Although I've had my gripe with Mandy.com when the service was free, then changed to a subscription format, I realized why they did it. This assures everyone they are getting what they pay for, and not random job listings. Worth the extra bucks to filter the quality jobs from the not so much.

mandy.com is a fantastic platform for actors looking for auditions across the UK. It is very user friendly and easy to update your CV and profile information. There are a huge number of paid opportunities posted on a daily basis so there's a high likelihood something will be the right fit you everyone.

Think it's a scam. Why would a company only choose to have their listings with Mandy which is a paid service and means that very few crew members will sign up for. Companies want to have access to as many people as possible. They can easily advertise on Craigslist, Indeed, which doesn't charge people to view submissions. Meaning they will get a lot more candidates than Mandy. The listings also seem fake. No one I know has every gotten a job from paying the subscription. I have tons of experience and have never received even an interview request. Ever. There's no way to even know the company's name that's advertising or if it even exists (it doesn't) because they don't give out the company's name. Legitimate companies advertise the name of their company because they want to get the best candidates.

I give this site 4 stars its an excellent way to get your creative arts out there. Very easy to use and lots of opportunities I cant wait to see what the future has in store. Good for performers of all walks of life.

I have been a member for 4 years and once every 3 months there's a suitable film crew job, so I pay for a months membership, so I can apply along with another 100+ applicants. Once I did get a job! Mandy need to reduce their prices it feels like such a scam preying on people that are searching for work. There used to be 30% off codes on the net if you searched around that just about made it acceptable if there was a job along with 2 almost suitable jobs you could apply for that month, but they don't seem to exist any more.

Excellent- really recommend to anyone who has enough money to pay for it annually and wants to get into acting, some really terrific features on there which you can't get anywhere else, but do remember that you only have a months free time unless you earn more or pay. Overall though I would 100% give it a 4.5 to 5 star review.

I have seen postings in Mandy that were nog posted anywhere else, so that's definitely a plus. I like that the website informs me when my profile has been reviewed as well. My only downside is the cost…

I joined Mandy pretty recently but so far it's been convenient to have film and TV opportunities and jobs in one place. I've definitely seen postings there I haven't found elsewhere on the main job sites and even on some of the smaller ones. It's hard to find openings in my city and they have quite a few more than other platforms. It's nice to have a separate place for volunteer posts so you can seek them out or avoid them depending on what you're looking for. So far so good!

Drive traffic to your profile and/or website. Over all it's pretty solid! They even offer a free 7 days of premium membership in exchange for a review of the free version I've bee using. They also offer 15 days if you send it to you friends for a free try. I like these kind of incentives.

I'm starting out my career in TV&Film and have recently signed up to Mandy to search for opportunities. So far I have got 1 job as a runner for a music video which was great, however the role was unpaid. The website itself works well, but my main issue with it is the number of unpaid roles advertised. This is a large problem in the creative industry and believe websites like this are encouraging unpaid work which is less than ideal.

Mandy used to be a good place to look for work, and check in to see what was new in the film and video world(s). Suddenly, well, not exactly suddenly but the place has gone through some changes over the past 1 plus years and now it is a tragic mess. Basically a place to avoid until they clean up their act. The last time I tried to log in they asked me for very personal information and would not let me access my data, unless I supplied it to them. A complete scam! Beware.

Very excited to get going with Mandy. I only recently signed up, but can already tell that there will be doors opened to me, relationships foraged, and I will benefit from it every day. Time to get to work! -Chris

Overall, good website when you're starting out in the industry. Plenty of opportunities for a wide variety of people. I don't like the search tool because it's not very intuitive and it's not working too well but except that, I can recommend.

Mandy was recommended to me by several actor friends, repeatedly! So I had to give it a look and signed up. I love that you can tweak the site to present your professional self to suit you, update easily and make new contacts. As a trans non binary queer actor with 20+ years in the industry I am aware how important it is to have a direct connection with potential employers and collaborators. I find it empowering to make that contact directly through sites like Mandy.

I have found several jobs through Mandy which have more than made the cost of the service worth it. I will say it requires a lot of work on your part, maintaining your profile and writing good quality applications, but if you are seeking commercial work, low-paid film work or entertainment jobs such as holiday parks this is good place to find opportunities. If you are looking for high paid and high exposure jobs such as West End then this is not the correct website, but for a steady working actor I have found Mandy to be useful.

So far my experience of Mandy has been positive, although I have only used the free version so far. There is a lot of activity, lots of opportunities, although I think the more attractive jobs with better pay rates are listed for those who pay the membership. With that in mind I'm going to try the paid membership and see how I get on, I'll report back.
