Keystone Puppies

Bought my Lola (aka Nessie... renamed her) through Keystone and was very skeptical with not knowing anything about this kind of purchase. Saw her picture on website and fell in love with her. Breeder called (David) and we talked and I asked questions. I was very comfortable and made an appointment to see her. David and his sons were very kind and I could tell I was in the right place and they were only 30 minutes from me. Lola is almost 4 months old and healthy! She's a Maltipoo and a little firecracker. She makes me smile all the time and very glad that I pushed through the unknown. Very good experience and I would certainly do it again the same way.

The puppy named Daisy at the time was 10 weeks old and full of life. We took Ginger, her new name, to our vets for a physical and she was in perfect health and even more rambunctious and full of love than ever. A friend gave me a ride to Pennsylvania to get the puppy and unannounced he purchased a strong healthy male now named Brutus. The 4 of us headed home to the Berkshires about 7 hours away and it was a glorious trip despite the weather. Definitely would recommend Keystone Puppies and their breeders. Ginger at 11 weeks old is house trained, stays until her food is prepared, sits on command, shakes hands with both paws, lays down on command and comes running when called by name. Not bad for 11weeks.

Shawn and his family have an excellent business connecting people with their new puppies. I was sceptical but Shawn communicates everything very clearly and I was in constant contact until the puppy was in my possession. I've never met the Hostetters at Keystone but they seem to be very down to earth honest people. As for my puppy, he is exactly what I was looking for and more. He is extremely playful and full of energy, very healthy and great with my young kids. Overall couldn't be happier with this experience.

Our Goldador, Abby (formerly Annie), arrived alive and in feisty spirit after her 10-hour ordeal travelling from PA to OR via Dallas-Fort Worth. There was even a 2.5 hour layover in Dallas! I had called several AA Cargo Carrier offices to find out if they would give her water during layover. I learned that a sign needed to be posted on the outside of the crate giving this instruction. Unfortunately, Keystone did NOT put a sign on the outside even though they said they would and Abby arrived WITHOUT any water in her dish nor additional water bottles. She was the only critter crying when they unloaded her at the cargo bay. Luckily, at 11-weeks she was resilient. Kudos to breeder Vernon Martin for providing a well socialized pup! She grew up with her 8 littermates running daily with his three grandkids. She is just wonderful with people and at 13-weeks knows to stop at the curb and end of our property without even a leash. Amazing!

We adopted Tank & Taco, two adorable labradoodle brothers. Our daughter renamed them Ollie & Bear on their trek across the country on American Airlines. Ollie is more poodle and Bear is more labrador in both size and temperament. We knew in advance that the puppies were raised on an Amish family farm so we weren't expecting AKC pedigree breeds, but they are perfect for our family and we adore them so! The brothers are enjoying Southern California weather having escaped their first East Coast winter in the nick of time!

Postscript: We were a bit nervous mailing a personal check across the country (Amish do not use credit cards) but the breeder and Keystone were both very responsive and trustworthy.

Our experience with Keystone Puppies was great from beginning to end. We made our initial inquiry and then we were put in touch with Elizabeth Smucker who was the breeder. Elizabeth was great to work with from the beginning. She was very knowledgeable and up front with all the information we needed and she was more than glad to answer all our questions. After a few conversations with the breeder, we decided to adopt Maddie (now known as "Callie). We then went to work with Shawn at Keystone and he made all the arrangements for payment and shipping of Callie to Tennessee. The decision to adopt was made on Wednesday and we had sweet Callie in our home on Friday morning. The whole process was fast and easy and Shawn and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Thanks again to all of you. You're the best.

We are thrilled with our new puppy! He is healthy and super cute! Less than 2 days from search to pickup. The family was very nice, we got to meet his mom and see there other family dog and can see they are well loved and cared for. We were impressed with the whole process, the guarantees and the notarized vet checkup. It was easy to find the right dog for us and very easy to complete the process. Last year I adopted my Poodle baby and she is a year old already. I had such an amazing Experience with the breeder, he even arranged delivery service to my door during COVID times as I couldn't travel due to restrictions. Spending time with her I've rahe year never knew how time went by.

I am planning on getting another one hopefully by end of this month " a baby sister for my year old baby"
