I keep trying to order items off their site, however, their Verified by Visa thing doesn't work. Just keeps me on a loading screen forever. Once I exit out, it removes my coupons(without notifying me), so I need to go back and add them. Then I start the whole process again, and it doesn't work again. Just going to shop from somewhere else.
I purchased several items online but wrong item shipped. Bill and shipping slip had correct item listed (Pendant)but I got earrings. I called listed customer service and got in automated loop. Tried online help but no longer available. Tried logging in to account but have to change password but cant change password because i have to log in to do it. Macy's used to be a nice store with quality merchandise but not is about what you would expect from a discount house.( stuff made in China and customer service from India). May as well shop at dollar stores.
Horrific experience. Worst customer service. Impossible to get through. "On hold" for over ONE HOUR as they were trying to figure out a mistake on a refund check they mailed me. The mistake was entirely an error on their part! The tone and attitude of the highest level representative I asked to speak to was dismissive and accusatory as though it were my fault. Unforgettably awful experience. A fraud of an operation.
Some info for everyone to know. If you buy a $1000. 00 watch from Macy's and in less than 3 month later battery in that watch dies they will charge you $60 for battery replacement and $80 for cleaning. That watch was worn one time. Also the return policy is 6 month but you can't return it because tags are off of it.
Shipping's usually fast and a good selection of clothing for smaller sizes especially in the sale category. But please, before you buy an electronic item from them do a search to price compare. Electronics are usually a lot higher on their site than elsewhere, unless they're having a sale, then it's the same price almost.:-)
Good site. Fun to browse. Easy to use and they make it easy to know what's on sale and what the coupons are good for.
My children have received coats 2 Christmas' in a row, and both times the coats were torn in less then a month. They are cheaply made, and I have never seen coats rip on the side by the pocket. The coats are warm, but each time they get multiple rips in the for from the slightest movement. I have never had that problem with any other coats in the past. They claim these jackets are $80 and sell them for $20. I end up buying more coats after they just got these.
I bought a pair of pants online 11. 21. 21, received today 12. 1. 21. Waited for delivery only to find security ink tag still on pants. Returned same day because security tag was left on. It was principle. I'm in store make a purchase, pant and sweater. Get home the security tag is on the pants. Ordered online so would not have to go in store. Frustrated because tag was on initial pair of pants. Then make purchase and happens in store also. My time is money, gas prices are high, I used to shop Macy's all the time. They really need to step up their game!
I have purchased several clothing items and shoes from Macy's.com. I have gotten some really great deals that actually surprised me. Most recently I purchased two coats that I got for less than half of their retail price. They arrived very quickly and I am very happy with the quality. Purchasing on their site was easy and simple to find items I was interested in.
I have been receiving shoddy clothing when I order online. But Macy's sent a really nice outfit for a job interview for my son. The fabric and the workmanship is great. Very up to date--grey on grey. I caught a sale so the prices were fine.
I had the unfortunate luck of ordering something from this website. No product ever arrived, they are impossible to get in contact with and don't seem to care at all about their customers. The level of incompetence of this website and company is criminal. Stay away!
I was at the Macy's today. I was the only Indian person in entire Macy's store who could understand the song. What about 99% of your other customers who spends thousands of dollars. Isn't this America?
I ordered an item to pick up at a location. They ended up not having it so they ordered it online for me with free shipping and said it would arrive in 3 days. 10 days later, it still hasn't shown up. They have told me they have shipped a new order twice and still nothing. I think they are lying to me at this point and that they don't know what the hell they are doing. They can't get their $#*! together with their inventory or shipping. Don't order anything from Macy's!
I purchased a $400 Coach handbag online. It was sent in a plastic bag in a plain cardboard shipping box. No Coach gift box and no dust bag. According to Coach authorized retailers are suppose to be providing these, the store doesn't even have them! Of course when you call customer service, your directed to a foreign call center, these people barely speak English, let alone know what your even talking about! Never, ever again will I purchase ANYTHING high end from Macy's. If I wanted to be treated like a Walmart customer, I could've saved myself a bunch of money!
I think your policies suck. You don't have any human compassion. You should be shut down by the federal government and never be allowed to business in the US or the world. President Bush has more morals than your company. I will never ever in my entire life purchase anything from you.
Update: Instacart Customer Service never investigated nor called back as they had said they would. I had to work through my bank and file a fraud complaint against them in order to retrieve my money. Additionally, I needed to replace my bank card so Instacart could not do this again! Be careful!
It took over an hour to make a simple update to my Star Rewards. I had changed my phone number, and it seems because of this I could receive none of my rewards. The representative was very slow and seemed to be English deficient. Thelanguage barrier made it near impossible to correct this issue. It then took more than 55 minutes to be connected to a supervisor who then handled the problem.
I've bought some nice clothes for good prices at Macy's. But they don't have anyone out on the floor or behind the registers to help. I also bought an umbrella there that fell apart. But so did all the umbrellas I bought anywhere else. Well made umbrellas don't exist.
Each time I try to see an item online, I have problems. I hate their format. WhennI try to enlarge the small pic, a header is always appearing from above and hiding the items. It is so frustrating. Also, when I look for an item, I don't want to go thru thousands of items. I know there are filters, but the filters do not have the characteristics I want. I think they are selling too much stuff!

I ordered a pair of shoes for a special occasion and paid for 2-day shipping. The shoes never arrived, and Macy's answer was to tell me to call the post office and try to find them. WHAT? You can barely understand their customer service people, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they put me on hold for 20 minutes and then said they'd "call me back." STILL haven't heard from them. I have been a customer for 40 years and THIS is the best they can do?
I purchased a few items today at Easton Macy today. I met with a new cashier. He doesn't know all the promo code and discount code that applies on purchase items. I was thinking to pay all in full and never asked any discount. But all off sudden the cashier said I would get 20% off if I do next purchase right away. I did the same thing, and he didn't apply or use 20% off. Next cashier overtook the counter and and she started giving me a lecture. They fool the customers in such way even they do not have any valid reason why they should say that. I felt upset for being cheated by Macy staff

Macy's furniture has a policy to commit fraud. They deliver damaged furniture then force you to purchase a new set if you want an undamaged set. They then stated it was company policy and If I wanted any type of refund, they would have to schedule a pickup and after it return and records received in their warehouse it would take an additional 21 days or more before a refund is processed. I spoke with store management, Macy's customer service management and they said no one could do anything about it as it is their store policy. Even their white glove delivery service apologized and said there was nothing they could do. I then called the 7 year NO Worries policy which they charged an additional $500.00 on the $5,000.00 sectional and guess who answers? Macy's customer service. All a complete fraud!
Please bring justice to so many others who have been defrauded.
