Much time wasted on the many phone calls (being placed on hold for endless amounts of time) requesting portable tanks be exchanged. Can not get them to answer their phone. Then when they do, they promise someone will be out but no one comes or calls. My mother is not low on oxygen tanks-but completely out now, must stay in her home until we find someone else.
I'm reporting them to Medicare and anyone else I can find to make sure they won't be paid.
Poor customer service, lies and distortion from every one I dealt with. Medicare needs to step in and kick this company to the curb-they don't play by the rules and told me that Medicare had changed the rules-Medicare said no. Then a local manager admitted to me that Lincare changed the time frame for replacement supplies to once a month? Medicare says 3 months and everyone else uses 3 month supply. Don't get tied up with this company, they could not care less about you or your health. Owned by a German company, you know the country that gave us Hitler and started 2 world wars killing millions of people and they are trying to take over the US medical supply business-wow!
Dr. sent a prescription for a readily available walker 15 days ago. After hours spent chasing this down, including over 30 minutes at a time on "hold," I was told that delivery would be this past Monday. No delivery. No call. Finally got through again to Mary in the Boston office. Without any explanation, Mary informed me that delivery would be "Thursday or Friday." When I expressed my displeasure, Mary hung up on me!
Horrible in every way.
Customer service reps are so rude,
Nasty and ignorant. What is really sad is that they are terrible to the patients whom are sick and not well.
Do your research before you use Lincare. Make sure you check your guidelines with your insurance company. They make their own rules, especially when it comes to a poc ( Portable oxygen concentrator). They said to my sickly husband "we are not going to hand you over a $3000 piece of EQUIPMENT". The doctor wrote for a portable oxygen concentrator which my husband needed.
We changed oxygen supply company to Ocean. There were no issues with any of his equipment. Customer service is excellent and delivery person was so kind and Compassionate. And they had no problem handing over a $3000 piece of equipment to my husband.
Lincare sucks. Terrible.
Shame on them.
Read their reviews and you will run for the hills.
I've been waiting for a replacement CPAP for 3 weeks. Scheduled to pick it up today and 30 minutes before appointment they call and leave a message that the office will be closed because they're cleaning the floors! What? Floors take persistence over me.
Attempting to resolve question on billing while out of town.
"Thank you for waiting, we appreciate your time (WHAT, 1 1/2 plus hours on hold?) & look forward to speaking with you soon (apparently not too concerned).
Now looking forward to finding new provider, actually concerned and responsive to customer needs …..
I receive my oxygen supplies from them and each time I call to order not a hello or thank u.Very poor phone manners and basic customer service.Sometimes argumentative and overall displeased with their service.
Very poor communication between the billing department and the local provider. Terrible customer service in terms of their automated call answering system... impossible to get a live person in a fairly timely manner. They do not keep track of what was accomplished/communicated/settled in previous conversations. Poorly trained customer service reps. Mostly sullen, poorly trained personnel in the actual LinCare offices. You can tell when a company has a lock on the business in a geographical area with no real competition... it allows them to do as they please. This is a company with a poor internal culture; just talk to their employees: they will quickly agree with your complaints and attribute it to poor management practice, poor training, and generally poor leadership. I guarantee this though... bet their profit margins are just fine!
Apparently oxygen is considered a recreational drug by Lincare. I've been told numerous times that I use too many B tanks. Too many is 24 in 2 weeks. Recently I was told that "people are using too many C tanks". Just can't make them happy. I guess they think we should give up any semblance of a life and stay confined on the oxygen concentrator.
I am an oxygen patient. I have now left 2 messages. One with a live person and one on a machine. I need new cannulas and a new charger for my portable oxygen concentrator. Kind of important don't you think? Been over two weeks and no call back. They were very good a couple years ago when I switched to them. They immediately called and delivered what you needed. Unbelievable! Oxygen is not something you can go without!
I've been using Lincare for my CPAP and supplies, and they are the worst. They have long wait times (~15-20 minutes on average) and shuffle you around on endless automated loops and between customer service reps before you can get a straight answer. Their billing receipt and packing slip are vague and non-specific about what you are receiving and don't include itemized costs. I am switching to a different company.
Call and always put on hold. Called early morning, took my phone# and said they would call back. Never called back. Called again spoke with answering service. They even said has same complaints all the time. Never get supplies when told I will or send less amount or wrong product. Claim never received order from doctor, when I watched him send it. Next step call insurance to see what they have been charging them for.
They have the worst customer service!
After failing to tell me we needed a doctor's note to discharge oxygen use, they charged me for a full month of service which we did not use.
After staying on hold more than 5 times at over 30 minutes each, I finally was able to convince them to issue a refund. Was told I would receive the refund within 5-7 business days. When this failed to happen, I had to call them AGAIN and was on hold for close to 15 minutes at which time they told me I should actually be receiving a check in the mail.
Avoid this company if at all possible!
We told them 4 weeks prior to leaving Florida that we would need portable oxygen. Less than a week before I found out that their plan was to give us 3 tanks that last 6 hours each for a 1200 mile trip, and that if we "ran out, you can go to one of our stores for more."
Do your research. Just because a hospital discharge planner has a relationship with them, it does NOT mean you have to go with them.
When reordering supplies there reorder web site has basic headings like "mask, headgear, cushion, filter, hose". There is no way to change the style of mask. You have no idea of what you are reordering. A model number or picture would do wonders. There are no prices to see what an item costs. When talking with customer service they tell you to call your insurance company for prices. About the only way to see what the prices is to look at the bill. Bill reads heated tube $199 facemask, $493, headgear $207. Seems if I am spending my hard earn cash I should be able to see how much an item is. Since I cant change type of mask I buy from other sites on web. Prices are shown on web are much much cheaper. If you dont reorder monthly Lincare will bug you with daily phone calls saying is a friendly reminder to reorder supplies. When talking with them they are about as useless as there web site. Looking into changing sleep therapy doctors to ditch Lincare permanently..
My mom has had 2 portable oxygen machines in one month. First one used 3 times. Had problems. They brought out new one Thursday. Using it for first time today. Alarm goes off. Oxygen not coming out. We are one half hour from home and Lincare was bringing out concentrator. It has been 3 hours. Still waiting. We have an oxygen tank since we always carry one for back up but it is almost empty. New company search on Monday is my first order of business! I am shocked to see the negative reviews and they are still in business.
Make sure you look at your invoices with the dates of service. This is the second time I have contacted them only to be told that someone would call me back. Still waiting for that call. I am going to be calling my insurance company as well as the insurance commissioners office. They are double billing people. I can never get anyone to answer in the billing dept.
There are other issues w/ this company but most recently I ran out of oxygen due to an extended power outage from storms. When I phoned Lincare to request a tank, I was
Advised they are not delivering over the Memorial Day weekend & if I need oxygen to call 911! Think about this! Oxygen is very important to all who need it. If you wish
To live.
I give them one star only because I cannot go lower!
After just one week of having their cheap, junk, the head gear broke. I called to get a replacement head gear. The woman was rude, unprofessional and not at all helpful. I still have not received any help from them. Had to buy a replacement on Amazon. CRAPPY SERVICE! Unfortunately, there appears to be no other option!
In my experience and opinion, it seems to be a big money making scheme. I believe they are a German-owned corporation with greedy American franchises, who prey on the sick or old. They stole hours of my time. None of the departments know what the other departments are doing. As a result, they harass you non-stop even after you have cleared your bill and sent the equipment back.
Answer: Yes, Lincare is fraudulent. I finally sent a letter to my Medicare Advantage and also Medicare. The only way to stop this company is to take action. All of our rants and raves are exactly that, rants and raves. Please talk to your insurance company and medicare provider. This company needs to not be in business, especially with such vulnerable customers who depend on them. WA state
Answer: You will not get satisfaction! I have struggled with this company for over one year because of Medicare requirements. Totally exasperating! Buyer beware!
Answer: Really? Then ask someone why I tried for over 3 weeks to get a new c-pap mask and hose from the HOME office in Florida and it never showed up! I'm not indigent like some of your customers, I don't accept incompetence. My sleep clinic simply changed me to a new supplier and I am now very, very happy with them.
Answer: DONNA, I REPLACE THE FILTER BY ASKING MY SUPPLIER, THEY USUALLY ARE VERY ACCOMADATING AND GIVE ME ONE. LINCARE, NORCO, AND SUPPLIER WILL REPLACE IT. I ALWAYS CLEAN THE VENTS MYSELF, BUT I LET THE COMPANY REPLACE IT.
LinCare has a rating of 1.5 stars from 799 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with LinCare most frequently mention customer service, insurance company and portable oxygen. LinCare ranks 44th among Home Care sites.
