Beware that if you return something, it may cost you hundreds of dollars. They charge you custom duties which are substantial but if you have to send something back, they do not refund those charges. So you will have paid several hundred dollars to try something on.
They don't advertise free returns so I think it is understood that you might have to pay some shipping costs to send something back. The size of the penalty is not clear from their website. If they were fair to consumers, they should warn you that with each purchase, you could be out several hundred dollars if you send it back. They charge you customs duties directly but don't return them to you even though you don't have the garment and it is back in its country of origin.
They also do not do exchanges. You have to send the items back, pay the large penalties and then buy something new.
It is a shame because they have reasonable prices and selection. If they were truthful, they would warn people about the cost of the returns. I would never had purchased anything if I had known.

Buyer beware. If anything goes wrong with your order or if you have questions the customer service is non-existent. You cannot actually speak to a person. I purchased a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes and mistakenly ordered a 35.5 rather then a 38.5. I missed the return window by a day or two not realizing it was only 14 days. All of my email attempts from the link on their site would not go through, just stayed in my outbox with an error message. I was only able to make a request for communication through their online chat and asked if I could get a credit or even even pay a restocking fee, anything. I had to wait a day for response and they simply sent me a link to a promotional company video.
I screwed u. I ordered the wrong size and didn't look at their return policy, my mistakes but what would it have cost them to make an exception and accept a return a couple of days past the deadline? They don't pay anything for return shipping anyway. Now I have to figure out how to try and resell these shoes or I am out $300. I scrubbed the internet for a phone number to reach someone there. You cannot find one.

We import original luxury products directly from the best boutiques in Italy where prices are lower (up to 30% less). As per our terms and conditions and according to the US law, we wouldn’t be able to keep our prices offering a free return. In fact, when you return the product it has to be shipped back to one of the boutiques in Italy.
We would like international shipping with DHL express to be cheaper but unfortunately, it costs money to ship items back and deal with the custom.

I ordered a D&G devotion bag through them. When I opened the box I noticed that all tags were cut off and just placed next to the bag. But Italist tag itself was still attached to the bag. Then I noticed a very strong perfume smell from the dust bag that came with it. Also it was ripped and had stains all over.
I emailed their customer support right away. The answer I got was "Sorry, we'll send you a new dust bag".
I kept asking about the tags being cut off and they said "Our partners ship bags without tags to avoid damaging the leather in transit"... hmm. But Italist tag is ok? It won't damage the leather?
I've never heard about such practice before. As a matter of fact I've reached out to other sellers and all of them confirmed that is not true at all.
I asked them FIVE times how come they require you to have all tags attached in order to return something but its ok for them to send an item without it. They refused to answer. Instead they said they can no longer send me a new dust bag and I need to return everything ASAP. WHAAAT? But I cut the Italist tag off to which they said I can't return it. Soooo they haven't responded to any of my emails from that point on.
And to summarize: I'm 100% sure that the bag is pre-owned. Yes, it doesn't have any signs of wear but it was pre-owned. Which would be ok IF I was shopping for that kind of bag. They sell luxury items and authenticity and customer service should be something they provide on a higher than Zara and Forever21 level. You CAN NOT trust this seller.

Returning is a nightmare with this company. I submitted request to return a skirt that is simply too big despite following the size guide posted on their website. Not only am I required to pay the return shipping charges, but I am also required to pay the customs duties for them to import the product back to Italy. This makes absolutely no sense - I've worked at a global international trade firm and there should be no import duties charged to return goods back to the shipment country, especially in the case when the shipment country is also the country of origin! Yes, the product I purchased was made in Italy! The wording they use to justify the return import charges is vague for a reason. They also do not refund the customs duties that you are required to pay directly to them at the time of your purchase to import the product into your own country. This is wrong. If Italist requires that you pay the customs duties directly to them at the time of your purchase, so they (supposedly) can remit them to the customs broker on your behalf, they should also refund you the duties you paid if you choose to return the item! Shady operation.

Return fees vary from country to country, but regardless the country are return fees are always under $100. For the US specifically, returns are typically around $60.
As you mentioned, we do not refund any customs duties. Duties are applied to orders with a value of $800 or more. We do mention this fact in our return/refund policy, and it is available on all the product pages.
Stated on our policy, we do mention that these customs fees can be recouped, as is done by a lot our clients.
"Once the return is processed and verified, you will receive a refund for the price of the order, excluding the total of shipping costs, customs duties, and/or courier charges incurred.
