITHOUT a expiration date. When I called to ask about the date they said, "sorry, we need to mail you another card". They did. Same thing happened, no expiration date. Called them because I wanted to make an online purchase again. I then asked how I could purchase what I wanted online and to still get the BENEFITS OF USEING THEIR CARD with my online purchase, they said, "sorry, you cannot"...so, another purchase made my AMEX to get what I wanted BUT STILL NO CARD BENEFITS WERE GOING TO BE GIVEN TO ME...NO REASON TO HAVE THEIR CREDIT CARD. Pain in the butt, I tried to close my credit card and they said it will automatically close in 5-8 months if I do not use it. I asked why I could not close it right now, they said it will automatically close and it currently has a $0 balance so there is no issue with that. I stated, "zero balance because I cannot use it", they replied, "we can send you another card". NOPE, 3rd card in 2 months that I could not use...service is horrible and benefits they offer with a card was a nightmare and never did get.
Clothes have a pretty design but the quality is not the best for the price. They are overpriced. I can find the same designs but better quality and price in Kohls or Macys. T
I went into the store to look at a dress I found online. They did not have the dress in their store, so I tried on a similar one and then ordered the dress I wanted online in a size small. This was two weeks prior to my party. I received the dress unfortunately it came to me in a size XL. I called customer service and they shipped me another dress and I returned the oversized one. Well the dress shipping confirmation said it was delievered even though it was not. I was home at said time and we have a ring doorbell and no one came to our house. I called customer service again and they basically told me I was out of luck as they could not guarantee I would get another dress in time even though they could have overnighted the dress to me. So after ordering in plenty of time in advance I am screwed and now have to try to find time with my long work day tomorrow to find a dress that fits properly and I like. Sooooo disappointed with maurices at this point and don't know if I will ever return even though this is where I purchase 90% of my work clothes from here.
My wallet was stolen, from what shouldve been a secure location, and the $100 gift card I received from Maurices for Christmas was inside. I called and emailed them on Jan 4, the day after the theft. I had no response so gave up. They got back to me 3 weeks later and asked for the gift card number so they could reissue the card. After multiple correspondences back and forth, i provided Maurices Customer service with the registration number on the receipt and a copy of the original receipt, which was the only document given by Mauruces when the gift card was purchased. Unfortunately maurices blacks out the gift card number except the last four digits on their receipts. I advised that I dont have the gift card number because the only place it was is on the card that was stolen in my wallet. Can they find the number since I gave all other information down to the minute the purchase was made. I even offered to send a copy of the police report.
After having to replace all my ID and cards, the hope Maurice gave me that they could replace the card made the situation more bearable.
In the end, I feel they wasted my time knowing that the only place the card number would be is on the gift card that was stolen. They say they cannot track gift card numbers so I guess somehow I should have written it down in case it was stolen. Theres no point in keeping the actual receipt. Its no help. If I could go back, I wouldnt have wasted my time contacting them.
As other reviewers have said, I also experienced the misleading online shopping. I spent time going thru the website putting items in my cart. I go to check out with almost $200.00 in my cart and it won't let me check out... after entering all information including credit card. I do an online chat which was such as waste of time, I was told if items say low inventory I might not be able to get them WTH, I put them in my cart how can I not get them, I am trying to pay! The online chat accomplished NOTHING, she kept telling the same answer. I go back and try and delete 2 items and still can't check out, this tells me that I won't be able to purchase anything. I am so furious at my experience so I email them with my complaints... here is were it gets really good, I receive a email back that states its unfortunate that I feel this way and they will be happy to give me a full refund on the clothes I purchased I just need to return them to the store. That means they don't even read the emails they receive had I been able to purchase the clothes in MY cart I would not returning them! TIME WASTED AND MISLEADING, not to mention UNHELPFUL!
The store in Weatherford TX is a very nice store but the girls are so rude. As I entered on July 18,2015 at around 730 I wasn't greeted or helped with anything and I went over to the shoes department and I simply asked this curly blonde hair sales accossiate or manger "excuse me which shoes are on sale?" She responded "honey just the those in boxes!" And the look she gave me was like I was stupid or I should know the sale they are running and she had her little sidekick next to her and they just laughed and giggled about me and it was so high school so mean girls i just asked a clarifying question cause I really like these shoes and she wants to roll her eyes and laughs at me cause I don't know and they were weren't even helping any coustmers they had quite a few people in the store and they were so in tune with their own convo they weren't even paying attention to the coustmers needless to say I didn't buy anything and I probably won't be back.
I use to love this store/site... I've been so disappointed lately when shopping there. Maybe I've just gotten to old:-)

I had issues with a manager, Rebecca at the Clarion Pa store regarding an order. She was rude and not helpful at all when she placed the order and having it shipped to Wyoming when I live in PA. I asked her to cancel and she said she couldn't and gave me a phone number to call and never thanking me nor assisting to help fix the problem, but she had a moment to make snide comments to me when I was on the phone to customer service. So when I went to the Butler, PA store and was placing an order there they confirmed with me the address and information needed before they placed the order. I explained to them the problem I had encountered at the Clarion store and they mentioned that I should send in a review regarding what had happened. I was also told that they have heard numerous issues with this particular sales person.
Weeks later I had gone into the Clarion store hesitantly to do a return and again Rebecca was there and again rude as ever. I knew she had seen the review I had sent in just by her attitude.
So I sent in another review….
I quit going in just to avoid her and I drive occasionally to the Butler store, which is a further drive. I use to enjoy shopping in the stores but I hesitate anymore and when I do decide to shop it's normally online.
So just the other day months after the first initial review, I was doing a return and decide to go into the. Clarion store in hopes that Rebecca would not be there. Unfortunately she was. I approached the cashier desk and said hello and that when Rebecca confronted me with telling me she gets all the reviews and knows what I wrote about
She continued to say ii was a joke to them and her associates and the people that received the reviews. That they would laugh at whole incident and I was a joke. She continued to chastise and belittle me in a condescending tone. That I lied and that her associates love her. Then she said "I thought you were never coming back to this store and here you are".
The only reason I went to that store with hesitation was to do a return before my statement was due I wanted to get in and get out without any words spoken and then she confronted me. So I guess the joke is on the consumer to write in a review and expect I better and constructive learning situation. Still waiting for corporate to contact me….
Online order took over 3 weeks to arrive. Had to scramble last minute to get alternative dress wear for wedding. Never again Maurices! DONE!
Jackson TN store will not allow you to use the restroom. So if you're in there with kids and someone has to go... to bad! I left no purchase!
The quality of the stuff is low and doesn't wear well. I bought a sweater, washed it to wear and it looks like it's years old!
