The reason why I am giving you 1 star is because of the shocking delivery service by Panther! I was originally told I would receive my delivery to 27 Bosley Crescent, Wallingford, OX10 9AS between 09.30 & 11.30 on Tuesday 28th, I then check the tracker at 08.45 and see I had a miss delivery? I phoned Panther to find out what was going on? They explained that my delivery was still in Northampton and I would get my delivery today but not sure when but I would receive a call a hour before it was due, which I was happy with. About 12.15 lunchtime I received a call from the Panther Driver saying we will be with you in 4 minutes! I had laid down on the floors dust sheets everywhere as it had been raining. The door bell went exactly 4 minutes after I had received the call, (what happened to the hours notice) I opened the front door where I was confronted by the delivery driver saying "my Boss has told me not to come in, you go and get your mattress!" I explained I had paid for the service and I was over 3.5metres away from the driver, then the driver's mate turned up saying exactly the same thing. I then phoned Panther and explained the situation that was happening at my property! They said I had paid for the service and should receive it, next thing the driver and his mate walk in go upstairs collect my old mattress, take no care and attention bringing it down the stairs, my new mattress was outside my front door in the pouring rain, they then bring my new mattress in, again no care and attention taking it upstairs, marking the walls (which need redecorating now) they then came downstairs with all the packaging and walked out saying I was a horrible customer!
They didn't leave me any paperwork so I don't even know wether I have received the correct mattress?
The delivery driver and his mate did NOT have any PPE on! Shocking service!

The delivery was very good, next day as promised. They delivered the wrong mattress, a CHEAPER ONE (I was not aware of this until a later investigation). Then the problems began. It was uncomfortable to say the least after a very short time, support on the edge of the mattress encouraged rolling out of bed. Several times I injured myself on a bedside cabinet when falling out of bed. I was aware of the discomfort but hoped in vain that it was a settling in situation. Having injured myself several times I contacted Mattressnextday and complained. They at first informed me the item was under guarantee (two years) but, strangely this changed later, to 1 year. They asked me to send photographs of the mattress to support my claim. Having sent 4 photo's they asked for more, which I duly sent. At this stage I inspected the labelling on the mattress and determined it was not the one I had ordered. By now 13 months had passed and I was informed that a charge was due if they were expected to investigate/examine the issues. Further there would be another charge for returning the mattress. If it was to be exchanged, only a small portion of the purchase price would be set against another mattress. It was clear that this disreputable company were now employing delaying ploys which to me was obvious and unacceptable. On advice, I wrote a recorded delivery letter outlining my consumer rights, (also sent by email) which included I should not be responsible for any charges relating to their breach of contract The companies response was they had done nothing wrong and claimed they notified me of the change before delivery, this they could not substantiate and I totally refute their newly introduced argument. I pointed out the Item was delivered the following day and ordered late the day before, offering no opportunity to advise me they had changed my order. Their offices closed at five o'clock. To obtain 'Next Day Delivery' the order was placed very close to this time. As I stated, there was no communication from Mattressnextday at all apart from confirmation of the delivery. This started serious concerns with regard to the honesty of this company so I contacted a solicitor with a view of taking my complaint to the small claims court. That situation is on-going. The content of my emails to Mattressnextday and their responses are being reviewed by my solicitor. BUT HIS ADVICE WILL BE PURSUED.
Answer: Avoid mattress faulty after 10 months won't repair replace or refund
Answer: Next day delivery is next day from dispatch, same as it is with all companies - it does not specifically mean next day from when you order (though some companies try and keep to that, that's not what it means or what they're promising). It means "when it's put in the delivery van, you'll get it the next day". It's not deceptive.
